@deusprogrammer The thing is Lucas is willing to admit he's inspired by all of those things he "ripped off" also he atleast attempted to do some different things with a few of those scenes thematically or noticably improved on them. Also all of those things he ripped off didn't usually weren't ripped off the point where you can play the two movies(as Lucas was inpsired by many different things) side by side and and point out EVERYTHING as similar in story and tone

the fact is movies no matter what the age group it's intended for there are movies that can transcend it, like Rango the animated film from just last year which was basically made for Adults but had enough for Kids to keep them entertained, or say a Miyazaki film which kids will watch for the bright cheery shit and adults will watch as an art piece as well as look at the message about life.
Just because it's made for one audience doesn't mean people outside of that audience can't enjoy it if it's made well. So that excuse that "it's not made for you" doesn't mean jack if it's stupid, badly written and talks down to it's audience which in many ways this film does, and when it attempts to go for Adult audience(The villain saying he went out for the Role of Maria in west side story, a movie/play kids wouldn't get thus it's not trying to only entertain kids so your rant fails) it FAILS !
