Win or lose, everyone should have immense respect for Connor Shaw.  He is courageous and plays through pain to help his team.  I can't wait to see what leadership role he attains in his adult life.  This guy is a WINNER!  We are very fortunate to have him at the University of South Carolina.   With his running ability and passing skills, he would have lead any of the academy schools to a Top 20 ranking: West Point, Naval Academy, or AIr Force.  Congratulations Connor!

To Victor Hampton: when back for a punt and you are within the 5 yard line, let the ball go into the end zone.  CAPICHE?

Clemson played like they really did not wish to be in Columbia.  Instead of tackling the opportunity and playing up to their potential, they were horrible and did everything possible to not have a rematch with Carolina.  Frankly, they cheated their own fans by doing this.

The Fighting Gamecocks are LOADED at Tight End for many years to come.  Kevin Crosby has his senior year in high school to go before we "coach him up".

@ I have immense faith in Coach Martin but it will take a few more years beyond this recruiting year for him to build the program he envisions.  Coach McGuire experienced similar results when he started here and Coach Martin is the closest Carolina has had to replacing someone like Frank McGuire.

@Billy Koehler Billy - Lakeem plays hard and could've been a role player.  He is one dimensional as he has no offense skills.  I give coaching staff credit for one-handed foul shot...could only have helped.  Maybe with 4 years under Coach Martin and Co., he may have developed better offensive skills.  What happened to the 6'10" center who red-shirted last year than got hurt before the season began?  Horn had recruited that guy......

Frank Martin is the closest coach to Frank McGuire as we have ever had.  Let him work his magic in Columbia and I don't care how long it takes!  Just leave him alone...he knows what the hell he is doing.  This team is SO BAD that I cannot believe we have a 13-13 record!  Are you guys kidding me about him "losing this team....".   These are players who are just learning because they didn't learn squat when Horn was the coach!  And Frank had the two best prospects transfer!  And he has someone starting who at best is a D-II bench player in Lakeem Jackson...have you seen him shoot?  This is his best season and he's still has no clue on offense.  Nice guy and I hope he earns his degree....but he should have tried out for football b/c he is not a BASKETBALL PLAYER!!!  And off the court, I like the guy.  I can't wait til he graduates...

Hate to see Coach Lawing depart. He contributed greatly to the overall success and chemistry of the team.

Great recovery.  Matt Rolin will be a fine college LB and we will miss him.  His parents will miss coming back to Columbia too.  However, we have some red-shirts and incoming Freshmen who will do quite well when they hit the WB stadium.

Sorry but i am still confused why Connor Shaw was benched in the second half.  If the Florida secondary was so outstanding, than wouldn't the more mobile Connor Shaw be a better selection to give SC a chance than Dylan Thompson who is far less mobile?  I just do not understand what the coaching staff was thinking with that move and it produced NOTHING!!!  It was like OK, we messed up badly in the first half by giving Florida field position/easy chances to score!  But pulling Shaw just might have DEMORALIZED OUR DEFENSE before taking the field for the second half!  OMG I have never been more frustrated watching a South Carolina game than I was with this one.  I truly believed we were going to beat Florida.  We gave them momentum and they grabbed it and ran with it the entire game!   One last thought....just let me get this off my chest....IMO TANNER MCAVOY, who played GREAT in the spring game, would have been a much better second team QB than Dylan Thompson.  No disrespect to the hard-working Dylan, I just have seen Tanner play against some of the finest HS competition in addition to his performance in the Spring game.  Carolina lost out by letting him walk-away.  Have  a great day!   My Saturday SUCKED but it's Tenn. next.

Maybe Cam Newton will let him carry his bags or be his cheufer next semester. Or may Cam's Father will hire him to clean the church. The NCAA actually believed "Cam-The-Scam" when he told them he NOTHING about his father shopping him around. Really!!!??? And OJ didn't kill Nicole and Ron either. And people wonder why the NCAA gets such a bad rep......I hope all of

Dyer's credits transfer to Arky St. Academically, it's a much stronger school than Auburn anyway.......
