OKC could not have selected a better ownership group. We are very fortunate to have them. This group of owners should make some money, but, they appear to be willing to minimize their small profit margins to keep a competitive team. The fans also deserve a great deal of praise for supporting this team with buying tickets and merchandise. I hoope that when the team asks for a slight increase in ticket prices we will not revolt. We have a great team, great ownership that both give back to the community and do and will deserve our
OKC clearly falls to second or third in the Western conference at best. Our small market will ALWAYS cost us when the Lakers or other large markets WANT to win a championship. The hold what you got strategy can only work if every other team does the same
Cole Aldrich, luv ya man, but you looked absolutely lost. I hope we can keep you past this year
As usual, great analysis and read!!
You people need to get a reality check. The Thunder are not rebounding in this series. Even of they were to miraculously win game 5, this team has been deflated by its own poor play. OKC cannot win because they cannot stop Lebraon or Wade or Bosh or who ever is playing for the Heat (take your pick, Battier, Chalmers, ???).This is a jump shooting team with NO inside threat to score. Maybe in the future but not now. Accept it.
I was not impressed with Harden at all during this game. He did not look nor play like a max player. I am beginning to believe he needs other great players around him to distract the defense and allow him to do his thing. He looked very average last night. I think this series is OVER, but the Thunder should learn from this. Youth in my opinion did/does hurt OKC and will contribute to a finals series loss this year. Dues must be paid and Miami has paid theirs so let the big dog eat
To be fair, the calls against the Thunder were horrendous, and the leeway LJ was given to bushrush his way to the basket was ridiculous, but this series is over for the Thunder not even because of those things. This team will lose the overall series because of inconsistent play, and boneheaded plays at one time or another by all of its big 3-4 take your pick. Poor passing, inability to catch a pass inside, ill advised drives into the lane, throwing up prayer shots, really stupid fouls when already beaten to name a few. For certain all of these things can and do happen to teams at one time or another but the Thunder have cornered the market . Granted, I am not playing, I am a couch critic, but, these are "Pros". Why would OKC not pass the ball out to the top of the key on the last shot to KD to allow him to create his own shot? either a drive or pull up 2 or 3? that has been our Bread and Butter during close wins not inside with the trees. Well, my rant is over so now I can move on to next year because this NBA championship is toast
It would in my opinion be a big mistake for us to take the Heat for granted in this series. They are a VERY GOOD team with capable players. We got the first one but Miami will not give this series away. I do beliver LJ will have at least one or two breakout games in this series and if he can get DW and CB to come along, then all bets are off.
Great game! win game 4 and OKC can win this series.
Thunderman, not an ESPN commentator but, we lost the game because the Thunder failed to play like a championship caliber team, but rather like a bunch of school yard guys playing pickup and calling their own fouls as a bailout for poor passing, shooting or overall play.
OKC is certainly not ready for all star weekend, too slow, too boring. too small, too conservative, too many reasons to count. OKC is far behind even conservative places like Indianapolis or Sacramento or ugh! Salt Lake City. Still serve 3.2 beer, DT is just developing and does close at 11am. No real hip hop or R&B station(s), just beginning to get fine dining options in DT and the DT area is still for the most part, OLD, Abandoned and disjointed. Just the Facts.
It was a block, period
I was at this game. OKC looked uninterested from the start, If ever there was a game I would say was a give away this was it. Don't be mislead by the box score for KD or RW, OKC played this game without energy, sloppily, miscues abounded. I'll say KD gave one for the home town.
