The Landisville-Mount Joy area is also becoming "lite-urban" friendly. Mount Joy in particular is very walkable, and has sidewalks to connect the large residential development going on east of town. Plenty of homegrown, local businesses. MJ has Hummer's, a farmers market on Saturday's, and a neat downtown strip. Landisville has Molly's coffee shop. We often stop there in the middle of a bike ride on cold winter afternoons.
High-quality homegrown arts and culture in Lancaster city. That's why the numbers of visitors from outside the county is on the rise. Love this community! @KenMueller
This forum is a wonderful way to spread the word about local, homegrown businesses in our area and encourages us to patronize them. The people who run local organizations are your family members or friends or next door neighbors. We are a strong and diverse business community. One example of local organizations supporting each other? Thanks to the Lancaster County Community Foundation, Pennsylvania College of Art & Design has been working collaboratively with the Fulton Theatre, Lancaster Symphony, Demuth Museum, Lancaster Museum of Art, LancasterARTS, and the Heritage Center. For the past two years, they've been engaged in a collaborative marketing campaign that targets audiences in the mid-Atlantic region and promotes Lancaster City as a premier arts destination. These homegrown cultural organizations -- and many others throughout the city -- make Lancaster city a premier arts destination for residents and visitors alike.
