I'm tickled that our babies have the same Spanish baby talk words! "Ee-tah" for abuelita, "agua" (which she uses interchangeably for water or milk,) and so on. So cute. She also calls her abuelo "Ah-bo"

This was awesome to read! I feel nothing but pity for that woman, she is obviously mentally unstable.

Here's the thing, let's say you really are concerned over someone's life, wouldn't your first step be an email, a phone call, a text, a Direct Message, a Tweet? Realizing that in this situation, Gina has a partner who lives with her, who is actually in the residence and IN THE SAME BED? Even if you think someone is in serious trouble, calling the police and emergency dispatch from five states away is the equivalent of bringing a nuclear bomb to a knife fight.

I'm too busy calling the cops about McDonald's being out of Chicken McNuggets to worry about you, G.

My only suggestion would be that you wait until longer than 2 weeks post partum for him to go get his big V, because otherwise you will have two parents who are down for the count instead of just one. And if he's still sore, pathetic, and grumpy 3 weeks after procedure, try not to kill him when he explains that while yes, you just had a baby, your body was "meant" to do that and his body has been violated. Or something. P.s. it was his idea, we are in our mid and late 30s, and cannot handle another child.

Have you thought about sending this to  your state representative and senators?

I had to deal with both over and undersupplies, and they both had their own set of issues. Just because you have one doesn't mean you won't have to deal with the other at some point. (Yay?)

The one thing I hate at this moment is since my current nursling had problems with my apparently forceful let down and over supply, she latches, but will push away from me at the same time. Ouch. Knock that off, baby.

I'm so, so sorry. I've been there. Like the day when my mom called me to tell me her cancer was back, probably terminal, so I walked into see my HR director, where I was laid off. Within 10 minutes I found out I'd lose my mom and I did lose my job. Good times.

(Mom rallied and the lay off, while difficult, ended up being a miraculous open door.)

Such an interesting story. I read it rapt because I'm one of those people who are extremely sensitive to caffeine. I'm wide awake right now because I had a cup of cocoa several hours ago. A piece of dark chocolate can be as stimulating as most people's first cup of coffee. My babies were also similarly sensitive. Whether it was in the womb or out, for the first couple months I have to be careful of my intake or baby is a ragged mess.

I wonder how many other women have had unnecessary inductions following abnormal test results due to caffeine.
