@DudeBeAGangsta him and RG3 can give Westbrook a blood transfusion or something!
Everyone scroll up to the picture and look at how ripped Russ' arm is in the picture!
@MJOKC @thebossman4 He plays good defense on more than just Duncan and Howard. He has been able to play great defense on Dirk over the last couple of years, Gasol, plays well against Denver, and Houston. He was a great defender against the Spurs in last years WCF several times making big stops when he had to switch on pick and rolls. And as Perk always says look at our winning % since he has been here. Not saying that he is the key cog to us being a winning team, but he is a piece that helped us get over the hump to become a top team in the NBA. Again we will have to agree to disagree on this one.
@MJOKC @thebossman4 agree to disagree on this one I guess. I think Perk fits with our team great and does what we need him to do. His rebounding is the one thing I wish he would improve on over the 2nd half of this season.
@loplopol YES PLEASE! How scary would OKC's crowd be if Russ could have a signal to get us quiet then send us in an uproar? Would be epic if nothing else.
@thebossman4 I don't think we try to move Perk until after the year, if we don't win a title this season. I think Perk is a solid part of our team, and most on the board hate on him way to much. Yes he is over payed but most big men are. He isn't as bad as some of you make him out to be.
Ibaka is probably my favorite player on the Thunder but he isn't showing as much growth on the overall game that I would like to see. He seems to get beat the most regularly on the defensive side. I'm glad his offensive game has grown some and will hopefully become more used in big games like that and on the road. If he doesn't pull the trigger early he gets lost in the flow of the game late, and when KD and Russ take over. Just a small rant, but I really want him to just do tons of video sessions with some of our coaches and Nick to just learn the smaller parts of the defensive side. He will be able to block more shots if he is in better position more often!
@sammasaaron @Skyline This is why I love that so many "talking heads" think that Westbrook is selfish. In that quote right there I feel like he basically said I don't care about stats I just want to Win!
So instead of calling it Perk's YOLO follow-through, it should be called his YOSO-follow through (you only shoot once) ;P
@PerkPunt The first and most important is keep Russ and KD as happy as possible so they stay here for a long time.
2nd is keep using smart money on midseason vets who get cut after trades and keep finding quality players in the draft who can take 2 to 3 years to develop and contribute. Reggie is doing exactly what is needed from him, and after this season he will have another year to hone some of his shooting and PG skills and be able to give Russ more than 8 min of rest a game.
I think it is fairly easy for a GM when he has 2 amazing players and a third guy who is a great fit with them (Ibaka). I would think just keep the ship moving forward as it has been is the best Presti can do. Sorry if that is a boring response haha.

What do you all think of this trade? We would probably give up our Toronto pick and both of our 2nd rounders. Or just our 1st rounder and PJ or Lamb.
I don't know if anyone has said this yet but Anderson Varejo is going under the knife for 6-8 weeks.
I'm glad we didn't trade for him. Now for Gortat, so the Suns can get Gay and make Memphis less of a threat against us. :)
@AIaska The question is do we want the Raptors to do decent so we get a top 8 pick this year or to do terribly so we get the pick next year?
I'd almost prefer it next year over this year, but I haven't looked at who all could be coming into the draft this season so that isn't an educated answer just a gut feeling one.
@Tronchaser Nice I'm in Houston. It was sad to see the Texans play so poorly the final 4 weeks, but hey playoffs is a whole new ballgame! Who will you be pulling for?
@Aren't @Lambchop Where is our 2nd round pick from the Bobcats on this list? Or is it a 2014 2nd rounder?
I like how it was us taking another 7 footer from Kansas. Cole 2.0!
So how did everyone do in their fantasy football leagues this year? I got 1st in my paid league $250 here I come! 1st and 5th in my 10 team friends leagues. And Adrian Peterson was just 9 yards short of the record still sad!
@cemitten I'm not saying giving up prospects for a upgrade is bad or that it doesn't fit the "win now" mode. I'm just saying in this particular deal I don't think Anderson is that much of an upgrade over Perk. So I don't want to give up that many prospects for that small of an upgrade. If we were flipping those for Dwight Howard I might consider it, but Anderson Varejo...lets be real haha.
So I would not do the Varejo deal! I think Andy is a good player and would probably fit great for our team, but I think giving up 3 young pieces just to dump the Perk contract for a player that is 3 years older then him is stupid. I also don't want to mix up our team chemistry again. I think we can win a title with Perk at the 5 as long as Brooks doesn't play him 30+ min in every matchup. Our team is built to win now, and the next at least 5 years! As long as we have KD and Russ anything is possible for this team.
@OBoy Jones III All I'm saying is Kevin Martin brings up our team's attractiveness.
@SoCal Thunder no that would mean Westbrook on Joe Johnson and that wouldn't be good, since Joe is so much longer than Russ
