@christopher_m Why would you put your stupidity in e-mail? Come on Billy
Under "STRENGTHS", DX forgot to include "SWAG"
@jakesnake99 Normally I'd like them to close out, but the way this series has gone, Miami probably wins by 50 Tuesday
@AK1984 Me and BFS1970 have a great internet beef. I think it started when I thought he unfairly tried to twist an opinion of mine beyond what I thought was any logical point, and it went downhill from there. It's like Maggie Simpson and the unibrow baby, everyone needs a nemisis
@AK1984 To me, it's a fun, harmless joke - particularly since Babs and Nolan ended up fucking terrible and we passed a player that 75% of the fanbase loved in Faried. Don't think anybody truly takes it seriously, but I could be wronf
@Norsktroll @AK1984 @blazeraddict Yes, sounds like the LA/LA s&t is contingent on that first piece happening, although I hadn't heard Pierce being part of the deal. Rumblings are Ainge wants Bledsoe included and has been pretty firm on that
@Norsktroll @blazeraddict I think part of my willingness to do that deal from the Lakers perspective is my belief that the "old" Dwight is gone - without the elite athleticism he had in his Orlando heyday, he's still good, but not a guy who can be the anchor of a championship squad, imo
If I'm the Lakers, I'm all over a Dwight-Blake/Bledsoe s&t. If you're playing D'Antoni ball, Blake does a lot of the same things prime Amare could, good natural fit. Plus, for the Lakers, it gives them a post Kobe marquee guy to build/market around. Griffin has holes in his game, but I don't think the Lakers can build a contender around Dwight given the cap mess they're in. May as well get a guy a little younger/relatively healthier who can keep the building full while you figure out what to bring in around him.
20/20 hindsight, but how much better off would Cleveland be if they had gone Drummond over Waiters last year? They could evaluate McLemore and Oladipo for the #1, a Kyrie/Drummond/(McLemore or Oladipo) core would be legit.
@jakesnake99 In Casey's defense, the way that park in Omaha has played runs could be at a premium. Still don't like the move, but I understand it
Kimye is in labor, prepare for rapture it's the end of days
@jakesnake99 A friend of mine from work has gone the last two years, says it's one of the best atmospheres in sports
@ian21 @blazeraddict @Norsktroll There's rumors on the whole Jamaican track program, during the Olympics there was a lot of noise
@Norsktroll She's relatively older (30s) for an elite sprinter, right? I'd heard rumblings that a lot of people thought her performances were suspect for that reason (none of the age drop off you'd expect). As long as Blake and Bolt are clean, I'm good with track, those two getting busted would depress me
@annlyn @ian21 @skywaker9 (David) flagged as job based discrimination :)
@annlyn @ian21 @skywaker9 (David) Disagree. I think Simmons is trying to work semi-blue and be all "yuck, a needle to your dick, agh!"
Think anyone inferring Simmons attempt at a clean dick joke (lame as all hell, btw) as an HIV/AIDS joke is making a ridiculous stretch.
@annlyn @southern oregon @AK1984 Yeah. But there is a visceral reaction, for me at least, of the government having access to and having the ability to screw with me based on whatever criteria they have, like Dan said. Facebook/Google/Twitter/Amazon, etc, I figure I'm giving them the information I choose to share by willingly signing on. And given the shitshow modern politics is, I would not put it past either party in control to use that information to, say, destroy a business that donates heavily to the "wrong" team
@annlyn I don't think it was a surprise to anyone that the government/NSA have the technology to do this type of surveillance. What is scary as hell, imo, is that EVERYONE is subject to it, no probable cause, no warrant (even in some sealed military proceeding), so the view I have of it is either we are all suspects or the government wants to be "prepared" in the event they decide we're suspects. Not a very comforting thought.
@AK1984 @blazeraddict Crawford really shouldn't be calling Spurs games after all the petty shit he's engaged in with that team. From the NBA's perspective, I just don't get it - there are enough officials of the same or better caliber without the baggage you could have in that slot tonight.
