I couldn't agree with you more on this one. The league could've dealt with a lot of this stuff during the lockout. These trades and amnesty cuts look less like the free for all that we saw after the NFL's most recent lockout and more like a disorganized sports cartel. Cutting a player via this amnesty provision looks absurd after owners spent six months whining about all the money they're losing. Here's how you stop losing money, stop putting in place mechanisms that allow you to pay a player 14million dollars to play for another team. I will never understand why the NBA can not borrow an idea from the NFL and allow players to rework contracts.
