She is an amazing athlete. and at 20 she is definitely showing more promise than any woman near her age group.
Hope she gets more better and consistent. Her words come across as wiser beyond her age.
I know i was really stupid and immature at 20. So I have utmost respect for this young lady. Go Genie!!

@RogerKing4Ever Sounds like a male Samantha Stosur to me

And looks like Nole will defend his London title.
It'll be a great WTF

@Carol35 @Silver Shadow seriously?
but after reading all the comments I feel he got more money at Basel and less love at Valencia(ferrer's hometown)
1 month ago on Conversation @ http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/10/week-preview-gentlemen-restart-your-engines/53077/
I had one question, why Rafa the Spaniard is playing in Basel instead of Valencia?
@charlene @Silver Shadow I dont think my prediction is wrong yet, I said Ana or Simona will lose all their matches. Simona won her first but Ana did lose hers.
Anyways, by the look of these 2 matches i think Genie will be the one losing all her matches.
1 month ago on Conversation @ http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/10/ringing-singapore/53064/
@BlagaLucian @Silver Shadow yea, it'll be either Simona or Ana from Red group who'll lose all their matches, totally depends on which Ana shows up.
Simona according to me has always been a mediocre player. Just remember how people were all gaga over her few months back.
She hasnt beaten any of the Big 3 players Vika, Serena and Maria, even though Maria was vulnerable in those clay court outings and in Cincinati. Ana was able to take advantage of that and beat Maria in Rome.
But i hope all of them will be healthy and give their best here and make a bold statement for 2015.

I think Aggie and Ana/Simona will lose all their ROund Robin matches.
In Red group I see Serena and Genie advancing(health permitting)
In white group I see Maria and Petra advancing(Caro could be close)
If maria-Serena avoid a semis match then it will be Maria Vs Serena in the finals with Serena winning her 4th YEC
@lolwhat @Rafessi Bouchard just reached a Premier final at Wuhan...
It's not an assessment, it's an observation
1 month, 1 week ago on Conversation @ http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/10/wta-finals-preview-eugenie-bouchard/52990/
Petra will reach semis for sure. After that it's all luck. She won't beat Serena if they meet at semis or finals. And if she were to meet Maria then it's 50-50.
I wonder who'll reach semis? Serena, Maria and Petra for sure, if they are all healthy. I wonder who'll be the fourth one.
There is one more surprising thing. Maria is the only major champion this year to have beat a top 10 player on her to way to the championship. She beat Simona Halep.
Petra, Na and Serena went on to win the title without meeting a top 10 player.
I think Samantha is jealous of Maria coz of all the majors that she has won with an "inferior" game; whereas caro has never managed to win one.

We'll in that case, let's make Alize cornet no.1:)
I can't imagine how they play through so much pain. I'm not a nadal fan, but I wish he gets operated and recovers well for next year

Unlike caro, dinara or jelena, Maria won a major this year. She also reached 2nd week of all the majors and won 2 of 4 premier mandatory tournaments.
@gaddy30 ATP is much smarter than WTA.

@taiping11 @22Nana @Genetica97 and how many players from Asia are in top 100 compared to NA and Europe?
@tennisman and with Li Na gone, lets see how long do these tournaments last there
What's next? 100-112?
Can someone please tell Ana that she has qualified for YEC. she is playing with an injury. Not a smart move

@Carol35 Indian doctors are really good. thanks to a billion population and the weather(which helps different kind of virus'). Indian doctors must have seen everything in the world possible and treated them as well
If I'm not wrong, Maria and Genie were the only two women, who reached at least the 4th round of all the majors this year.
Maria won 2 out of 4 premier mandatory events.
and surprisingly, she won Madrid, FO and Beijing, where the defending champion was Serena Williams. Lets see if Serena chooses to defend Singapore or not. If not, then Maria would have a good chance of winning it.

@AM Down Under @Doctor Ivo! I think, Maria does well on indoor courts. No wind means, her serve is not much of a liability. And we all know, if her Serve is clicking then she is pretty dominating. Thats why she was able to beat Vika in Istanbul 2012.
So for me at Singapore, the favorites are Serena, Maria and Petra. anyone outside of these 3 will be surprising
@SW fan @Doctor Ivo! Ummm. If I'm not wrong, Petra committed 7 DF's of her own as well

Kei takes pressure as privilege. He is performing well in Asian tourneys where he has a home crowd support, no matter where. He has matured a lot this year under Chang
On a surprising note, lots of American male players in Asian tourneys. Steve and Jack have made it through QF's at Japan open

something seems to have clicked for Maria. She is playing better in Beijing and winning against players she is supposed to win

@taiping11 @Acer17 @Pvessel He means, WINNINGMasters and Majors. Also beating a Big 4 at those finals or even at 500 would prove that he is among the top.

@tennisfan2331 @lexxlutz I think Maria's and Rafa's fan get it more than Serena's
2 months ago on Conversation @ http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/09/kvitova-bouchard-advance-wuhan-semifinals/52869/
@lexxlutz yes, just like Maria does. Maria never backs down from meeting Serena. But the end results arent humbling
@Gene put Petra anywhere but NA and she is good to go.
@arasmas @lexxlutz @tennisfan2331 @downandout there was nothing funny about it. To fight a warrior like Serena you need that extra. Henin, Clijsters had it, and the ones i see have it now are Vika and Cornet
@tennisfan2331 yea, you've never been to be Asia
@Candeee and what about Serena?

@taiping11 Federer needs energy and not luck. hope he has some left for London and davis cup. rest i dont care

@TennisMenace These premier leagues are always scams in India. First cricket and now Tennis. Always looting people.
the WTA tournament in Bangalore was stopped because of corruption. When will we Indians learn!
@grumpydude I think American DAvis cup team needs good players, then we can think about women coaches

@Candeee you should be sent to Iraq

@Richard @lexxlutz out of all those above mentioned players, there is only major winner and thats Serena!

@GuyJoe umm, but it did happen. Serena lost again
@taiping11 @Allinthetoss umm. who doesnt trouble Maria?
anyhow, Caroline is a hot and cold player. Hope she gains some consistency
Wow Indoor and clay!
Federer the best ever on indoor courts and the 2nd best in this generation on clay After Rafa.
Federer has reached 5 RG finals, winning 1.
Stan has always played better on clay than hard courts. So many titles won on clay. He has also defeated a lot of top players on clay courts and reached all his masters finals on clay(Rome, Madrid and Monte Carlo)
The only ADVANTAGE that Frenchies have is that Roger is 33. Thats all.
Come on Fedrinka!!!

@LaReine @Robinhood733 Li Na brought billions of people to tennis. Serena is beloved by tennis fans. Maria brings glamor and fashion to the tour(along with serena and Venus). Venus brings class and also got equal pay for women major champions.
these women have been trendsetters, i wonder what gen next women will bring to the tour.
Sloane i thought would takeover Serena(we all know how that turned out)
Genie is stepping on Maria's footsteps.
thats all i have

Li Na brought 1.4 billion people to tennis scene. Thats a massive achievement. No wonder she was under a constant pressure to perform well. And her 2 major victories are the sweetest. She is a classy lady and fought really hard, on and off court(chinese tennis association)
Chinese/Asian/tennis fans will miss her. Hope she stays in touch with tennis and her fans even after her retirement.
