@Legendary_Dork As a Portland/Steven Adams fan, gotta say that Kanter did all of his damage against Lopez and Meyers Leonard (who can't play D to save himself). LA certainly would've done better.

@GREENE1148 @TiMB That's perfect, invite sent. I'll leave the team name up to you.
Like I said above, looking to do the draft 9pm on Sunday the 27th. I think that's 7pm Aussie time (unless you're out west). Can't set it atm cos ESPN doesn't think about other timezones and has no options between 1.45 and 7am : /. Hoping they can fix it for us, otherwise might have to reschedule.
Good to have you in the loop anyway man. Good luck.
9 months, 1 week ago on Thunder vs. Jazz: Three things to care about
@GREENE1148 @TiMB Yeah mate. Just need a name and an email and I'll send out an invite.
@long arm of the law @TiMB The 3am Sunday draft your time might be a disincentive...
Those who are from Kiwiland - any interest in a NZ/Aussie fantasy league? I've got one spot free in one I've set up. Let me know if you're interested.
@Turfright @Tronchaser Guilty
@christopher_m @TiMB Yeah, we have a lot of wide player who like to play centrally. Kinda nice to have someone like Gibbs who does well roaming the entire length of the pitch. Sagna, as much as I like him, doesn't do much offensively on the right. That'd be one of the positions I'd target in Jan.

@AK1984 @annlyn @Norsktroll That's a sad way to live, IMO. Rather trust and be burned than never trust at all.
@jakesnake99 It's really hard to peg, but they're the ones with the talent and a manager who seems to be pulling in the right direction. Chelsea have a manager who is supposed to be great but so long as he puts his ego in front of getting results, I think they'll fail.
I think Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs and pseudo-contenders...each are still a step or two away from really taking a shot at it I think. Wouldn't be surprised if Man U clamber back into it before January, although it would be nice if they don't.
@jakesnake99 I'm sceptical that Oracle have gone from being way behind to faster without having done something less than ethical.
@christopher_m Or not.....
Wenger on Walcott: 'He had an abdominal muscle problem'
@christopher_m He was.
@christopher_m Yeah, midfield play for all our depth has been shaky possession wise - It's a weakness of Jack and Rambo (even in this awesome vein of form), Flamini is a pretty uncreative passer while Ozil is on the other end of the spectrum, losing possession when his attempted killer passes don't come off. I'm just looking forward to when Arteta and Cazorla come back to replace Flamini and Wilshere. Flamini will provide great energy and depth but he was never supposed to be a first team regular. Wilshere still has those amazing flashes but overall I can't seem him retaining a spot over either of the Spaniards when he's weak as a distributor and pretty reckless defensively.
Theo was just out with illness from what I've heard - good old fashioned stomach bug.
I have Sagna and Mertesacker in my fantasy team too. Stoked.
3 assists for Ozil
@christopher_m Gnabry has looked pretty ugly in a surprise start. Hopefully he's better in the 2nd half.
@christopher_m Assists off free kicks seem bunk to me. His corners are niiiiiiiice though. Mertesacker almost had two.
@christopher_m @TiMB Missed this earlier but yuuuuuuuup. Overmars, Campbell, Petit, Pires all fit that mould. Henry might've been more of a question mark but he was an undoubted talent. What Wenger is doing now with the British core if unprecedented for him.
He's moved nicely with where the depth of talent is - moving from France to Spain and Germany for his continental signings (not that he'll ever be without a decent French presence). Saw yesterday that he's the only manager who's been in charge longer than 3 years now that Fergie has retired. There is a reason for that.
@southern oregon Cue Brandon saying he was just waiting for you to get back before launching it....
@christopher_m @TiMB WTF?! It was a fun period, without a real dominant figure like Messi is now.
My plan for this evening - Arsenal-Marseille replay, first hour of the Singapore GP then Stoke at the Emirates live. Fuggin sports-tastic.
@christopher_m I think Henry was the best player in the world along with Zidane in that 2000-2005 period. Don't know if Berkamp ever scales those kinda heights, even though he was awesome.
@christopher_m @TiMB Chuba is an awesome name. I'm kinda pulling for him to be the new Ian Wright, seeing as Wrighty was my favourite player as a kid. Yaya has some serious tools though if he can stop getting hurt.
Think I'm pulling for us to sign Damiao in January so we can avoid having to rely on either (or Bendtner.....) in the meantime.
@christopher_m Good ones. I have such an affection for those 90s sides that I tend to be biased towards them. If you were making an all time XI, you'd definitely have to include some from a few decades back.
Another thing I'm interested in your take on - more likely first team/starting striker in the future, Yaya Sanogo or Chuba Akpom?
@christopher_m Being the other Arsenal fan here, who do you feel deserves the title of best player ever to don the jersey? I'm in the Henry camp but seems like a lot of people are coming out saying Berkamp is it, given all the discussion of him Ozil has re-invigorated. Any other contenders?
@jakesnake99 That's cool. Unfortunate that the lack of lobs seems permenant, but I guess a lot of that came from Dre and Camby being exceptional lob passers for their position. I think with the post stuff, it was down to the huge number of mid range shots he took early in the season - once perception among fans is that you're just shooting from outside, it's tough to change. Would guess he knows that...must be a frustrating part of the job having fans not get what's going on and reaction based on false/premature conclusions.
As for the defense....they can focus all they want but if they do it without having brought in any additional defensive coaching acumen, I'll be surprised.
@jakesnake99 Sounds like he was pretty candid. Just a little jealous. Was he a decent dude?
@jakesnake99 I'd feel bad if I had a hand in drafting Randy Foye with a lotto pick too.
@BrianGB @christopher_m So weird seeing this after how hyped it was just a couple seasons back.
@BrianGB @TiMB I'm thinking I might actually buy her CD. Would be the first in a loooooooong time for me.

@AK1984 @TiMB I really like the 'Tennis Court' one too. She could be a good un.
What do people here think of Lorde? How many of you know who that is? She's kinda the biggest thing in NZ pop culture atm. Quite talented.
@christopher_m Yeah, felt like a matter of time with Theo but that was a really well taken goal. Hopefully it spurs him on. Ramsey has just been nuts this season...hard to have seen this coming. Dortmund losing feels like a good result too....but either of those teams are a threat so maybe a draw would've been nicer.
@BrianGB @TiMB : (
Arsenal!! Also haha Chelsea
@skywaker9 (David) @TiMB @BrianGB Not so much for me
Just read my first Dave thing in awhile. Shouldn't've. Center is a bigger need than shooting guard?
@BrianGB @TiMB PS4 soon! Save up ye clams!
@BrianGB @TiMB I haven't been able to watch Dexter since moving....need to crimez it I think.
@BrianGB @TiMB Bugger. Some of them start at 3 in the morning here, which is probably still a step too far even for me. It's kinda like American football, I have to hope for early or late games. Afternoon ones are toast.
@ian21 @TiMB Yeah, I commuted with my old mountain bike on and off last year and it was less than idea. hydraulic disk brakes for safety and an internal hub to keep maintenance down sounds pretty ideal to me.
@ian21 @TiMB Getting, at least. They had to get one down from the north island in giant size. Picking it up on Monday and then it's gonna be my commuting machine. Got high quality lights and some other stuff seeing as I finish late most shifts. Really looking forward to it, tbh.
@BrianGB @TiMB I can imagine it goes down a pretty dark path....getting worried about just how dark given the snippets I'm getting from people on twitter and here. Nothing spoiled for me yet, which is nice.
@jerod @Dan_tm Mesmerizing
@ian21 I tended to get bored with them too, but IV was a really engaging story (even if it was a bit discordant at times and then got blown out of the water by RDR) and it sounds like this is a step up from that. Plus, the world is big enough that screwing around could take enough time to justify me buying it. I'm not in a rush for it though, probably rent it before I commit.
The new Final Fantasy OTOH, that I'm psyched for.
@ian21 My new bike don't need none of that derailleur crap : P
(I think it still has cables, I just wanted to try being elitist on for size)
My Arsenal fandom is officially re-ignited to childhood levels. Getting up at 6am to watch the CL game tomorrow morning and definitely gonna stay up until 3 or so to watch the Stoke game. Stoke FFS.
Wonder if I can sustain EPL and NBA obsessions all at once.
@BrianGB I've got about 2 seasons of catch up to do. Thinking about starting from scratch with Jess (she's only seen season 1) and binging it.
We spent most of the past two days (she was sick, my two days off) binging Archer from season 2 through the start of season 4 and it was awesome.
@christopher_m Well that's an awesome thing to say...
