@thatgirlmari seriously?! That just made my day!! I'm shooting you an email :)
it's strange to see a social network advertising on TV, but I think the campaign was an interesting idea. NASCAR is the most popular 'sport' in America, but I feel like there might be a disconnect with the demographic. I would like to have seen the results of this campaign during the NBA finals or football season... no offense to NASCAR.
@search53 I think I'd still find this very useful. If it isn't in the room with the Kinect, at least you know not to waste time looking there! And if it is in that room, even better.
I love this article. Even as a services startup there was a lot to think about in terms of being on competition's radar, being able to make mistakes without others taking notice, and figuring out my business model without confusing everyone. I think there is a balance for every company, and for mine it was flying under the radar as long as possible, and now I still keep a low profile as my primary focus is on the success of my clients and not myself. Looking forward to hearing what other statrups have to say on the issue.
As I already said, I am beyond honored to be on a list with these amazing women. I am so glad you started writing for 12 Most, your contributions are wonderful and I enjoy reading each post you submit (plus Wine Everyday as well)! I look forward to continuing the journey with you, and hopefully we will meet IRL one day soon. Cheers!
Love this article, Diane! Thanks for opening my eyes to new chefs that I have yet to follow :) The one chef that I love that I don't see on this list is Stephanie Izzard, she's a cool Chicago chef and I love her restaurant and her recent cook book. Have a great weekend, cheers!
Eileen, we must have VERY similar taste... Santa Julia Brut Rose is one of my favorites as well! I may be a bit biased, after visiting the winery in August... but it's a great, crowd pleasing wine. Prosecco is one of my favorites so I will have to try your recommendations. I hope you have a happy Holiday, cheers!
Great list, Eileen! I have far too many wine lovers on my list, so this is a great resource. And as a wine lover, this list gets me excited :) I've always wanted an aroma kit but just haven't gotten around to buying myself one
Great list, Sam! I NEED #12, how helpful :) Have a great Holiday Season
Thanks for the tips, Kenna! I am having to write more frequently for my job and was going to look for a good crash course. I think I just found what I needed for the time being. Have a great weekend :)
sharongreenthalBruceSallan I'm a MethaJew so I know where you guys are coming from! Maybe we should start writing our own Hannukah songs - maybe they'd catch on one day :)
There could not have been a more perfect post to read with the fire place on, stockings just hung and glass of wine in hand. Now my only questions is... how much will it cost me to get my hands on one of those Sallan Family Christmas CD's?! Thanks for sharing, and making me feel like it might kind of be okay that the weather is getting cold, cheers!
Peg, this is amazing! i can't wait to try #... oh wait, I want to try all of them :) The Girl Scout Martini sounds particularly amazing. Thanks for sharing, I'll have to let you know how mine turn out :) Cheers!
I am in charge of brining a few dishes to Thanksgiving this year (for the first time) so thank you, thank you for these simple yet delicious looking pot luck dishes!! I will have to let you know how they turn out :) I'm thinking the 7 layer dip (old-fashioned version) is the way to go. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing the great Pintrest info, Peg! I'm not sure the last time a social networking site captivated me so quickly. And the pin it button you mention in #5, it definitely feeds into my addiction :) I think Pintrest will allow me to understand my friends interests even better, have a more beautiful home and have better style. Cheers & thanks for the info!
What a great post, Brian! Although it also makes me a little sad... I absolutely love Breckenridge but will be headed elsewhere in CO this year. Do you ever go in the summer? I was there in July for a wedding and I could not imagine a more beautiful setting (although, not quite as much to do as in the winter). BTW - Mi Casa's happy hour special after a day full of skiing is the absolute best :) Cheers!
For some reason, I was convinced that making soup was a difficult and tedious challenge. After reading this post, I am determined to try making some of these soups this fall & winter. #1 #2 #10 and #11 are at the top of my list - and I cannot wait for my place to smell delicious :) Thanks so much for sharing, Peg!
These recipes look phenomenal, and I never would have thought to use butternut squash! I am most looking forward to trying #11 Butternut squash muffins with a frosty top. Thanks for sharing these, cheers!
Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate that!
dbvickery I've also had the 7 Deadly Zins and would say it is a decent party wine, especially at the price point. I particularly reds with pepper and/or chocolate/vanilla undertones as the weather gets cooler. Happy Halloween Eve! :)
