mblock appreciate the replies and if you guys are the designers my apologies for the public critique For sure sometimes video makes things look easier then they are. Looking forward to the race and hoping for a slight warm-up to turn that recent snow into some epic mud, or a blizzard during the race ala providence a few years back.
TimothyForrestWillcox Fair enough, but the video posted showed that without weather it is very tame compared to prior nationals. Weather makes any course a challenge. Cx courses should have character and that one seems limited based on the video shot during the regional race. Perhaps the park oversight wouldn't allow it, but the course needs a bunch more corners and better use of the hill.
Wish I would have seen this video before committing to going. That course in really unfortunate, even with mud/snow it lacks any character at all. It may have a bigger hill then bend but there is nothing about it that even begins to compare to the quality of prior nationals.
Course sounds pretty tame, spectator friendly should not usurp what a cx course should be. Why are they making it easier?
