@C-Wil @f5alcon In reference to Harden, that is.

@C-Wil @f5alcon If the words, "I can't see the Thunder spending max money on a backup guard," come out of your mouth... you should probably just keep your opinions to yourself.
I'd like to invite Jenni Carlson to DIAGF. I really wish she'd go away forever. She is awful.

@DennisBerry Using your template... I'm 6'3" and when I walked past him he was definitely near the same height as me (give or take an inch).

@justin_mia You had me until you used "Coach of the Year in second full season coaching."
2 years ago on Saturday Morning Cartoons: Rituals
@justin_mia I normally tend to agree with you and think you're a pretty rational guy, but you can't be serious... Westbrook is better across the board. Saying he's more efficient and pointing out how Dragic passed Westbrook in AST% this year lacks context. Dragic is marginally more efficient with 33% less USG% than Westbrook. Dragic has had a higher AST% than Westbrook for one season (weak sample size) and using that as proof of something completely disregards the situation Westbrook is in v. Dragic (ie Westbrook is relied upon to score and doesn't have a big who can catch a pass).
For their careers, Westbrook is slightly less efficient on a much higher usage, and he's flat out better statistically than Dragic in every other category. Factor in Westbrook is of larger build with a significant edge in the athleticism department and it's not even close.
@Legendary_Dork It's too late for that. And I'm not even talking about the Grant Hill thing... which I find mildly humorous.
2 years ago on Grant Hill considering Thunder, Heat and Lakers?
@D@nny @OBoymuzik Shocking... kind of what I expected.

@OBoymuzik Every day he's trollin' is more like it. I wonder how many people's hearts sank when they saw it. Saying I'm highly skeptical is an understatement.
I'm ready to irrationally overreact to 2.5 quarters of the first summer league game. PJII, what a freaking steal! I'm a believer.

I want someone to make a Beard shirt that says, "He not hittin' the market." I'd buy one.
2 years ago on Thunder interested in Devin Ebanks and Roger Mason?
@EatSleepThunder I miss The Don. We need his Harden love to cancel out some of the recent Harden hate.
@ElMexiThunder It's worse with Magic Johnson's 2% stake in the Dodgers.
@OBoymuzik @Lost Ones Thabeet.
If we sign Thabeet and Orton to fill out our roster, do you think that's more likely a sign that we don't think we're going to be able to re-sign Serge or that we believe PJIII is more of a SF than a PF?
@Lost Ones The Thunder could have had 1.5 years of Dwight if they wanted to. That's my opinion. If you get Dwight in here and he wins a title in those two years, I believe he'd stick around. Either Presti believes he can extend both Harden and Ibaka or I don't think he was interested in that trade. That says nothing about my opinion on whether I'd make that trade, but it seems like common sense if the underlying premise that the Thunder declined Harden & Ibaka for Howard is true that those are the two options. If you can't extend both players in two years, why not trade for two years of Dwight and try to win a title now? It doesn't make sense.
2 years ago on Death and Luxury Taxes: The Thunder’s complicated future
@ElMexiThunder I get the feeling Harden is willing to take less to stay, whereas Serge is going to get the best deal possible for himself, regardless of where that might be. Just the vibe I have.
@Lost Ones Not saying they wouldn't, but that's what was reported. You seemed to imply that the only thing holding up Howard from going to OKC or CHI is Dwight, when that might not be that case.
@Lost Ones Were you not around at the trade deadline where it was reported the Magic asked about Harden & Ibaka for Howard and were told "not interested?" Just curious. People assume that the Thunder would make that trade and the only thing holding it up is Howard's refusal to come here, but that's probably not the case.
@MisterJohnsonOKC I'd rather scroll through posts about soccer than moronic Harden is a fraud, look at the finals. The dude played no defense in the Western Semis, etc. It's on par with Boomer football posts, and I'm an OU grad. You get enough OU football groupthink elsewhere.
2 years ago on OKC the ‘most likely’ landing spot for Hasheem Thabeet?
If you're criticizing people for criticizing the Thabeet move, but you're also on the trade Harden and/or Harden is a fraud... just look at the Finals bandwagon, please go away. For good.
And I would assume people who don't like the Thabeet move don't like it because of his attitude and how he would fit in with the culture moreso than what he's going to cost (nothing), his upside (meh), or the role he's going to have on the team (3rd string). I am somewhere in the completely ambivalent to mildly intrigued range with regard to the Thabeet signing.
@Lost Ones Wait, we traded a Boozer or Gasol type for Lazar? WTF?
@Lost Ones Man, someone likes them some second round picks. Yikes.
@cleandoe @Lost Ones @Old Man Game @MisterJohnsonOKC I actually looked up his BR page and was kind of surprised at his numbers (in a good way). Granted it's a small sample size, but his rookie year was pretty dang good IMO.
Is anyone else a little disturbed that Thabeet's Twitter handle is "HasheemTheDream?"
@diddoff I don't know. The Blazers very reluctantly gave him the $8 million qualifying offer last year, and they had so much more invested in the guy than anyone else. Not to mention I believe they scaled that number back eventually after another injury. If he could get over $5 million, then the Thunder couldn't sign him anyways.
@Old Man Game The argument would be you get him in, develop him, and hopefully he can replace Perkins in two years and save you some money. We probably need a 3rd center, so why not take someone with some upside?
That said, I don't buy into the, "get him in the system and he'll change" argument anyways. People don't change for the most part. And I'll always remember these two tweets from two years ago coming within 10 minutes of each other...
3:50 p.m.: Hasheem Thabeet says: "Late LUNCH before i go for a NAP!!! Mhmmmm Yummy." 4:00 p.m.: Kevin Durant says: "Good workout..worked on ballhandling, finishing thru contact, pull up jumpers, pick n rolls, and making tough shots with a man on me!!...!"
Guys who don't want to work, don't want to work. They're more likely to resent others that work hard than they are to see others working hard and want to join in. But it really doesn't matter much. It'll probably be for so little money that it won't matter. It's just the 3rd center spot. Nazr, Thabeet, whatever.
@Kreese29 @moriarty84 TY, didn't know. Assumed that was the case, but couldn't find anything on it.
@diddoff How much do you think Oden is realistically going to get? I'd rather pay more for Oden than Thabeet. Obviously I'm operating under the premise that OKC would be able to pay what it would take to get Oden.
Plus you have the sheer comedy factor that would ensue in Portland if Oden pans out for OKC. That would be worth it.
Is Greg Oden going to try and play this year (emphasis on try)? If so, I'd rather take a flier on him than Thabeet. Pretty sure Oden will never be healthy, but from a gambler's perspective, I'd rather have Oden's upside than Thabeet's certain mediocrity.
I've already had to swear off the ESPN boards... I'm hoping I don't have to swear off the comments section of this site, but it's heading that way.

@Jax Raging Bile Duct @dollarbillrussell I think I broke my mouse clicking "like" so hard.
@dollarbillrussell I'm not talking about attitude, I'm talking about effort.
We shall see. Hopefully I'm wrong about him, and I defer to OKC management.
@Jax Raging Bile Duct That's way too reasonable of an opinion. GTFO with that nonsense.
@ILikePancakes People don't change.
It's going to be Jeff Taylor at 28. Don't know why you guys are getting so worked up. He's Thabo only with more potential.
@diddoff Harden for 24?
@Jax Raging Bile Duct I want nothing to do with him. You aren't alone.
@OBoymuzik No one saw that coming.
@ILikePancakes They don't make *good* choices.
The Maloofs seem like exactly the type of owners to be wowed by hype and blocks. Ibaka for T-Rob?
Best shot at something "crazy" for Thunder IMO is Charlotte trades #2 to Cleveland for #4 and #24. Charlotte trades #4 to OKC for Ibaka + filler. OKC drafts Robinson. Odds of that happening are probably in the 20-1 range.
@SB718 I'm surprised Charlotte hasn't lodged a Boston-esque complaint against us seeking the return of Lord Byron to OKC. Apparently Presti didn't fully disclose how terrible of a basketball player he is.
