Thats great. Just an FYI if you go to 10.8.3 there are new drivers for Nvidia cards that need to be installed or you will be in the boat again. Best of luck!

It's hard for me to tell, as I am not on 10.8.2. Maybe installation of Premier went bad. It just does not make sense that all the other programs function, and PP fails. That may be the place to start, since all your other applications function.

I am amazed you got it working with 10.8.2. There was some rumours of the card not playing well with 10.8.2. That error could mean anything. Was your OS upgrade a clean install or an upgrade? I find upgrade usually come with some driver issues.

@AntonioRuiRibeiro I am pretty sure it does. It currently works with my CS5 / and CS6. But you can always double check with Adobe supported cards for 5.5 .

@KevinCotton I am currently using the Cosair H90. It works well. You just need to make sure you have a place to mount it in your case, as the fan is 140mm

@KevinCotton no I did not. There was just enough room. I now switched to a water cooled fan. So there is even more room now.

@bkmvincent it is weird that it does not line up. X79 should run a little cooler too ? Loosing Thunderbolt is not that big of a deal as USB 3.0 is pretty much everywhere now. I just wanted Thunderbolt, as I got spoiled working with it already.
@bkmvincent @Tej Babra I agree with you. It's not really a tool-less case. Installing the graphics card support bracket was bit difficult. But then again my MacPro is not tool-less either. I have not had any issues with my drives aligning up. You may have one that was built on a Friday. ;) I really do like this case.

The Corsair Obsidian was my original choice, however I could not pass up the sale price on the HAFX, it was nearly half the price of the Corsair on my day of purchase. I like how the HAFX has 2 hot swappable bays, directly in front of the machine, making it super easy to swap out drives. Not as convent as the Corsair, but still effecitive.
I have also run OSX on it, but on a old mechanical drive I had sitting around. I plan on grabbing another SSD soon.
Opps I forgot to mention the ram... 32GB G.Skill Trident X.
@Richard Brady that is very strange. Considering Windows 8 is built on Windows 7. GoPros record onto QuickTime H.264. Do you have QuickTime installed on your PC ?

@CormacFarrell on my stock GTX570 there are 2 sockets for the 6pins. they both have to be plugged into the motherboard to gain enough power. If you have separate PSU, then that's good too. But both plugs have to be plugged into a psu to get the correct voltage.

@CormacFarrell No. I had the 6pin to mini 6pin. As mine is a 3.1 MacPro Tower. So the physical ports themselves are 6pin only, with no adapters. I just used the cable shown in the article above.

@JmacHS you can run your display off the GT120, as long as you have the available slots. I am running one of my displays of my ATI card. Leaving all the heavy cuda lifting to my 570
