Currently out for delivery, since about midnight.
Full functionality (with the exception of the invalid youtube link) on my 4s. I think it's a cool ls.

@br1an12876 Maybe they finally figured out that there needs to be a finite number of siriport users to keep the server up and running. I doubt that's the case, but it would be smart.

@teohenwhy I don't even get a chance to ask, it double-beeps, and just skips to the lower pitched double-beep, and stops.
@teohenwhy Haha, I deleted it when the server went down, and tried spire, so I don't think it matters much.
@teohenwhy No, does that sound like my problem? Maybe I should try reinstalling or delete the plist file and reboot. What do you think, any thoughts?
@Surtock@catwoman76 Nope, at least not yet.
I was activated before, and now it won't even let me say anything, just to quick beeps and that's it. If I try again, I get the "I'm terribly sorry" bs. They obviously didn't fix the problem, just patched it up.
So, apparently nobody uses spire anymore. I have an upgrade, maybe I'll just buy a 4S and be done with this business.
@teohenwhy We have actually discussed this several times on this page, and it it not confirmed or otherwise that it works. I did try coping the plist file from a working siriport, and it worked for a couple of minutes, and then failed like everything else.
Seeing as how it looks like siriport isn't coming back anytime soon, does anybody know of a good (stable) proxy (paid or free) for spire?
Servers still down.
@Freon Where did you get the certificate from to use this? When I installed spire, it didn't install the certificate profile to run properly.
@JerryDeitzJr What mirror site is that?
Ya, earlier in these posts, people were getting the idea that the plist file was required for activation, but at least for this CDMA iPhone user, I was able to activate without it (just before the server died).
@Tgbeast Forget about the plist, you don't need to change any of it. Just follow the directions as they are written, and wait for the server to go up, if it ever does.
@Tgbeast Anything worth working for is worth finding. :)
@Freon How do you use them with siriport anyway?
@Tgbeast Yup. Check back through the posts here, there are a couple of different links you can dl the cert file from. I can't remember them.
@ngallur@PowW1997 Because as paid server, because it is a pay service, will be much less cluttered, and will continue to function.
For those of you who are sitting here waiting for the siriport.ru server to come back online....1 of 2 things are going to happen.
1: The server is upgraded to handle the load it has been getting and comes back online better than ever
2: The server is repaired and comes back online as is, but because of the constant load, eventually goes offline indefinitely as they will never be able to handle the number of communications coming in at once.
Yes, the first scenario is possible, but much more plausible, and likely at this point, is option 2. Go outside and get some fresh air, and enjoy life, and stop worrying about this.
Yup, siriport.ru is down once again.
@iphonemodder1 That's awesome that you got it working. Which site did you use to install the cert? I'm not sure that it makes a difference, but who knows at this point.
@SunilLala Do you really need it every 15 minutes? lol give it a rest!
@RuiSilva@RyanGrainger11 The real problem is not anything you're doing, it's the fact that this tweak went public looong before it was truly ready to be released.
@RyanGrainger11@RuiSilva As I said before, this is not a proven method to activate this. Those that got an activation after deleting the plist file found a lucky coincidence.
@RuiSilva@RyanGrainger11 var/mobile/library/preferences, but don't hold your breath on this one.
@RyanGrainger11 That doesn't work for everybody. I went around that loop several times, as did others.
I went through 2 days of trouble, and when I finally got it working (temporarily of course until the server once again failed), I remembered what a big deal siri isn't....it is not worth all this trouble you're all going through to get it. If you want it bad enough, save some money and buy a new phone lol.
The plist file bshroat87 is sending everyone made some changes for me. I finally was able to get siri to respond to me with my name. I think the server has slowed to a crawl however, because I haven't been able to ask it anything else. Also, it called me by a random name once, which is weird.
@Fourarms02 They didn't do it on purpose, (I assume) the server got overloaded, and crashed.
Of course the server is offline! For the record, I said this was going to happen with thousands of people who just can't wait bogging the server down. Now you have no choice but to wait. :)
@jpbourdeau You should be able to go into settings/general/siri and change the Language to French, use it completely in French.
Does somebody with a working siriport want to share their plist file? That would be much appreciated. firstname.lastname@example.org
@Mr_DLR Seriously it's not worth getting all worked up over. It isn't doing my phone any harm sitting in wait for a server improvement. Until then I will do nothing.
It really is amazing how something like this can cause such a panic in such a short amount of time. Is there anyone who has successfully activated in the last couple of hours?
@seagei You need to read the posts. This was answered a few different times, and again just 4 posts down. Install corona from cydia.
Yes, you need to install corona from cydia. It worked for me. Not that it matters, the server is still too overloaded to do anything.
@virusbogdan I can see that now. I guess I'm just one of many people that are just going to have to wait a while.
I think the server status page is defunct, as I am looking at it right now, and it says it is up and running, and yet it says 0 people speak with siri now. If the server was truly up, and nobody was using it, those of us with issues would have no trouble connecting.
I want to know what the logo is pictured left of the 3 logos posted at the top of this post...simple but cool.
3 years, 1 month ago on How to get Custom Boot Logos iOS 5
It would seem that actually installing siri on an iPhone 4 (CDMA) is possible (followed by an installation of corona from cydia for application loading issues) is possible, but the servers are either still too overloaded with people like us trying to access them, and therefore are completely crippled, or this whole thing is bogus, and doesn't work at all. Now that I have the base software loaded, I can just be patient and wait a few days for people to calm down and stop trying constantly. This is just like the day a new jailbreak comes out, and the cydia servers are down and out. People need take a break from their "instant gratification" laden lives, and be patient.
I was able to install it fine, and it appeared to be functional, but now I am unable to open any of my apps. The opening screen appears, and waits a minute, then I'm back to my home screen. What happened?!
This tweak is covered by bitesms, along with activator gestures, and probably by other tweaks that already exist as well.

@SjoerdvR Last time that happened to me, I ran the jailbreak, and then went to jailbreakme.com to download cydia. I only tried that on 4.2.8, but it worked then. Try that.
3 years, 2 months ago on Jailbreak 5.0.1 Untethered (iOS 5) - iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad, iPod Touch 4G, 3G
I upgraded to 5.0.1 from 4.1.8 (CDMA) back on 12/27, and other than a bogged-down cydia, the jailbreak worked flawlessly. MANY of the cydia tweaks are still in the works, but surprisingly, most of the ones I had used before still worked. Much props to Chronic Dev Team and the iPhone Dev Team for all their hard work.
