Oladipo feels like this year's Lillard for us - just the guy it makes all kinds of sense to draft - except this time we're not in position to get him. It's annoying.
Seriously, the stuff ziggythebeagle is putting on BE is fascinating. No clue what his system is but he's spitting out all kinds of numbers. Analysis is pretty intelligent too.
@blazeraddict @TiMB @Dan_tm @Adams Apple of my Eye Yuuuuuup. Oladipo and Adams (excuse the bias) are the two prospects I really think fit this team from a talent, need and personality standpoint.
Oladipo can come in and hit the ground running, while Adams can take a bit of time before becoming our defensive backstop. Lillard/Oladipo/Batum/LA/Adams (and nothing else because we'd have to give up all our assets to get both).
@Dan_tm @TiMB @Adams Apple of my Eye Yeah, there is a bit of that in there. You seen any of his defensive highlights? He's a bulldog like prime Artest was, too.
@Dan_tm @TiMB He became a top 5 wing defender while putting up 18/8/4. He kinda did a Batum offensively, starting really strong then fading to 42/36/81 splits but certainly seems to have the capabilities to be a 45/40/80 guy while putting up over 20 a game. Throw in his defense and that puts him above guys like Harden and Kyrie right now, to me. Obviously he has to do it before you can say that but he's right on the precipice.

@Dan_tm @TiMB I wouldn't give CJ a check mark on the intelligence portion. He wasn't really very good in college either.
To me Paul George still has to take a leap on offense to be a true superstar but if he does, Pacers-Heat could be a thing for awhile.
@dj idoltime @TiMB Yeah, I only ask because that is basically how I sold myself on Oladipo. Put those three characteristics together in a guy who has produced and I think you have a good bet.

How many smart, super athletic players who play hard fail in the NBA? Many examples you guys can think of?
@blazeraddict I like George a bunch but that seriously underrates Hibbert and Bosh. Obviously Wade would be there too if he wasn't hobbled.....that injury has quietly made the Heat from overwhelming favourites into merely strong ones.
@Dario Argento @TiMB If they insist on that sorta thing, you just let it go. Can't give up the pick and the capspace just to get one guy. We need to fill that center hole too badly.
