took it to the House..... I read it as hosed the first time I saw it and thought, dang. Then I watched the video. It is at the 48 second point.
It seems like Gurly had another direct snap during the year that got about 8 yards and a first down. I hope we see a lot more of direct snaps to him or Marshal and definitely having them both in at that same time.
Can either of them throw well?
that transmission tower video is terrifying. It hurt my manhood watching it.
I sure am glad their are people willing to do that job because if it depended on people like me, it would never be done.
I signed it. I think the NCAA should also give him all 4 years of eligibility back. He went above and beyond to try to comply. They have shown hardheadedness, arrogance, and ignorance of the welfare of the student athletes.
It is a dilemma. Most schools don't want kids who don't want them, but releasing might be bad precedence. But, releasing shows a willingness to work with kids. Why can't the kids transfer if coaches can, but this might set off a bidding war to get kids to move.... wow, very tough. I would love to have Thomas. sighhhhh, I need the season to start.
Speaking of FSU, can that Thomas kid just transfer and not play a year? What are the rules?
I don't usually sign online petitions.... any more, but this one strikes a nerve. I signed it.
@RxDawg They should make an exception and give this young man 4 years of eligibility. The Doctor screwed up Kolton's life, but the NCAA aggravated the situation by not using good, common sense judgment. The treatment of this case by the NCAA is as stupid as suspending children for using fingers as toy guns.
There were some penalties and missed penalties (that joker that smacked Murray in the head) that could have flipped the championship last year. A good or great team can lose to a lesser team, if they make a penalty at the wrong time or place. It is best to be really good and really focused and disciplined.
I am proud of Mark Richt and UGA for standing with this young man. I believe most college teams would have sent him on his way.
Saban would have canned him.
We need some overbooking. Sell standing room only tickets and let them have any seat that hasn't been filled 5 minutes before show time.
Great Nuggets!
Thanks Greg, it would be great to have a thread like this ever so often throughout the summer. Also, if anyone digs up info on South Carolina and LSU. Those would be good threads, too.
I can't shake the thought of how sucky the National Championship would have been last year, if Ohio St. was eligible. Yeah, it would have been a more competitive game, but the best teams in the country would not have been playing.
I am interested to see how AJ McCarron does without those 2 1st round OL draft losses.
@GoDawgs90 on the radio 92.9 the game - they were asking what dream features we have. I wanted to call them with - seats under the field. Imagine, transparent grass chips, a one way (green) acrylic roof/field that the chips lay on, fans under the field with reclining seats being able to see the action within a few feet (tv screens or projections for when the play isn't directly overhead), the sound and thunder of the game. - that would be super cool
1). I would LOVE to visit the great wall. I wish we had one on the US/MEXICAN border.
2). Can we bump up the seats in our stadium? I hate being left behind.
3). That dude in the "no hands" picture is insane. WTW?
It loads a lot faster. Thanks EC!
@Jaynacw @RxDawg Who is the bigger fool? Hank or us? He is getting about 200,000 per year, travel, housing, health benefits and a fantastic retirement plan.
I sure hope Bobo comes up with several plays to get Gurley and Marshal on the field at the same time. It would be great to have them both out there together for 10 to 15 plays a game.
Could you imagine how hard that would be for a defensive coordinator to defend?
