@Wiggins tethered means that everytime you turn off your ipod touch, you have to go to redsnow and tether boot, (you need a computer to boot your ipod touch) untethered means that you can use your ipod touch normally, just turn on ipod touch and it is jailbroken and everything works. (semi-tethered means that you can turn on your ipod touch and all that, except some apps do not work, such as mail,safari, and other apps.)

Sorry but iOS 5.1 can not be jailbroken at all on A5 processors (iPad 2, iPhone 4s) sorry.

@IoannisEmmanouilidis i heard people on the site saying that maybe you can touch where the home button used to be and that space would act like the home button
@devil eye @EdwardDraper @jetbro did you reboot, rebooting is neccessary. If it does not work, sorry has not been working for me either.
@devil eye @jetbro search ifile in cydia, it is free and search this: /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.assistant.plist file. (Delete plist (it is the certificate, install certificate again)

I hope I can get the Iphone 4S, I like the speed of the new device but do not have one.

does anyone know if spire requires tethered boot, it says it may
