Interesting that Nike has matching rights. I wonder how that works with the stock options and community center.

@Juwanna @FallenOSIRIS 1. The final roster cuts haven't been made yet, so it's more comparable to breaking the wedding off a few weeks ahead. 2. The FIBA World Cup isn't comparable to a wedding anyway, it's a terrible analogy.

While I agree it could set a bad precedent, a front office would look pretty bad to not honor such a deal, and you can guarantee no agent would agree to such a deal again. You can only burn that bridge once.

@d21 @Dominator Tell me if I'm wrong, but if the Cavs sign Wiggins first then his salary counts for matching, and they could keep Thompson? But they'd have to wait 30 days to trade Wiggins.

@sammasaaron @Mr_F @L0rv @Marko (Lacoste baby) It's hard for me to believe that that one-year difference was enough reason for Presti not to move down. I feel like there has to be something else.
@OBoy (LaFamilia) @sammasaaron @Mr_F @Perk-Punt And Jarrett just signed like a 10-day contract to end the season, right? But then was on the playoff roster so got the bonuses.
@Turf is always Greener @duhsweetness That or he was unable to move down, are the only two things I can come up with.
@Dominator Yes and yes.
@sammasaaron @Mr_F @Perk-Punt @OBoy (LaFamilia) I wasn't sure, trying to remember last summer's stupid controversy haha.
@L0rv @Marko (Lacoste baby) ....but you can make them restricted free agents, just after 3 years, right? Both of those tweets are stupid IMO.
@sammasaaron @Perk-Punt @OBoy (LaFamilia) Wasn't it Roberson that signed at 80%?
@ Luke Wow, Lowe goes in on Dwight and Howard as teammates a bit too talking about Bosh. "But there is an undercurrent around the league that Harden and Howard don’t represent the most appealing duo of teammates for any star who has lived within ultraserious professionalism."

@Air Bud @anonymous12345 @Mr_F Yeah he might've meant style of play included (both Harden and Dwight need lots of touches, so not much left for a 3rd star). It wasn't really clear to me.
@anonymous12345 @Mr_F @Air Bud Yeah that's true, forgot about that. I think "tantrum" is a little strong though (but that's being pedantic I guess).
I know Royce is already big time, but it's still cool to see him prominently quoted at Grantland.
@D@vid C'mon man, some of us are browsing from work.
@Air Bud I was honestly surprised by this, as I hadn't heard anything about him being a bad teammate before. But it's not attributed to anyone, so I'm wondering where Sharp got that from.
@chifro63 @Tvaddic Yep, that's a quote from someone that googles himself a lot.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on The Kevin Martin trade exception expires today
@King of Carrot Flowers the third LeBron Love and Kyrie is basically a guarantee to the ECF.
@Tvaddic Vegas is more concerned about where the bets will come in than who is actually the favorite.
@Julius F Wrek @Loud City Jimmy Why would he care?
@Durienne @Loud City Jimmy Hello LA.
@Bry Bry @Lost Ones @Loud City Jimmy @thelaughingwiseman I really want Collison to play his whole career with the organization.
@Turf is always Greener Insert LeBron comment.
@ThunderWins @[weed wolf faction] No one tell Miami!
@L0rv @Mr_F @Lost Ones I guess it's pretty close, I just inherently distrust new super-teams. And I think it being their first year with an all new roster is a factor.
@L0rv I'd be happier with that than Pau in San Antonio...
@L0rv @Mr_F @Lost Ones There's a reason the Heat wanted us instead of the Spurs this year. I do think we'd have beat them this year, but it's a bigger obstacle than Cleveland is likely to be in year 1.
@L0rv @Lost Ones Miami with LeBron was a bad matchup for us. No telling what the Cleveland team will look like, but they'd be in their first year together. Still gotta get out of the best, but removes a big obstacle.
@Bry Bry @Mr_F @Youbetrippin Not as much, true, but I think he'd offer him a very competitive contract to stay. Pure speculation, though.
@Youbetrippin @Bry Bry Wade has an interesting choice between a Kobe-like contract for a bad team or taking a lot less money for some contender.
@Bry Bry @Mr_F @[weed wolf faction] @stonecoldsteveadams Lol true it's a huge pain in the ass, and you still have to pay Asik $15 mil. I think it's still worth it though.
@Bry Bry @[weed wolf faction] @stonecoldsteveadams Really? Asik is one of the league's better rim protectors, the rest are replacement level or worse.
@stonecoldsteveadams @[weed wolf faction] I'm betting it's Rivers that's gone. He's been a disaster.
@stonecoldsteveadams @Tydude It depends on the DTer. It's either 4-1 or 100-1.
@Spike Bonze The Lin deal can be done pretty quickly. NOP has to move some pieces (probably Rivers) before they can finish the Asik deal.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Friday Bolts – 7.11.14
@KC_Thunder Maybe not better, but in the conversation for sure.
@Bry Bry They can keep Parson if they clear basically everyone else (Terrance Jones, Montejunas, etc.)
@Grolgar @okcjim Only team to take the Spurs to 7 games last year. Dirk + Carlisle makes them dangerous regradless of the rest.
@Air Bud Amen!
@d21 I'm happy for Cleveland but god is their owner a tool.
@Lacoste baby Not even if they get K-Love.
@[weed wolf faction] @d21 Lowe just tweeted that NOP may waive Austin Rivers to make it work. Edit: something about the "stretch" provision that I don't remotely understand.
@chifro63 That's actually really interesting. I was just starting to wonder what Wade would do since he said he wants to be a career Heat player.
@Lost Ones Yeah I'd be pissed if I were those two. That's a lot of money given up for no reason.
@KC_Thunder @Mr_F Yep I might've set the line too low.
@Bry Bry Not really the best fit defensively. Still could win 55 games in the East.
Over/under 2,000 LeBron youtube videos set to the "I'm coming home" song?
@Crow Denver too. But we've got him for a few years at least. ;)
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Thursday Bolts – 7.10.14
@Spike Bonze @claeys It'd be sweet if Bosh returned the favor and just signed with Houston before LeBron announces. Likely won't happen though.
