@KennethBrody you need to calm down

Thomas is not the problem and Jimmer is not the answer. Thomas is clearly the kings best option at the point guard. He controls the offense better then Jimmer and ray mac. Whenever Jimmer is at the helm, turnovers increase and the entire offense is at a stand still. I would love to see jimmer, ben mac, or thornton start putting up, and making shots. The entire team has become extremely inefficient since the loss of cousins. His role in this team has never been more clear. Simply put the kings cant win with cousins off the floor.

Really cant wait for cousins to return. Aaron grays production has been extremely poor.
Have you guys heard the jimmer for andre miller rumors?

@KennethBrody Thomas needs to start. He controls the offense much better then Jimmer does. Bring Jimmer off the bench and maybe let him play some two and then we can see what his true impact can be.

@ChrisDoster why are you even here then?
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Road Reaction Postgame Show: Phoenix Suns 116, Sacramento Kings 107
@Nelly13 Ok first off I really respect the amount of thought you put into that response but there are some major flaws in my opinion. First off Rudy Gay didn't have many shots created for him because he has participated in one practice with his new team so that shouldn't be anyones concerns at this point. Second, IT has been phenomenal this year. He is consistently scoring and controls the offense better then anyone else on the kings by far. Now i am by no means a Jimmer hater but when he controls the offense it just feels like everything is off balance. His poise and offensive awareness is no where near what level Isaiah Thomas is at. Also who would you of liked to see match up against bledsoe or dragic tonight? Jimmer? Mccallum? Neither guy can put in defensive work against them. Jimmer will start to see more minutes as the season moves foreword. I would like to see him play more of a 2 coming off picks or running baseline. As for the same pick and roll play you saw over and over tonight, it is a common set coaches use to start out an offense. Like I said earlier this offensive style is in direct relation to the one practice they have seen with each other. Give this young team time and they will be able to mesh and learn each others strengths and weaknesses.
really like this trade!

Best starting five right now:
Im not 100% sold on outlaw as a constant scorer or defender but the way salmons has been playing there needs to be a change.
What do you guys think would be the best 5 to start with??
3 months, 2 weeks ago on So you want to coach the Sacramento Kings?
If anyone thinks that by simply putting Jimmer in the starting lineup will suddenly reverse the teams current losing ways, you are delusional. Jimmer would be a nice asset coming off the bench for a playoff bound team in need of a 3 point shooting threat, but Jimmer lacks defense and any playing time he gets, his man will outscore him majority of the time. Malone is obviously a defensive minded coach and that is the biggest issue with Jimmers, he simply doesn't fit in the defensive oriented game plan set forth by the coaching staff at this time. Now im not saying that Malone should just abandon him at the end of the bench, by all means if there is a lack of energy and focus put Jimmer in and see if he can hit a few shots but any prolonged playing time will almost guarantee a negative plus minus stat. However, for a team that is currently struggling to score a hundred points maybe Malone should seek some sort of deep bench help. I would expect to see Jimmer moved by february in some sort of multiple team trade, but until that happens I can't see him being a threat in the NBA.
@nusserj @phil2112 thats an ignorant statement

@JustinLee4 thats ridiculous
@Cowbb Totally agree. Way to congested at the shooting guard position. As much as I like Jimmer and his attitude toward the game of basketball I think he will be gone within the next two years freeing up playing time for mclemore and thorton. It will definitely be interesting to see what direction the new coaching staff will go with the depth chart and total minutes. I think Marcus Thorton performs better when he starts rather then coming off the bench and Jimmer should play better with vasquez being able to free him up for open shots rather then Jimmer having to create them himself.

@Zooba17 @benilfeld Although Shaq is a minority owner, i believe it will have the same feel as Jay-z and the nets. He owned a very small portion of the team but many people associated him as the primary owner. But look at what that did for the organization. Having him involved with the team encouraged higher caliber players to consider playing for the nets and a new arena was built. Also there is no way that purple and yellow will dominate the kings home games. Of course there are going to be some fans with shaq jerseys but remember that we have the most passionate and loyal fan base around. Fans will still rock the purple so dont be expecting a ton of laker gear. This is a step in the right direction, the team is evolving much like the city. Goal number one is to build a new arena and this is a great step toward attaining that goal.

When I first heard the news about Shaq investing in the team I was confused and a little nervous about what this would mean for the franchise but after hearing the press conference and everything he has said I am very excited. Not only are people talking about Sacramento but it feels like the area has become a step closer to fruition. Now that front office and ownership issues are starting to resolve and see improvement its time to really step it up on the floor this year and exhibit that we are indeed making improvements. The future is very bright in Sacramento and I cant wait until tip off.
