Oh yea, Flip the GM (or President or whatever he hell he is today - Milt newton don't do shit) might just be ok. But how in the hell could Glen Failure know this? The man has never run a team before, nor did Glen Failure conduct a lengthy interview process in order to learn his (or other candidates') plan to run this team. God I cannot stand this ownership.

My man...going to work as always. Just read this. It is well written and informative!

Flip lovers are simply delusional. I don't have the desire to write a lengthy essay on how much of a run of the mill sack of mediocrity Flip is as a coach. Nothing about him has ever suggested he is a great basketball mind nor that he can adapt to the times. He is only a guy who has been around hoops his entire life and is not terrible (see Lowe, Sidney).

That's not the real problem though. The end of your essay should have been the bulk of it. Glen Failure. This is a travesty of an owner, a man who can't possibly have run his other businesses like he has run this piece of shit franchise. His idea of going HAM as an owner is to randomly open his wallet to players KG liked and then do so again for players Flip likes. All the while his general disposition is some allusion of franchise building that includes frugality and the complete absence of creativity, innovation, and planning. I doubt Taylor even follows basketball. There is a 5% chance he even understands something as simple as team chemistry's contribution to performance.

I have to stop. What a f ucking as$hole.

Great preview! Another of those three's was a Corey Brewer half court shot at the end of a quarter. So they shot even one less than it seems. That will be a problem.

However, one game is clearly too much to go off of and many of those mid range and inside shots came in transition or sloppy play (how many fast break points where there? They ran a lot). As they tighten up their offense it may get better or worse, who knows.

So many new players, I think we need an elimination game this year.

The idea of Brewer, Thad and Rubio gambling too much is a function of coaching. Sure, some players gamble a lot, but Adelman did not hold anyone accountable. I doubt this is a major issue with Brewer this year.

Also, brewer will be in the sign and trade package for Gasol next year.

Gasol is getting better and they've added some good pieces, got a quality piece back (Pondexter) and shoved a useless piece to the bench (Prince). No way Memphis isn't a force in the west again.

As far as this game, it might not even be close. But since it is the NBA any number of Wolves players could get hot to win a game and it is the beginning of the year so maybe Z-Bo and others are as rusty and out of shape as Pek is.

#1) No Wolves fan still likes Shved except me.

#2) Shved was an actual real life good player in a professional league. Avril LaVine isn't good period.

Bill Duffy is BLACK!? Sorry, anyway, good analysis WW. I am excited to watch Love, Bogut, Iggy, Martin, and Curry.  Depending on the bench that team can challenge for the crown.

This is awesome, really good job. In Flip's offense Dieng should do fine, as should Pek. That three man rotation (Love 38 minutes - Pek 28 minutes - Dieng - 30 minutes) should be one of the best in the league, just behind Atlanta (Pero Antic 48 minutes against both opposing big men). That is the only optimism I have. Nothing else excites me. Maybe looking forward to Rubio's improvements?

Yea, The Wolves defense wasn't anything special but it wasn't terrible. It's all those things that happen down the stretch of close games that matter. Oh, and a terrible bench.

I don't know if Shved will keep it up or not. Flip should gamble on it and send off Barea packaged with Brewer for someone like Jeff Green. Yes, I understand this is the definition of a panic trade. I am panicking...

Well reasoned thoughts...You win.

I'm going to start following Houston or another team with a real GM and owner. The Wolves will just be like my cognitively challenged little friend I pat on the head, cheer on when he's throwing ice cubes at the sun to cool down, and expect absolutely nothing good from. ever.

@CollegeWolf Wow, after reading through this list again, the article is really balanced. There are MAYBE two semi-lopsided trades in the whole list. Good, good job.

In a list of trades that "should" happen, some writer (I can't remember where I just read this and don't feel like looking it up) suggests a Josh Smith and Zaza for Pek, Wiliams, and Roy. IF, IF, IF you know the Wolves won't resign Pek, this is a good starting point. I think it creates an awfully unbalanced roster with Love, Smith, and AK but one that is awfully physical and good defensively with Rubio on the floor as well (and Malcolm Lee, the 2013-2014 MVP of the league). All that said, I don't seriously like the trade, I just think it's realistic. No trade with Pek in it, no matter how lopsided either way, is going to sit well with me. But anytime you can add Zaza you gotta do it!

How does Utah and Milsap seem to always destroy Love, aka "Greatness"? I hope I don't get a Utah feed so I don't have to hear it about how much better than Greatness the Utah big men are from that assclown Matt Harpring.

Wolves win if Greatness plays similar to how he did against Phoenix.

Transition defense. Pek sprints to the corner because Love is in the paint with him yet Love wanders in no man's land while a magic player walks behind him for an open dunk.

Now Davis and Love are going at it like Love didn't destroy him in the first half. Ha. good luck baby.

the last defensive possession is exactly what I'm talking about with Love. While HAM is recovering from the PnR, a serious defender is yelling to him to recover to his right (or some directional instruction) while he sprints back to his man. Instead, he just floated in space guarding neither big man while his man snuck up for the tip-in bucket.

The Magic better put someone in to check Pekovic. If he finishes his layups, they are in trouble. He is destroying them.

The Wolves don't need Rubio to beat Miami. Kevin Love will get his game back tonight and have a career game against Boshina and Haslem.

Good luck Orlando, the lion is uncaged tonight, displaying how great of a fit he will be when he's traded for Afflalo.

Dear Kevin Love,

Until you fix what is broken (believe me my dude, it is broken. It looks terrible. From 3, from the free throws, everything), please stop taking long shots. Your mid-range looks better. Shoot that. and go to the bucket.
