@propsizzle 2013 - we were playing the best basketball since moving to OKC that season. Close to historic offensive numbers.
Last year even with a healthy serge I don't think we necessarily beat the Spurs

Would you consider this trade?
We'd then drop Lance Thomas and Ish Smith and then make this trade:
Russ / Foye / Adams / Serge / KD
Bench Rotation of Wroten / Morrow / Chandler / Collison / Arthur
PJIII, Roberson, Mcgary and Jerrett can play situationally.
3 days, 13 hours ago on Four straight the wrong way: Nuggets beat OKC, 107-100
Morrow is top (not really that suprisingly based on his skills, but perhaps a little based on his recent play).
He is 81st with a 40% rate
Serge is 116th with 36.8%
Collison is 123 with 35.7%
Perry Jones, Westbrook and Smith are tied 136 with 33%
Lamb is 165 with 32.4%
Telfair is 221 with 25.5%

@sammasaaron @Dominator yep
@Funaki you dude @Dominator Nope
@sammasaaron @Dominator Incorrect... sorry
Who wants to guess who is leading the Thunder in 3pt % so far this season and where that places them in the NBA?
@Josh Bluestis if he's healthy would you rather have him or Lance Thomas on the floor?
5 days, 10 hours ago on Tuesday Bolts – 11.17.14
@Perk-Punt 10-12 mil i think is reasonable and probably what he deserves
1 week, 5 days ago on Thunder Player Power Rankings: Formula won
@propsizzle @OSBC Th bagel cafe??
@d21 He doesn't need to do much... just have the ability to get to the basket and create off the dribble in 5-10 minutes a night
1 week, 6 days ago on Monday Bolts – 11.10.14
@_justin @Dominator @OBoy (LaFamilia) What is it you don't like outside the terrible 3 point shooting? Just holds on the ball too much?
@_justin @OBoy (LaFamilia) If Telfair does not shoot 3s, which he shouldn't do when everyone is back I think he can be effective in limited minutes. He has decent dribble penetration and can get to the basket better than most on the roster
@okcjim @Dominator Sorry - that was a typo - I meant to say 2-1... stupid thing won't let me edit it.
I take your point though. But as you say... with Morrow, PJ3 and Rob coming back we'll be a lot better
1 week, 6 days ago on Thunder scrap to second win, holding off the Kings, 101-93
The early season schedule has been pretty brutal. When looking ahead here are two things to consider:
1. Half of our games are at home (obviously). So far the Thunder have played just 3 of their 7 games at home and by Wednesday that number will be 3 of 9.
Currently, we're 1-2 at home with the 1 loss coming against an at the time undefeated and very good Memphis team that if we had hit a few free throws we would have won.
My main point here is we should expect to win or be in the majority of our home games
2. Everyone is talking about how we need to win 50 games etc to make the playoffs and 52 for a top 4 seed etc. The main thing we need to look at is the record of Portland. Utah, Denver and the Timberwolves are unlikely to break .500. If we can just stay within a few games of Portland we should be able to win the division and with that we get a top 4 seed.
Currently Portland are 4-3 (2 games ahead of the Thunder), however 5 of their games have been at home so you would think that they're going to lose quite a few moving forward.
@Tydude Yes - it was hilarious! Pinto said... Jim knew all the answers which is strange because he's never at shoot arounds
2 weeks, 6 days ago on Thunder Player Power Rankings: The Hateful Eight
@d21 That doesn't seem right.... based on my understanding 4 or more players are needed to miss 3 games (which happened after the Denver game) to get a 16th man.
Westbrook missing 3 straight games will allow us to get a 17th player.

@FallenOSIRIS @Dominator Why on earth haven't they singed another guard using the injury hardship rule? That became eligible after the completion of the Denver game.Presti should have pulled the trigger on someone that evening, had him practice on Sunday and travel with the team on this trip.
@FallenOSIRIS Did Lamb travel with the team?
@FallenOSIRIS Having Lamb coming off the bench will help a lot too
@d21 @Dominator oh sorry - I meant Rip Hamiltion
3 weeks, 2 days ago on Friday Bolts – 10.31.14
Does are chances of Ray Allen go up with the injury crisis? Would it be a selling point to guarantee a starting spot and 30 minutes a night for a month or two?
If we don't get Ray Allen what about:
@senseandsenescence @Dominator Brooks makes line-up changes and tactical changes when's he backed up against a wall (ie. 2 games down in a series or facing elimination). Otherwise his coaching is pretty non-existent.
This situation will help him and the team develop a offensive system
3 weeks, 2 days ago on Thunder lose in more ways than one to the Clippers, 93-90
@DapimpOfdayear @Dominator Russ hasnen't been voted in by the fans yet... I doubt an inured Russ will do.
KD - may well do yes..
I will add that I put a number of over/under bets on NBA team wins this season. I'm not too happy about one of the following so far:
@Webster81 @Dominator maybe so! he now has no choice but to develop the young guys and coach a system.
@bmuelle23 For sure...i really enjoyed the last two games! It motivated me to stay up late while I worked on a boring report for work
@Prodigy-X [Thunder 2015 NBA Champs] 4-6 weeks was his prognosis, that was a week ago.
But i've heard 2-3 weeks is common for his injury, so it's reasonable to expect a november return.
All you can do is look on the bright side...
Being as positive as possible, consider the following:
@SeinfeldOKC I doubt it.....
I think Reggie is starting, and Russ and Reggie will play 40 mins a night each.
Starting 5: Russ, Reggie, Roberson, Adams, Ibaka
Bench of Lamb, Jones, Collision and Telfair... the starting 5 will be played Thibodeau style with the exception of Roberson. See a heavy dose of Lamb coming in for him. Perk will be still play 10-15 mins a night backing up Adams
3 weeks, 6 days ago on Monday Bolts – 10.27.14
@d21 I'd say that maybe even a little high for the beginning of the season.
Not saying I'm overly concerned (yet), and I do think the Thunder will be just fine (perhaps better equipped for the meat of the season) going into the playoffs..
But for the first month of the season. I'd say somewhere between 10th-12th in the league is about right for the roster that will be on the court
@OBoy (LaFamilia) @Dominator @OKC035 at 6'8"?
1 month ago on Kevin Durant No. 8 in #NBArank
@OKC035 I don't hate that...
Dante Cunningham is not horrific... could do a job starting at SF and playing 15 mins a night. Let Reggie stay with the second unit.
@OKC035 Is there a FA out there who can shoot a little and help us get through these next 6 weeks?
@RRRWHOAAAA for atleast a few weeks we'll have 11 active players:
PGs Russ, Reggie, Telfair
C: Adams, Perk
PF: Ibaka, Collison, Thomas
Wings: Lamb, PJ3, Roberson
@tygablood To be competitive Reggie is going to have to start and him and Russ are going to have play around 40 mins a night....
A bench of Lamb, Jones, Collision, Perk and Telfair is not too hot
Lance Thomas makes the roster as 15th man
Morrow out 4-6 weeks
@areayewhy @Dominator ok - my bad. But the point is still valid. Is it worth exploring the option...
1 month, 1 week ago on Preseason Thoughts: Pelicans 120, Thunder 86
@propsizzle @McLasch @Dominator Right - I was just saying he's the only FA avaialable worth signing. And if we don't get him is it worth exploring someone on a 10 day contract.
Hell - Eric Maynor is available.
Does signing someone to a couple of 10 day contracts make sense going into the season? I believe you can sign someone on 3 consecutive 10 day contracts without making any long term commitment.
I'd like to see them get Ray Allen, but Brooks would overplay him, but it would be nice to have an additional practice body and insurance policy.
@_justin @Dominator @Julius F Wrek They were primarily basing it on the blow out last night in NO I believe.They acknowledged that Westbrook and Perkins were out - but not sure if they checked beyond that.
@TaoMaas @Dominator If he's focusing on offense like he will be the first 6-8 weeks I think his rebounds (and probably fouls) will go down a little.
With Durant back he'll concentrate a lot more on defensive assignments.
@Julius F Wrek @Dominator lol - yeh he's a new guy. They also didn't mention McGary!
@Julius F Wrek @Dominator Basically that they don't see how the Thunder can compete without Durant.
They said Jones and Lambs have shown flashes but can't fill the void (true), said Adams is an unknown and not ready for NBA minutes (bit crazy), Ibaka isn't a scorer (technically true - but certainly capable) and made no mention of Reggie or Morrow or Mcgrady etc
Does anyone listen to NBA Radio on XM. They generally have some pretty good knowledge. But they're discussion about OKC this morning was embarrassing.
@okcjim Will Durant is out I would think it's closer to 12 and 6. When Durant comes back I think about 8 and 8 is reasonable.
Minutes - 25-30 seems reasonable
@Lambaaaaaa Perkins didn't travel I know that. I presume everyone else was in warm up suits. I think Morrow was somewhat expected to play, but I can't blame them for not risking him
Was Jarett injured for yesterday's game?
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Thursday Bolts – 10.9.14
@okcjim @Dominator When talking about the Thunder you need to take into account Brooks.There is a big difference to what they should do and what they will do.
The same with roster additions... from the outside.... signing a veteran like Butler or Ray Allen or Fisher sounds great (play them minimal minutes situationally and help coach up the young guys). However, in reality, they're overplayed to the detriment of the team and freeze young guys out of the rotation.
