I admit that having fine thin hair makes it so hard for my twists to look nice (In my opinion). I will continue with my natural hair journey and hope to find a happy medium.

I am so appalled by the way the both of these ladies are being treated! I mean you would think that after enduring many years of racism the black community would be more supportive to one another. This doesn't make any sense. I am not condoning Taj Mowry's statement toward the black community, but after seeing and hearing the way his sisters are being torn down, I can understand his feeling.

This is so cute! I hope they connect!

@AlsatiaWatley "Gal" is just as insulting it seems like it may be a nicer word for "pickaninny. She seems to be screaming for attention! She is pathetic!

Why should anyone consider his future? Did he consider it himself? Come on...actions produce repercussions (negative or positive). If his future was as bright as some are trying to portray he would have known that! I think he is lucky....if that were my child....

I am so immune to this. I usually tell them that I stole the baby or that I found him (when referring to my son or her referring to my daughter) in front of the store and that I am looking for their parent. I get a total kick out of it! When I delivered my daughter the nurse asked "Does that white baby belong to you"?

You know, before I opened the thread I already knew who you were referring to! Isn't it a shame?! I think that it is insane to even give this loser an opportunity to ask for any kind of assistance government or otherwise!

@Christelyn Yes I saw that! Do you guys do the Hyatt Jazz Concerts during the summer? I would loooove to attend the book signing, count me in!
@Christelyn Oh girl I am in whitey white town too (Irvine/Tustin Ranch), but I usually go to L.A and stock up on these products, lol
This is remarkable!!!!! It is so amazing to see an AA woman defying all of the "norms" set by society. Kudos to her!

The sound effects are classic! I also liked the 94.7 reference (my favorite station). I find that most of the stares come from Black men, middle aged black women are a close second. I once had a woman ask (in a Target restroom) if my kids were "mixed". I responded "yes they are biracial" she said "why'd you have to go there"? I just gave a blank stare. I was in such shock that she would even say such a thing. People!

You know I really don't think that you should have to stop identifying yourself as a BWE advocate publicly. You may not be accepted by certain people (whether or not they feel threatened or out- shined, I can't say). As you said your work speaks for itself. I can say for myself coming across your blog and noticing some of the commonalities that you and I have (and I am sure a lot of other women), it is encouraging and empowering to watch and read your triumphs. Please do not be apologetic to such an insignificant bunch, they obviously have issues, especially if they cannot express themselves without degrading or slandering others. You are still BWE in my eyes!

@eugeniaberg @glamdoll@deleted_1910844_AJ1997 Okay yes I saw that! I mean that still doesn't give you the right to try and take jabs at an innocent person.
3 years, 1 month ago on RANT! Biggest Racists Of All: Black Folks!
@eugeniaberg @glamdoll@deleted_1910844_AJ1997 Dumped? On Twitter? Wow!
@deleted_1910844_AJ1997@eugeniaberg @Chocomusings@Christelyn You know it is one thing to respectfully disagree with something/someone, but to just go on the way this person did, with the vulgarity, and profanity...that's not the way adults behave.
@eugeniaberg @deleted_1910844_AJ1997@Chocomusings@Christelyn to AJ's comment regarding Choco- I will say as I did last night, my mother raised me to treat everyone equally, and I do so. No race is superior to another, just because someone personally feels inferior to whomever does not lead to the conclusion that black women feel that another race is of higher standard. The conversation is so simple! We are all free to love who we choose, when another takes it upon themselves to throw out insults, then it becomes a matter of person. Are you envious? Do you have personal feelings of inferiority? I mean how do you come to the conclusion that Black Women in general have this opinion of the Caucasian race?
@Chocomusings@eugeniaberg @Christelyn Dang! You just put your foot in your mouth again! You just stated not even 2 hrs. ago that Blacks shouldn't tear each other down, and you come with this? I seriously doubt if Chris cares about your "venomous" baby mama comments.
The Freaks are out, huh?
@Chocomusings@Christelyn I think in some ways you may be going to far! I seriously doubt that the ladies here are in any way coming down on the entire AA race. The whole discussion is based on a specific group of AA who make it a point to tear-down women who date or marry non-AA men, it has nothing to do with the AA race overall. I think every BW here knows where she "belongs", especially if she looks in the mirror on a daily. The ignorance lies in your interpretation. If you can become so offended by what you thought someone was making you personally out to be then you have issues beyond this posting!
@aceontopofkings@DidiO@Black Women With Other Brothers@Nkosazana Oh yes! Isn't that the worst! I just got the evil eye from a BM in the grocery store yesterday! They can be total hypocrites.
@ElfeV@formavitae That shows you how twisted minds work, it's bad for you to love and create this beautiful life until she turns 18..then its all good for them!
@eugeniaberg Oh yes! That post is dedicated to them, I can sense their presence! lol
Before I forget! Just to clarify, I in no way refer to all BM when I use the term "they". I am referencing those with negative beliefs as it relates to interracial dating, marriage, and family! I know there are plenty of Great Black Men! My Grandfather is one ;)
@Toni_M@formavitae@ElfeV Oh yes! My daughter is only 7 but we discuss our expectations for her (in a child friendly way) often!
@EliseYMason@forgetting4u I think it has become an epidemic in the sense that, people are not recognizing their true feelings of themselves, and subconsciously projecting their negative feeling/ lack of self -worth onto their off-springs, which in turn causes them to repeat this cycle.
@MercedesHasLeftTheBuilding Good Night!
@MercedesHasLeftTheBuilding@deleted_1895823_Pearl@EliseYMason@tigerjlv86 I must be loopy too, because I thought about Girl Scout cookies! I am way too involved in my daughters activities!
@EliseYMason@forgetting4u You know the sad thing? They really to their core believe that!
@EliseYMason@deleted_1895823_Pearl@tigerjlv86 Sadly it is becoming rare in our community!
@deleted_1895823_Pearl@EliseYMason@tigerjlv86 Honey don't ever let anyone make you feel bad about not being a slore! You are right where you need to be, maintain your position. Let them call you whatever they like, and when they become statistics and/or walking diseases, you can just sit back and enjoy, lol! That's mean, sorry
@formavitae Oh yeah we are not suppose to want better! We are suppose to grovel at their feet and beg for a chance to be loved...even for a night, right? Please, they can wait for that day!
@eugeniaberg @Toni_M And it is so sad, because I want Bonquisha to die I really do, but.... ignorant people can only understand ignorant conversations, and Bonquisha is my translator.
@formavitae@Toni_M Not at all, but we (black women) are the ones with the problem!?
@Toni_M@formavitae Why the inferiority? I was raised by a single mom and I must say God kept his hand on us, because she always encouraged me, nurtured and protected me and my dreams! She exposed me to any and everything she could that helped to shape me, and I never felt inferior to anyone. We all have the potential to be Great in our own right.
@formavitae@Toni_M I just think it is embedded in their being! I hear intraracial hate all the time within my family and when I am out!
@eugeniaberg Exactly, but when people want to justify their stupidity they always pull the slavery card. It does not apply to people today, you can not punish innocent people for what someone else has done.
LOL, I understood about the cut and dry!
@formavitae Okay! I honestly have not had a BM speak to me (in passing) in a while! Especially when we are together as a family..it's like I have committed the ultimate sin. Thank You for the support ; )
