@TrueBlue87 @Platinum @MarcusDugan @zgs1288 Can't keep using that youth excuse. With most RB's, you can tell right off the bat what you've got. There's no fountain of youth waiting down the road unfortunately. As long as he's a Colt, i'll wish for the best from him but literally every competition he's had at the position in Indy has been markedly better than him.

@MarcusDugan @zgs1288 Richardson looked better but still gotta say the difference between him and Bradshaw was crystal clear. I can't see TRich lasting past this season in Indy if he doesn't develop some decent speed this year.
In other words, I think he's toast.
*best wishes to him.
@Stig4 You can't go thorugh selling a LOT of players and expecting success, there has to be some continuity, they need to get rid of as few players as possible.
Anderson is gone, sell Nani, Vidic is gone, I'd keep most of the rest. Those guys won Fergie trophy after trophy, they're not terrible players.

@Stig4 Good points. Decent isn't good enough though. That group is going to prove a little too hard for England.

They came close, if Mkhitaryan finishes like he usually does, they'd have blown Real out.

@MarcusDugan When they have sessions midweek, don't the coaches watch the guys who're not starters? How is the YAC shown by Rogers a surprise? Or is it that what we have is a bunch of guys who are crap in training but turn up when the lights come on?
9 months, 1 week ago on Too Little, Too Late: Colts Fall to Bengals 42-28
@rogcohen @Platinum I need to calm down but losing so comprehensively smacks of something big.
Luck was getting killed last year, so protect him but don't take the ball out of his hand, he's the only chance you have of winning! He's getting beat up more this year and it's affecting his play so where exactly have we gotten better?
We're 23rd in rush attempts? Well we've been behind like 500 pts in the each of last 4 games, no surprise there...
9 months, 3 weeks ago on WEEK 12 REPORT CARD: COLTS AT CARDINALS
@rogcohen @Platinum I don't know the exact numbers but seems like the guy's getting smacked more this year...I'd be inaccurate and skittish too if my bloody O-line was a sieve.
It's a disservice to the kid...can he release the ball quicker and make better decisions? Damn right. But when you're throwing to WRs who can't get open for $hit, you're bound to hold on a bit longer.
The coaches are paid boku bucks to do something. Pagano needs to roll his damn sleeves up and put the big boy pants on, man up and admit, "I made a stupid error thinking I could take it 'old school', from here on out, i'l build on what Arians started and go from there."
You talk all this talk of running the ball yet everything about the run game says BUST....from that dancing bear TRich being outshone by DBrown and Herron to not being able to run in 3rd and 1 situations...If this highly acclaimed philosophy isnt working then what's left???
Luck has issues but the issues he has are a function of the situation he's been put in. This is annoying to the point of distraction.
Jim IRSAY, I know it's your money and your ball club but if you guys fuck this up because you think star wars numbers were what led to less rings with 18, or whatever, be rest assured, Indy will NOT forgive you. And don't tell me we're 7-4, that's horseshit, we're a flawed 7-4. KC was 9-0, doesnt mean they were not a dogdoo club.
Pah i'm mad.
The Cards put up 40 and still had a blocked FG LOL...Indy is a joke right now. The team is unprepared week after week...Subpar talent getting shown up by superior teams but the coaching isn't helping any...
As far as the talent level goes, you (i.e. Irsay, Grigson, etc) can't keep mortgaging the team's future on average guys like Vontae and TRich because you're in a win-now mode, there are too many needs and holes to be that way.
Secondly, this flawed philosophy of run and stop the run will get this club in a hole, you've the best young QB in football, throw the fucking ball and build with that in mind. Give him a stud defense and ST but drop the indecent and stupid idea of running to show toughness or whatever that garbage is...it's patent B.S.
On the Havili score....don't you think that gives the opposing D coordinator something extra (and unnecessary) to worry about? Now they know that is a weapon that isn't just there sitting, they know it can bite.

This should be fun.
I'm not sure Irsay's comments were an indictment of Peyton though...and he clarified that, why the continued punching of the owner?
As far as the game goes, we can't get into a Dallas-like shootout with them, we don't have enough bullets in our chamber BUT I can see a game where last one with the ball wins... Jacksonville did some interesting things despite getting blown out, maybe we can build on that...Love Peyton and support him every week but I'm on the Luck train 100%, #12 WILL stand up and fight, lets hope the coaches let him.
Loved the article, loved point #18.

@Candlebox Don't forget though, this team can play in different ways depending on the opponent. We know they can pass if need be...I'm not mad at being able to attack defenses in a host of ways i.e. attacking the weak points.

@Bobman1 @AJ_ @MarcusDugan I didn't watch the Philly game fully though it was on here...but I know Freeney was brilliant against the Texans...considering a lack of any discernible passrush is what's plaguing this team right now...it's safe to say, it was a bad move bringing in Walden for Free (yes two games in)
1 year ago on Colts Fall Short Against Miami, 24-20
@BrianKlass What was ridiculous about the offensive playcalling?
I don't share the enthusiasm about the 9ers game....maybe if they hadn't just taken one big stiffy up the rear....but they did and they'll be looking to do similar to the next opponent i.e the Colts. Forget that game and move onto the next one. If we come out unscathed, I'll be in church sunday and at the mosque friday...
I'm not going to lie, I'm more than a little worried about what a really good QB will do to our D.
i.e. You're worried what #18 will do to this cheesecake defense :P

Non-starter. It was the man's last hurrah at home, they won...if he wanted to take a dump on the field, let him. What is classy and what isn't? It wasn't like he was mocking the Colts...like Lewis said later, Reggie must have made the comment in the heat of anger at losing...it's no biggie...at all. If anything, one could say Reggie was whining actually.

@DougEngland I think both got hurt at crucial points in their development. They were both looking like they were finally turning the corner in the Pagano defense and BOOM, they were done for the year...hard to judge those guys accurately IMHO...especially Nevis who we know has an engine on him.
1 year, 8 months ago on 2012 Defense: Year In Review
@DougEngland Not at all...maybe even helped! Clyde was calling a good game. The way Baltimore kept throwing bodies at Luck, Arians's slow-developing plays might have got #12 killed. Not much diff. to me. Clyde may actually have called a better game...
