@Oboy Liked for the info, not because he's out. Kinda sucks we don't get to see him tomorrow night.

@AlexR44 @Mr_F You're right, Top 5. Which means they have no chance at all to keep it.
IIRC their pick is top 8 protected and they'd currently pick 10. Very little chance they keep their pick.
I think Thabo will really help shore up our perimeter lapses against the Mavs or Suns. I still think either could very well take us to 6 games if it breaks right, though.

@mattchant @AIaska You remember when Nate Rob was here and couldn't get off the bench, right? And I've always thought that Gallinari is extremely overrated, but that's probably just me. Edit: Or what f5alcon said. You're giving up way too many assets for maybe 1 more year of the same production.

@Perk-Punt @Turfright @okcjim Somehow you brought up the Harden trade in a context that Simmons never has, which is damn impressive.
6 days, 22 hours ago on Thunder take care of the Kings, 107-92
Last night's explosion is why I'm really glad we signed Butler. Maybe more so because I was terrified of seeing that type of game from him in a Miami uniform.
@Nicky Scarfo True, but there are so many things over this recent stretch throwing off our consistency (starters out, limited minutes, adding Butler, etc.).
6 days, 23 hours ago on Thunder take care of the Kings, 107-92
@Nicky Scarfo There was definitely more ball movement last night then we've shown in a while. But we can do that with Russ in his normal role, just look at the stretch we had in December.
@L0rv Apparently LeBron doesn't even know this.
I can understand saying it's not a record, but saying it's not historic is just silly. KD just did something that hasn't been done in 50 years.

Here's what you do: record the thunder game and watch game of thrones. Immediately start the game after and thanks to skipping TOs, FTs, and the execrable half time show, you'll be caught up halfway through Q3.

I thought we really got the benefit of the whistle in the first half last night, but it completely flipped in the second half. And the consistent no-call on the rip move was absurd, especially given the first half calls and the calls on the other end. And yes the rip move may be cheap, but so is grabbing and holding a player nonstop off the ball, and both are fouls under the rules.

1 week, 4 days ago on Durant gets his points, but Rockets get the win, 111-107
@JoBloggs @Mr_F it's obviously a problem with Perk too. But it doesn't jack up our spacing quite as much because Perk's man generally will stay closer to the basket. And Perk brings much more to the defensive end than Robes does (at this point).
I'm not overly worried from this game. KD was out of it (either tired or feeling the weight of catching MJ), and against good teams without Russ we need him to be great. Really glad he kept the streak alive, time to brush this one off and take down Phoenix Sunday.
@JoBloggs I agree that Fish and Butler are playing too many minutes though. No way should either be over 20/night.
@JoBloggs Because at this point in the year, it's about getting ready for the playoffs, and the rooks shouldn't be seeing much time then. Seriously, I love Roberson but the Rockets completely ignored him on offense, and that would be 10 times worse in a series.
@puffybutrbiscts @OKC_Gooner I'll go farther. 90% of any genre is crap. That's goes for TV movies and books too.
@L0rv @ThunderFanInSocal Going by tonight the rip move isn't even a foul anymore...
I know KD hasn't gotten many calls yet, but overall we've definitely gotten the benefit of the whistle so far.
1 week, 4 days ago on Thunder vs. Rockets: Pregame Primer
And incest. They need to learn about that too.
@ Luke @kfmsooner What about when Russ sits? I like Robes, but I'd like Lambo to get a shot too.
1 week, 4 days ago on Friday Bolts – 4.4.14
@okcjim I would love the Spurs to go after Leonard post-ups in that situation. I'd be willing to bet it's a less efficient shot than they'd get with their normal offense.
@ Luke Can I just say Durant and Westbrook? We're so spoiled getting to see those two all the time. (Edit: I was originally gonna say Dirk but you already said that one. ;)
@L0rv @ Luke Dallas is the only 1st round matchup with the great shooting and ball movement that bothers our defense. Add a healthy Dirk, and I think they're definitely one of the scarier draws.
@blackhiiippy @ Luke I'm ever-so-slightly more afraid of Dallas, but I think those two are by far the toughest 1st-round matchups for us. We should still win, but I'd be nervous the whole time.
@L0rv Ok, @Lasch beat me to it. Livefyre is being weird, I didn't see any of these comments when I posted.
@L0rv No. 4 overall, but top active. Clipped:
It's no surprise to see Presti is the draft's gold standard among current decision-makers (R.C. Buford and Jerry West trail him on the active exec list). Most folks recognize him for turning three top-5 picks into Kevin Durant (2nd in 2007), Russell Westbrook (4th in 2008) and James Harden (3rd in 2009). But Presti worked his magic outside the lottery just as well. Serge Ibaka and Reggie Jackson were both selected at No. 24 in their respective drafts and the former Spurs exec also found promising big man Steven Adams outside the top-ten.
Presti does have some blemishes. Like most advanced metrics, the DRAFT Initiative model doesn't like the Jeff Green pick at No. 5 in 2007 and trading up to get Cole Aldrich at No. 11 didn't do Presti any favors. But all in all, grabbing three potential Hall of Famers with only six lottery picks is ridiculous. And we're not even giving Presti credit for pushing the Spurs to draft Tony Parker. If Westbrook takes care of his knee issues, Presti could be at No. 1 before long.
@blackhiiippy @Mr_F Yeah, I realized that after posting. They should release how they weighted it though.
@Jooseppi @sammasaaron @Perk-Punt Well I'm glad my phone refuses to load the game thread comments then!
Also unless my math is wrong, our overall average should be 7.09, not 6.93. (Brooks: 6.52, Bennett: 6.23, Presti: 8.52.) Not a huge difference, but that would basically tie us with Houston for 7th (7.10 average).
I think Brooks should be ranked higher than #10, but the real disrespect IMO is him getting a 6.52 out of 10, especially with Vogel and Doc both over 8.
@f5alcon I'm greedy, let's go for both!
@Sustainable Parameters Wait: someone lost at tic-tac-toe?

@Bryson I'm still firmly on the long-term Lamb bandwagon. I'm not sure he's ready to contribute regularly this postseason though.
2 weeks ago on A few thoughts on #FrontOfficeRank
@Jooseppi @Mr_F It's crazy how drastically different the Harden trade looks depending on your view of those 2, though.
@Jooseppi @Mr_F Yeah, and it's good to try and pinpoint unconscious biases, so definitely worth thinking about.
@Jooseppi Some of the latter, certainly. But you're talking about an unconscious bias, which is going to be hard for a lot of people to isolate out. If that makes any sense.
@mattchant I'm willing to give Presti/Bennett the benefit of the doubt that trading Harden was more about flexibility than going into the tax. But if we don't dip into the tax before KD's contract is up, I'm all aboard the cheep cheep train.
@Durants Shimmy What @f5alcon said. It hasn't been as big of a deal under the new CBA because all contracts are shorter.
@Tvaddic That tweet made absolutely no sense until I scrolled down and saw the Beverly news.

@L0rv @ThunderBuddy @Mr_F I didn't think we played terribly against Dallas. Some bad defensive lapses, but that's been a Thunder theme for 2+ years.
2 weeks, 5 days ago on The Side Part: Week 22 – Bring on the flavor
@L0rv @ThunderBuddy @Mr_F I think we're more vulnerable to offensive-teams, I'd be much less worried about our defense against Memphis. (Could change once Thabo and Perk come back though.)
@ThunderBuddy @Mr_F Same here.
Part of why I'd rather avoid DAL in the first round
@Jooseppi @d21 Yeah, not a knock on Adams, he'll improve with time. I mean, I remember Lowe even criticized Anthony Davis's defense in his first year.

@d21 Pretty amazing admission really.
@King of Carrot Flowers the third We have very similar music tastes! I don't have stankonia though, I'd take that.
