Cole's statistics will be boosted by the fact when he's in, it's against the 3rd team of the opposition, that's not to say he's not got the potential, but I think the coaching staff know these players capabilities more than any of us, as they see them everyday at training, rather than the 5 min a night we see him on the floor. The great thing is we have the depth for the coaching staff be patient with Cole. And we need to be the same, patient, his time will come

On PER, it is a great tool have when assessing a player from an offensive standpoint, but like you said it's a tool not an absolute on who is the 'best' or ' Most Valuable' player. But you know what formula really interests me.... how 2k12 decides who is the MVP at the end of each season? Do they have sources from the NBA? Is it a complicated artwork of variables interwoven to give value to Value? Could we just plug statisics into it from the real season and get our MVP? Is that what actually happens and 'voters' aren't even real? CONSPIRACY!

I'm stoked to have Fisher on our team, he may be 'washed up' but the dude knows how to feed superstars and makes the right decision everytime down the floor. I think Harden/Fish combo on the floor will be great, and it would be interesting to see a Fish/Westbrook back-court

if you put this team around Dwight Howard, specifically Curry, I think it's a contender. Amnesty Biedrins, and next season they have roughly 20 mil in cap space if they don't extend Brown and Rush. I'm dreaming, but it would be a spectacular team. Defence is covered, Dwight has proven he can make any team a top 5 defensive team, and obviously the Warriors are offensively talented already. Dwight already went on a monologue about how he would like to play with Ellis and thinks he doesn't get the respect for his talent he deserves. (http://www.iamagm.com/news/2012/01/15/dwight.howard.says.he.would.love.play.monta.ellis) I'm not a massive fan of Ellis but I think having Dwight on the same floor as him would make Ellis way more efficient, for a variety of reasons.

@Jooseppi I get that it's ok to want to see our young big develop. but surely we've learnt to trust our coaching staff on rotation? clearly we were all pretty much wrong about Harden starting, how we undervalued Sef. Scott and these guys coach, train and live with this team, are professionals, and have taken a 20 win team to the top of the western conference in the space of three years, they are going to know when someone is ready to take on a bigger role, and if Cole isn't getting minutes, its because he's not ready.

i know basketball isn't played in a vacuum, but I don't think there is anyway the clipps go for 71% from 3 in the first half if Thabo is playing. and this is it, i was pro harden starting because i believed he was a decent defender, but I was talking to Matt Moore on twitter and he pointed out that harden defensive PPP is worse than Amare's... not good.

I'm glad Thabo starts and that our organisation values defence, and as long as Harden is getting close to 30min a night, it doesn't really matter. Also it helps that Thabo is shooting 48% from three now... he is basically young shane battier.

And watching the last few games, it's clear Harden is much more comfortable coming off the bench ala Ginobli, and bringing that spark and scoring to turn games to our advantage.

I think if it comes to losing serge or harden, and KD believes he needs both to win a championship, there is every chance KD would in fact take the 25%. Why? Because it makes sense basketball wise (pretty much the only thing KD cares about) but also $ wise as the endorsement opportunities that would come from winning say, 2 titles, would easily compensate for that 3million a year lost from his salary.

@courtsense i would much rather someone who is a legitimate scoring threat for everywhere and the floor and is still a very good passer, or at the very least, has a great attitude. Than a rondo/rubio for this squad, as what makes us dangerous is that we have at least two guys on the floor at all times who are top tier offensive threats. I admit, i'm a bit of a curry fan boy, but isn't that what Curry is? a future 50-40-90 guy who also dishes? he has 6 assists per game career average but with Durant and Harden that would bounce to at least 8.I dunno about you but having the sort of efficiency and bball iq that Harden and Curry would bring around Durant sounds pretty appealing to me.Obviously i'd prefer to just see all of them stay. but if we had to do one or the other. this is where i'd look.
