I was at the Jazz game and I must say, I saw the future. We are a few decent pieces away from being a really good team again. Obviously we need a replacement for a big man. But our offense looked great on Saturday. The ball moves better without Dwight and player play more relaxed without Dwight. I love Dwight. And, I am no ignoring the obvious defensive issues we are having. We need a decent big, a small forward, and a bench and we would be the east side version of the Nuggets.
People forget that Magic Johnson forced a coach out as well. Nobody talks about that at all anymore. The man personally removed another from the organization and nobody dawgs him for it. If this whole story is true about Dwight and Stan, then our season is already in the shitter.
Yeah, unfortunately it is true that Dwight has been taking some plays off defensively. I do not doubt that the schedule has something to do with it. However, it probably isn't the only reason.
erivera7CarloSimone I agree. It's scary. We really need a new point guard and shooting guard pronto.
When he is in facilitating mode, being aggressive and looking to score, our offense works great. When he is lazy and not interested, like right now, we are terrible. Trading block.
The problem I have with him is that he isn't even trying. He is just floating along.
SouthSydeEntjeffshannonhouseDannyNowell I am truly the mindset that we keep Dwight, ride this thing out. If we trade him, we might get draft picks, but you are also filling the cap room right back up. I don't trust Otis either. But, as stated previously, we could be a terrible team with cap room, or a terrible team with no cap room. We are not the New Orleans Hornets, but we are also not the Lakers. We can, and have, attracted young, great free agents in the past. If you trade Dwight, you rarely - as thats overstating it - get the value back that you trade away. And yeah, I would try to move some guys on our team to get more athletic. No, don't blow it up yet. But come on, let's move someone to create an atmosphere that Dwight wants to stay in. Also, does anybody really want Bynum or Lopez?
erivera7Voecklen Ya know, it is funny how we are talking about Love right now though. I was watching the Wolves the other night and thinking about how he fits perfectly into our scheme. Alas, why would the Wolves ever trade him unless they got Dwight?
Voecklen Am I excited by what I see, yes? But really, we just beat Charlotte, Washington, Toronto and also lost to the Pistons. So am I sold, no? I think the Bulls are better than last year, but they are still missing pieces. I still think they take #2. But man, Dwight, Anderson, and J.J. are playing out of their absolute minds.
erivera7 Why?
slammanEricFarrell That sounds good, but typically the Magic clear the paint when Dwight gets it inside. I love the idea of getting Iggy. It is a great upgrade to Pietrus. Better offense and defense. I think it would be huge, but who knows what will come. I don't want Ellis or Smith. Ya know how frustrated you get when Westbrook doesn't get Durant the ball? That would be the same frustration with Ellis and Howard. We would all be yelling at the TV for Ellis to fee the post and stop putting it up.
