mikeb1 I read most of the comments too, and I have to say, most of the negatives are the typical whiners, imo. The guy, Don Wilson, has an excellent reputation, and supports his products well, (it's the third product of his I've bought) but suit yourself. It might not be for you, but I'm just saying, the grumblers, are imo, morons, so I hope you don't let them concern you.

rickmosca I have to correct myself. Don Wilson has said he's going to add a text opt-in option, so I guess for now his software only creates an opt-in form for email, and I think it works with Aweber or Getresponse, and no other autoresponders.

rickmosca Hey Rick,

Not to preempt Jack, but I think I can give at least a partial answer: I found a WSO (Warrior Special Offer) which is QR software designed mainly to work with email lists, but the product creator says it will also work for text opt-ins.I don't think there's any way to auto-sign someone up, because they need to take at least one action to give you permission, but this comes close.

The thing I like is that it brings up, and prepopulates the opt-in form as soon as the person scans the code, so all they have to do is click to submit. I think it's about as automatic as you can get so far. I am not an affiliate, but I like it a lot. I hope I'm not stepping on Jack's toes if I post a link - if I am, Jack, I trust you will tell me and I'll remove it, or maybe you can just delete my comment. Anyway, here it is:

This is a killer tip Jack - thanks a lot! I'll definitely be using it on a brochure and some cards that will be printed next week! I am so glad you emailed me about it before we went to print!

MorrisMurphy I just recently created my first QR code, and would be quite interested in the list you are talking about putting on your site. I know they can be used to start a phone call, a text messaging opt-in, or go to a URL, but that's about the extent of my knowledge, and even those uses may have sophisticated nuances that I haven't thought of. I hope to get a chance to check it out soon.
