@SamanthavanderTouw ...even today the deal is still going around however Sonic is the bigger names of today. People expect more because of the times (which I don't blame them one bit, selling a game for 50$ that literally takes somebody 30 min to beat in today's world is more so like a rip off...) People expect this long epic adventure that will take you everywhere and anywhere with great climaxes, kinda like such in Adventure of Link for the SNES. Instead people got other things like Link and the Faces of Evil....not to be rude -.- but the game is almost near unplayable.
@SamanthavanderTouw what I think truly is the problem with people at the moment is the fact that they are looking at today's standards.....or rather...back then standards. I would agree with you, if you were just starting out FANTASTIC STARt, it would be fantastic! Im not ripping on you or anything like that all I'm saying is, for hte times the games were made out, and the promises Philips made just didnt cut out to be what most wanted or even thought...say for example there was this one system in the day around the CD-I I believe that was supposed to be this 3D gaming way more expensive then any system but in the least sucked much more then the cheaper SNES
