@dwhidden Update: Received mine just now, but have to wait till Saturday to actually use it...it's a gift.
Currently out for delivery, since about midnight.
Full functionality (with the exception of the invalid youtube link) on my 4s. I think it's a cool ls.
br1an12876 Maybe they finally figured out that there needs to be a finite number of siriport users to keep the server up and running. I doubt that's the case, but it would be smart.

I was activated before, and now it won't even let me say anything, just to quick beeps and that's it. If I try again, I get the "I'm terribly sorry" bs. They obviously didn't fix the problem, just patched it up.
So, apparently nobody uses spire anymore. I have an upgrade, maybe I'll just buy a 4S and be done with this business.
teohenwhy We have actually discussed this several times on this page, and it it not confirmed or otherwise that it works. I did try coping the plist file from a working siriport, and it worked for a couple of minutes, and then failed like everything else.
Seeing as how it looks like siriport isn't coming back anytime soon, does anybody know of a good (stable) proxy (paid or free) for spire?
I have installed spire, and added the proxy server address, is that all I need to do? I'm still getting the "I'm really sorry about this...." blah blah blah.

Freon Where did you get the certificate from to use this? When I installed spire, it didn't install the certificate profile to run properly.

Ya, earlier in these posts, people were getting the idea that the plist file was required for activation, but at least for this CDMA iPhone user, I was able to activate without it (just before the server died).
Tgbeast Forget about the plist, you don't need to change any of it. Just follow the directions as they are written, and wait for the server to go up, if it ever does.
