@okcjim @Jo_Cro @_justin It would be nice to get someone with a little more experience. The raw project type wings like Oubre and Johnson I just can't see making it off the bench. Any chance Anderson could play the 2 you think? Be nice to have a player there that both could hit shots and play defense for once.

@okcjim @Jo_Cro @_justin Which isn't to say I don't think Booker could make it, I just figure him to be a bit more of a risk, and definitely don't think of him as a high upside guy. Shooting is shooting, and the kid has the best shot in the draft. That's worth the 14th pick IMO.
@okcjim @Jo_Cro @_justin Jimmy isn't a great model to follow though. Plus he had about 15 pounds on Booker and was still much more athletic. Wingspan alone isn't a career killer, but lack of wingspan and below average athleticism combine to make a pretty serious uphill path for any player.
@okcjim @_justin He's stronger than people give him credit for, too. IDK though, Bookers 6'7 wingspan is right on the edge of "I'm terrified to draft him" range. Poor guy has alligator arms.
@b1walker @TempBoy Brandon @My Patronus is a TANK He'll go top five probably. Ten puts us right around FRANK.

@d21 @Mother Teresa @Jo_Cro puked in my mouth a little bit
Anybody familiar with the 14-20 range in the draft this year? Can't imagine we go any direction other than a wing, preferably a 3&D off-ball type. Devin Booker maybe? Kid has a hell of a shot.
@ASternlicht35 @My Patronus is a TANK @lowpostgame Kaminsky is closer to Kelly Olynyk, for what it's worth.

@Emergenzy Almost all TPEs expire. Just about every team has one, and few get used. Really not as much of an asset as its been made out to be.

@Perry Faction @Jo_Cro Yeah, they went with the Ibaka-Sanders type early extension. Think he's worth it though. Good rebounder, really good defender, decent finisher, great athlete. Young, too.

@King of Carrot Flowers the third Yup. So without any other moves they have to go three-guards (Burke, Burks, Exum) or throw Rodney Hood into the fire.
Gives em ~26 million to retain Kanter and Burks next season. One of those two and Burke would probably have to go.
@Perry Faction @Seabass Telfairy Worth it for Charlotte, not for Utah? Seems right.
@Perry Faction In comparison to playoffs? Yeah. In comparison the 12 months ago, when Thabo could still shoot and defend (mostly)? Lateral movement, if not worse. Seems like they want to see improvement from the young guys. Which is encouraging, but risky.
@King of Carrot Flowers the third lol too much work when I can just copy paste.
After adjusting for minutes, he's all the way up to 25th TRB% and 16th in ORB%. Good rebounder, very good Orebounder, but elite in neither.
@King of Carrot Flowers the third Nothing I've watched of him (probably like 20-30 Cleveland games) has ever suggested anything more than average NBA athleticism. I think he could be good next to Noel, I just worry about him rotating on defense.
Also he ranked 35th (http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/psl_finder.cgi?request=1&match=single&per_minute_base=36&type=advanced&lg_id=NBA&is_playoffs=N&year_min=2014&year_max=2014&franch_id=&season_start=1&season_end=-1&age_min=0&age_max=99&height_min=0&height_max=99&shoot_hand=&birth_country_is=Y&birth_country=&is_active=&is_hof=&is_as=&as_comp=gt&as_val=&pos_is_f=Y&pos_is_fg=Y&pos_is_fc=Y&pos_is_c=Y&pos_is_cf=Y&qual=trb_per_g_req&c1stat=&c1comp=gt&c1val=&c2stat=&c2comp=gt&c2val=&c3stat=&c3comp=gt&c3val=&c4stat=&c4comp=gt&c4val=&c5stat=&c5comp=gt&c6mult=1.0&c6stat=&order_by=trb_pct) in TRB%, I have to flatly disagree with him being an elite rebounder.
@King of Carrot Flowers the third No way, Hayward is two years younger, a better passer, and a better defender. I wouldn't want either for more than Nic Batum money (and that's stretching it) but I'll throw a max to Gordon first every time.
@King of Carrot Flowers the third Eh, he's not bad, but he doesn't have great size, skills, or athleticism. 13/10 per36 is okay, but it's with a mediocre .528 TS%. Throw in the lack of defense and I'd worry about starting him on a contender. Just doesn't bring a lot to the table, outside of some really good offensive rebounding. I'd rather pair Noel with either a bigger guy or somebody that could space the floor.
Dunno if Thompson is a long-term answer, but that's a lot of damn talent.
@Perry Faction @Greeed Maybe, need Wiggins to play really good from day one, though. Not much rim protection in there. Should try and flip Dion for a big man.
@Perry Faction He's freakishly quick + strong for a guy of his size. Big men aren't supposed to move the way he does. I'd love to see him develop basic ball skills and get some straight-line driving ability. Play him at the four with Embiid at the five and you have the stuff of nightmares.
@FunakiEjectsAnother [#StartLambFaction] @Jo_Cro lol the shameful part is it was all in photoshop cs6
Since it worked for Charlotte, I made one for us.
@[weed wolf faction] @Jo_Cro @King of Carrot Flowers the third I wonder how many minutes he can man-oh wait nope he just broke his hip.
@King of Carrot Flowers the third fuck he's 92
@greatwhitebuffalo http://westbrookframes.com/ careful it's all fire
@Crow Dunno if we could really get him working in the post like that against NBA players. A lot of what he managed at Baylor as a big man was athleticism-gap type stuff. Like the idea of a super athletic Russ-Robes-KD-Perry-Ibaka look though, run it the way Brent Brown is doing it in Philly. You'd need shots to drop (Robes) but lots of defensive potential in there.

@DanielLawler Wow I'd so buy a pair of these.
@ThunderWins @Bryson OR:
Presti (and the ownership) valued long-term flexibility and consistent winning over overloading for one year in the hopes of winning. He didn't predict the cap to raise as much as it is now projected to, the profitability of the team to increase to the point it has, and the owners didn't predict (and noone in the fucking world did) that team valuations would skyrocket. They valued a scenario where we're a 55-60 win team for the next ten years, winning a championship twice, maybe three times in that stretch where things broke right over a scenario where we have the duration of the superstars' deals to win, and then it's over.
I don't agree with the execution in trading Harden, but there's a clear argument to be made around attempting to replicate the Spurs model and not the Heat's model.
@DanielLawler @[weed wolf faction] @Jo_Cro @puffybutrbiscts @Greeed @Bryson I'm not saying he wasn't amazing but it was in a limited role with limited production and that was stymying many people's opinion of him. There was question over whether he could necessarily be a #1 option, there's a reason we couldn't get Bradley Beal or Klay Thompson for him.
@[weed wolf faction] @Jo_Cro @DanielLawler @puffybutrbiscts @Greeed @Bryson Top 15 though? I remember people talking about him being great, and I agreed that he was almost certainly top 3 SG already, but I just don't remember that much consensus about top 15, which would be extremely high for a guy on relatively limited minutes.
@Bryson @Jo_Cro @Tvaddic Absolutely agree. I just think he could also get into the ASG, especially as a reserve selection in a year where he starts hot and there are one or two injuries. But yeah, DPOY should be his award for years to come.
@DanielLawler @[weed wolf faction] @puffybutrbiscts @Greeed @Bryson Nobody in the world was calling him a top 15 guy until he lit it up in Houston. Not even close.
@Tvaddic I doubt Serge ever becomes a perennial all-star, but I can see him sneaking onto one, maybe two, with the right circumstances over the next 5-6 years.
@DanielLawler @Greeed @[weed wolf faction] @FunakiEjectsAnother IDC about the he said she said bullshit but Perkins for three years on the Celtics absolutely produced at $9 mill levels. For three years per 36 he averaged 11-10-2 on >.600 TS% while being the second most important defensive player. In today's NBA, that is 100% worth $9 million a year.
@Bryson Fun game: try to tell the difference between Garrett Temple and Otto Porter. They're goddamn twins.
@Bryson As an additional bench piece I'd love Baze, but he's not good enough to be the starter and he can't handle the rock, so I'm not sure how much he plays.
@duhsweetness Hey McBob is good. Spaces the floor out to the 3 point line, amazing passer, not awful defender. Big reason for CHA's playoff appearance.
@UnfortunatelyOptimistic @Jo_Cro @Di_charden @FunakiEjectsAnother The ability to hit wide open shots would be nice. But issues isn't just productivity, he hasn't looked strong or quick enough to play defense at a high level, at least to me. With disappointing offensive impact, not much to like. He could turn it around, bbiq isn't as big of an issue to me, except defensively. Just hit your shots and stay with your man, know your switch when you have to.
@UnfortunatelyOptimistic @Di_charden @FunakiEjectsAnother Can't defend and hasn't shot well.
@Tvaddic They've gotten away with hiding Curry what with 3 other plus defenders in the starting lineup but you simply can't play Curry and IT together. Does he want a backup role? Just average 20/6, I'd think he'd want a bigger job.

@Tvaddic How about a starting gig with a Real Championship Contender? Eh? EH?
@Frames Janco Just got signed away from Phoenix like a week ago.
So anyone with cap space lol.
@Chandler Bing. @Jo_Cro @harmlesslyfatal with HATZ @kegan005 I agree he's a better scorer, but more 16-18 than 18-20. Played minutes heavy for years and still hasn't managed 18 ppg since 06-07. Only gotten older and less athletic since then. Been struggling with shot. Decent complementary piece, but true value (especially with age) probably closer to 8 than 10. Probably end up getting double digits though.
@Lost Ones He also might want his team because it just sold for $2 billion, and with a new TV rights deal and more and more power shifting towards the owners, it's an asset that's likely to continue to appreciate in value. You might see incredibly rare jewelry as a luxury, but if I understand enough to buy and maintain the right piece in the right market, it can be an investment.
@Chandler Bing. @harmlesslyfatal with HATZ @kegan005 Not the athlete that either of those two are, also doesn't have the same type of positional flexibility or passing skills.
