DBPM "Box score estimate of defensive points per 100 possessions a player contributed above a league average player, translated to an average team. "

Essentially, Morrow's offensive spark, high +/- and Net rtg prop up his DRPM, but not DBPM which tallies "defensive points."

Can anyone explain this well? Morrow:

DRPM = 0.75     17th among shooting guards

DBPM = -1.9      bottom third of guards

@KingGondo @claeys I don't what Davis is thinking, but if I were advising him I would tell him to take the one year qualifying offer and seek greener pastures the following year.

Assuming WB doesn't keep expanding on his scoring title lead and stays at his current average (27.5), Harden would need to average 30.7 over his last 13 games to surpass him.

@TheresABabyFaceUnderMyBeard @d21 we're already in the 19th spot, ie surrendering the pick to the Sixers.  We would need the Wizards to have a better record down the stretch or to get bounced out of the playoffs by the Pels or Suns.  I don't see any of that happening.  There won't be a first round pick this year the way we're playing.

@Durants Shimmy I agree.  I really thought that the longterm benefit of Lopez trade would be to develop Adam's offensive game.  I think Kanter is already providing a similar benefit.

@International Man of Mystery (Dion Shot First) @Armchair Medicine @TheresABabyFaceUnderMyBeard at least you're consistent.  I don't think that anyone would disagree that what we really need is an elite 3-and-D guy, but I can't think of a prospect that was recognized for that on the collegiate level.  Wes Matthews was undrafted, no one saw Kris Middleton becoming what he is, Jimmy Butler exceeded all expectations, etc.  Russell is not a minus defender and he brings a lot to the table in terms of play-making.

@Bmuelle24 supposedly something happened at a bank, should he not bank anymore?  People lose conditioning while living in a protective bubble protecting against injury.  That deconditioning is MORE likely to cause injury, because when you do play at a high level you strain more to compensate.  See: Rose, Derrick.

1 week, 6 days ago on Monday Bolts – 3.16.15

@Bmuelle24 no, because the procedure is diagnostic in nature.  We are looking to see if there is a reason for the soreness and inflammation.  If yes => another procedure and uncertain timetable.  If No (more likely option) recovery from the procedure itself 3-4 days + reconditioning ~10 days back around April.

@The Meerhat Meerkat I genuinely believe that KD returning will be enough to get us in

1 week, 6 days ago on Monday Bolts – 3.16.15

It is probably unrealistic to expect Ibaka back before April, but there is no reason why a deep playoff run would be off the table.  If anything, this is dramatically better timing than the playoffs.

"clean out procedures" aren't the end of the season.  It is just a saline washout of the joint and a scope, we won't know anything about time table until after the procedure.  (The procedure is diagnostic in nature. ) If there was a reason for soreness then it likely means scheduling a surgery and lengthy recovery.  If the soreness is just related to wear and tear from the NBA season and nothing is wrong then Ibaka could be back in as little as two weeks.  There is no real information at this point.

What are the odds that WB can win the scoring title this year?  If he has another 6 games averaging 30 before KD gets back, he would only need to average 21.7 for the final 10 to stay above Harden's current pace.

@holymosesmalone I think you would need to resign whiteside first.  An aging Bosh and Wade are only so enticing, you need 'potential' in your sales pitch.

@BarryeffingGibb I don't think so.  At this point the injury really comes down to how KD feels.  There isn't a medical reason he couldn't play right now.

@okcjim @ǝnlɐʌ ɟo ʇol ɐ pɐɥ ʞɹǝd I've resigned the pick as a lost cause, no way Washington finishes out better than we do.  I'm taking the bandaid approach, better to just dispense the pick now when we don't really have roster space anyways.  Not a great draft for international stash projects.
