@d21 @Dominator oh sorry - I meant Rip Hamiltion
20 hours, 46 minutes ago on Friday Bolts – 10.31.14
Does are chances of Ray Allen go up with the injury crisis? Would it be a selling point to guarantee a starting spot and 30 minutes a night for a month or two?
If we don't get Ray Allen what about:

@senseandsenescence @Dominator Brooks makes line-up changes and tactical changes when's he backed up against a wall (ie. 2 games down in a series or facing elimination). Otherwise his coaching is pretty non-existent.
This situation will help him and the team develop a offensive system
21 hours, 58 minutes ago on Thunder lose in more ways than one to the Clippers, 93-90
@DapimpOfdayear @Dominator Russ hasnen't been voted in by the fans yet... I doubt an inured Russ will do.
KD - may well do yes..

I will add that I put a number of over/under bets on NBA team wins this season. I'm not too happy about one of the following so far:
22 hours, 3 minutes ago on Thunder lose in more ways than one to the Clippers, 93-90
@Webster81 @Dominator maybe so! he now has no choice but to develop the young guys and coach a system.
22 hours, 9 minutes ago on Thunder lose in more ways than one to the Clippers, 93-90
@bmuelle23 For sure...i really enjoyed the last two games! It motivated me to stay up late while I worked on a boring report for work
22 hours, 11 minutes ago on Thunder lose in more ways than one to the Clippers, 93-90
@Prodigy-X [Thunder 2015 NBA Champs] 4-6 weeks was his prognosis, that was a week ago.
But i've heard 2-3 weeks is common for his injury, so it's reasonable to expect a november return.
22 hours, 13 minutes ago on Thunder lose in more ways than one to the Clippers, 93-90
All you can do is look on the bright side...
Being as positive as possible, consider the following:
22 hours, 14 minutes ago on Thunder lose in more ways than one to the Clippers, 93-90
@SeinfeldOKC I doubt it.....
I think Reggie is starting, and Russ and Reggie will play 40 mins a night each.
Starting 5: Russ, Reggie, Roberson, Adams, Ibaka
Bench of Lamb, Jones, Collision and Telfair... the starting 5 will be played Thibodeau style with the exception of Roberson. See a heavy dose of Lamb coming in for him. Perk will be still play 10-15 mins a night backing up Adams
4 days, 20 hours ago on Monday Bolts – 10.27.14
@d21 I'd say that maybe even a little high for the beginning of the season.
Not saying I'm overly concerned (yet), and I do think the Thunder will be just fine (perhaps better equipped for the meat of the season) going into the playoffs..
But for the first month of the season. I'd say somewhere between 10th-12th in the league is about right for the roster that will be on the court
@OBoy (LaFamilia) @Dominator @OKC035 at 6'8"?
1 week ago on Kevin Durant No. 8 in #NBArank
@OKC035 I don't hate that...
Dante Cunningham is not horrific... could do a job starting at SF and playing 15 mins a night. Let Reggie stay with the second unit.
@OKC035 Is there a FA out there who can shoot a little and help us get through these next 6 weeks?
@RRRWHOAAAA for atleast a few weeks we'll have 11 active players:
PGs Russ, Reggie, Telfair
C: Adams, Perk
PF: Ibaka, Collison, Thomas
Wings: Lamb, PJ3, Roberson
@tygablood To be competitive Reggie is going to have to start and him and Russ are going to have play around 40 mins a night....
A bench of Lamb, Jones, Collision, Perk and Telfair is not too hot
Lance Thomas makes the roster as 15th man
Morrow out 4-6 weeks
@areayewhy @Dominator ok - my bad. But the point is still valid. Is it worth exploring the option...
2 weeks ago on Preseason Thoughts: Pelicans 120, Thunder 86
@propsizzle @McLasch @Dominator Right - I was just saying he's the only FA avaialable worth signing. And if we don't get him is it worth exploring someone on a 10 day contract.
Hell - Eric Maynor is available.
Does signing someone to a couple of 10 day contracts make sense going into the season? I believe you can sign someone on 3 consecutive 10 day contracts without making any long term commitment.
I'd like to see them get Ray Allen, but Brooks would overplay him, but it would be nice to have an additional practice body and insurance policy.
@_justin @Dominator @Julius F Wrek They were primarily basing it on the blow out last night in NO I believe.They acknowledged that Westbrook and Perkins were out - but not sure if they checked beyond that.
@TaoMaas @Dominator If he's focusing on offense like he will be the first 6-8 weeks I think his rebounds (and probably fouls) will go down a little.
With Durant back he'll concentrate a lot more on defensive assignments.
@Julius F Wrek @Dominator lol - yeh he's a new guy. They also didn't mention McGary!
@Julius F Wrek @Dominator Basically that they don't see how the Thunder can compete without Durant.
They said Jones and Lambs have shown flashes but can't fill the void (true), said Adams is an unknown and not ready for NBA minutes (bit crazy), Ibaka isn't a scorer (technically true - but certainly capable) and made no mention of Reggie or Morrow or Mcgrady etc
Does anyone listen to NBA Radio on XM. They generally have some pretty good knowledge. But they're discussion about OKC this morning was embarrassing.
2 weeks, 1 day ago on Preseason Thoughts: Pelicans 120, Thunder 86
@okcjim Will Durant is out I would think it's closer to 12 and 6. When Durant comes back I think about 8 and 8 is reasonable.
Minutes - 25-30 seems reasonable
@Lambaaaaaa Perkins didn't travel I know that. I presume everyone else was in warm up suits. I think Morrow was somewhat expected to play, but I can't blame them for not risking him
Was Jarett injured for yesterday's game?
3 weeks, 1 day ago on Thursday Bolts – 10.9.14
@okcjim @Dominator When talking about the Thunder you need to take into account Brooks.There is a big difference to what they should do and what they will do.
The same with roster additions... from the outside.... signing a veteran like Butler or Ray Allen or Fisher sounds great (play them minimal minutes situationally and help coach up the young guys). However, in reality, they're overplayed to the detriment of the team and freeze young guys out of the rotation.
1 month ago on Wednesday Bolts – 10.1.14
@okcjim Should be - of course!Will or could Scott Brooks do that? No... unless we're atleast 2 games down in a playoff series or someone is injured.
@L0rv @Joo_ivey @Dominator Thunder win totals the last 4 seasons:
55, 47 (translates to 64 wins in an 82 game season), 60 and 59.
With a healthy westbrook to start the season, they should make it to 58.
1 month ago on Reggie Jackson and the starting issue
So the over/under on win totals are out:
@amuk If Perk was traded yes
1 month, 1 week ago on Tuesday Bolts – 9.23.14
Is there any chance of Ray Allen signing with the Thunder?If so, what would his role be? Would Brooks overplay him? (Stupid question - of course he would).
But assuming, he could come in and play 15-20 minutes a night he could be great. I would probably start him at the 2 actually.
2 months, 2 weeks ago on ESPN Forecast has OKC atop the West
@Butterfingers I like the New Orleans roster if they can stay healthy...
Holiday, Gordon, Asik, Davis and Evans is a quality starting 5.
They have two good shooters coming off the bench in Fredette and Anderson...
Probably lacking a bit in wing defensive, but Asik and Davis are quality bigs and can match up with anyone in the NBA down low.
Their biggest question mark will be injuries without a doubt... but they have the quality to make a push
@L0rv @FallenOSIRIS @Butterfingers My guess is probably:
1. Thunder, 2. Spurs, 3. Clips, 4. Golden State, 5. Dallas, 6. Memphis, 7. Houston, 8. Portland
I do think Phoenix and New Orleans are in with a shout.
@Butterfingers You may be right... I think it's reasonable to say they have a decent chance of being better than them though...
Is it wow crazy crazy to stipulate that the Houston Rockets may miss out on the playoffs this year?
I would say the following teams are ahead of them no matter what:
Thunder, Spurs and Clippers - so that means a high of 4.
I think the following teams are probably ahead of them:
Memphis, Dallas, Golden State - so that means a likely high of 7
The following teams will probably be fighting for a playoff spot and could be just as good or better than Houston based on numerous factor:
New Orleans, Portland, Phoenix
In conclusion... I think Houston's ceiling is 4... they're likely to finish somewhere between 4-7 but could easily fall to 9th or lower....
@Perk has a lot of value No Abrines?
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Friday Bolts – 8.8.14
@Perk has a lot of value @Dominator Cheers buddy!
@areayewhy @Dominator @Butterfingers Similar on the defensive end yes...he's not a bad defender by any means. He's very active....just can' t protect the rim. He runs the floor better than Collision and scores more..
@Butterfingers Don't forget their starting center... Varejao... he offers next to no rim protection... all he can do is take charges and defend the pick and roll
@L0rv @Dominator @Butterfingers I'm not sure why they're even being compared to the Clippers... Clippers were an average defense who ended up with the 3rd best record in the West and who lost in the 2nd round
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Kevin Durant withdraws from the 2014 World Cup
@L0rv @Dominator @DanielLawler Westbrook too...
@L0rv @Dominator @DanielLawler I'll give you top 6 maybe... I'd take Tony Parker and a healthy D-Rose over him. Howard too probably...
@L0rv @Dominator @Butterfingers They have rim protection with Jordan.... Paul is a good defender as is Matt Barnes.
Clippers were 14th in points against... last year (pretty average)
@L0rv @Dominator @DanielLawler Top 8 is not disrespected.. At all... he's just not a top 5 guy in this league
@L0rv @Dominator @DanielLawler Big games are a factor. Who are you trying to say he's better than?
@DanielLawler Love is not a top 5 player.... In no particular order the following players are ahead of him: Lebron, Durant, Westbrook, Paul, D Rose, Parker, Howard...
Love is a top 10... border line top 8 players... he's completely unproven (as is Irving) in playoffs and big games.
