Wow, the good messages were so moving. I wasn't in such as hard circumstances as the people on these messages, but I was also having a difficult time in my personal life when I found the Cinemassacre website and watching AVGN videos helped me pass that time. You truly do a great job, James.
I think Boo wants to be an internet celebrity like his dad :)
I like having the nerd blog, but I'm happier to hear you're going to focus entirely on the movie. The only think that saddens me a little... does that mean you're not going to have your "obligatory" cameo in TGWTG anniversary this year? (since I heard they're in the process of producing it right now). It won't be the same without Board James to explain how to play Risk or the Voice of the Ancient World telling Angry Joe to go fuck himself :P
Even with all the budget limitations and obstacles, I'm sure you'll find your way around them somehow, James, that's the Cinemassacre's spirit, and I'm also sure all that you're learning right now will get reflected in your Cinemassacre works and all the work you'll do in the future.

I've watched other episodes of Pop Fiction, and I wasn't expecting James to be in character for the episode, but it was kind of a fun idea. I admit still don't get used to the "unshaved look" of the Nerd, though. Fun cameo.
This makes me apreciatte a little more all the effort put in the episodes. I can't make my own list from the top of my head, but I agree with many of your choices, I also agree that the running gag about Kyle living behind the couch is freaking hilarious :P ... now I disagree in something: Gomez mustache, I actually thought James looked really handsome with it.

Very interesting read, thank you so much for sharing this. I would have liked that it included more about the movie and the Indigogo campaign, though. The economic support the fans had given to the movie is definately a testament of the power of web 2.0, and the benefits of cultivating a closer relationship with a fandom.
And according to this study, I'm part of a minority, I'm female and I'm a fierce fan of AVGN and videogames :)
I like how he talks about the Nerd as just one of his characters and projects, instead of talking about the Nerd as himself.
If you think about it, this video not only documents how the style of the Nerd came to be, but it's also a part of the history of how the whole internet videogame review genre came to be like it is today, since the Nerd style influenced so many people.
I was looking forward to reading more of your posts, Mrs. Nerd, and you did not dissapoint :)
There's so much I loved about this post, but I think my favorite part was the “Watch out, Boo, Mommy’s Drunk n’ Makin’ Fish” line, lol. Anecdotes and recipes, perfect combination. I'm definately trying "James' breakfast mess" one of these days :P

doyle138 dude, you realize that most people are fans of the Nerd BECAUSE they LOVE videogames, right? we play them, celebrate them and enjoy them, but we all know how is like to get frustrated by a bad game from time to time too. Nothing wrong with laughing a little about that.

I like how this vblog is more elaborated than other vblogs in youtube. It's still a simple video, but it has music, editing and an enjoyable pacing. It shows what James' good at
