I am NOT going to get in a contest with you over this issue. However, I'll take Jeff Long any day over what Tennessee has experienced with their AD these past few years.
"No fewer than 5 BCS schools" Ok. Let's leave it at 5 but probably more. So, only 20% of the AD's attempted to contact Babcock. Again, my point is still valid.
I believe that it was reported somewhere that in his letter to Jeff Long back in September, Coach B indicated his interest in coaching the Razorbacks. That being said, there is no loyalty anymore. Gus Malzahn said he was not going to be a "one and done" when he came to arkansas state. Butch jones at cincy to the Vols, how many more? How about barry alvarez saying that he had spoken to another coach within 5 minutes of Coach B telling him he was going to Arkansas. Barry alvarez didn't follow his protocol by talking with that coach without contacting that coach's AD then. It is a "dog eat dog" world out there. It appears college coaching is just part of it.
Oh Lord, help us. THAT is the best we can do? Just more fuel to the fire so that others can continue to make fun of us. "I am a Man" comments will never go away.
You guys are missing the obvious. Les and AD Jeff Long have known each other for 20 years. Jeff Long and Les Miles concocted this plan to get Les a pay raise and, at the same time, divert attention away from Arkansas and jeff long on the true target, chris petersen. The plan worked to perfection except that Jeff long wanted it to go on for a few more days.
Thank you! No one "needs" to see the documents. We all know the end result of Petrino's actions in regards to his deceit to his family and his employer. If at all possible, I would rather read about actual sports that are played on the field, the court, and the diamond. Thanks again for not seeking the lowest common denominator in life.
Your comments about Tim Horton as the interim coach and then finding the best, safest bet to keep the momentum going, are certainly the smart moves. But, can Jeff Long resist the pressure to make a hire right now? Garrick McGee will be a great HC someday, but is that day coming next week? Stay tuned!
I have attended many games at War Memorial over the years. Although the stadium is smaller(holds a little over 55,000), it is typically louder because of the bowl shape and additionally the field is well below outside ground level. I hope that they do upgrade the facilities and that 2 games remain in Little Rock for those fans that cannot/will not drive 5+ hours to Fayetteville for a game. That being said, the University Administration is committed to driving revenue and the games in Little Rock are currently costing the Razorbacks income with the fewer seats and increased travel expenses.

Sad, sick, many other adjectives come to mind. I know alabama fans. this was an aberration of the vast majority of them and I truly believe that they are embarrassed for the actions of a few. Let the justice system run its course and may ALL of us learn a lesson in compassion from this.

Although not everyone curses, many do. Petrino and the entire Razorback nation had a bad week that had little to do with the game. Garret Uekman passed away earlier that week and just maybe the emotions of the week(and the game) caused the outburst. I am not going to cast any stones against Petrino. CBS and ESPN did that already.
