I kinda feel like Brooks is losing these guys. How on earth can the offense drop so badly that KD Westbook and Ibaka all have simultaneous off nights for this many games. Shooting (especially as a professional in their prime) is like 90% mental. I see a combination of fatigue and complete frustration. To me that's on Brooks. I don't think these guys are playing for him, especially the guys at the end of the bench that he's treated like dogsh*t. I don't blame them for being terrible, it's not like he'd give them any credit or more playing time down the road. I wonder how KD feels about it.

I think that if this team comes out of the all-star break cold and dropping bad games, I think Presti would feel totally justified in getting rid of Scott Brooks.

@TempBoy Brandon @Tvaddic I know plenty of really talented and creative people that cringe at the thought of a 1-on-50 interview session. I've mostly seen local sideline nobodies complain about it because they can't get a story. Skip Bayless school of journalism.

@AronZoltanLaszik I think OU students feel more entitled to get "the" job right out of college. They'll only apply to a few positions at the best companies, and if they don't get it, they take 2 years to get their MBA. At my old job, all of our interns had MBA's.

@Kong Lambchop Disagree. I think he's one of the only people that Russell actually listens to. I just think that Brooks has decided to role the dice on letting Russ be Russ and living with the outcome.

I think in general Russell has a super introverted personality. I know a few people that are just like him. They have a really small circle of real friends, everyone else is just an acquaintance. If any of those acquantances does anything shady or 2-faced (like reporters who can write positive or negative articles from day to day), he's done with them. He probably already hates these locker-room interviews with a passion, it's only natural that he would go off every once in a while.

@Tvaddic @SeinfeldOKC I'd do it. Something about the Clippers. Their roster is full of nice players, but as a team they are just so dumb together. I literally have no fear of losing to them in the playoffs. I think he'd have a slick 2-man game with Nick and Steven.

Edit: No idea what his contract situation is. I just like him as a player to keep our 2nd unit in the game while KD and Russ rest.

@propsizzle @thunder_mike He's kinda what we wish Perry would turn into. He's on the back end of his career, but I think he's still a decent shooter and defender, and has enough experience to be able to play with KD and Russ.

@Michael G Scott @_justin @TheresABabyFaceUnderMyBeard You're making life decisions based on a stat sheet, not real life. Lamb produces nothing for this team, and a rookie SG will never crack the rotation. We traded a pick we'd probably waste and a 13th man for a confident veteran 2-guard. And we most likely won't be in the tax past this year. I don't understand what you're arguing for.

@_justin @Michael G Scott @thunder_mike Lamb is in the doghouse, he's done, I think that's safe to say. He's probably better than Morrow, but Morrow throws his lanky ass all over the court and Brooks likes that, so the Lamb experiment is over IMO. I think they made this trade because they're pretty positive we won't have RJ next season.

@Michael G Scott @_justin This place is never satisfied. Same thing with Perk. Worst center in history, but when any trade is discussed, he's a defensive god that we cannot give up. Give me a break. Let's stop acting like Jeremy Lamb is an All Star. He lights up the D-League and gets his shots to fall once every 6 games. I'll take a chance on Waiters for basically free.

@RobotLion @thunder_mike The 2 guard in this scenario is nothing but a 3 and D guy who can also finish a fast break. It could be Roberson, it could be another guy a year from now. Brooks mostly wants a 2 guard who won't mess up Russ or KD's flow and has at least one amazing skill (shooting and/or Defense). If anything, we can't really afford to over-develop at the 2 (see: James Harden).

1 month, 2 weeks ago on Monday Bolts – 12.15.14

@Funaki you dude @thunder_mike The reason I would take Lin is that his whole career has been under intense pressure and storylines. Coming to OKC would allow him to relax and solely focus on winning. There may be better PG's available, but they're probably young and on their first contracts. I don't really wanna rely on a 2nd year guy to lead our bench in the WCF. Lin showed in NY that he can be a playmaker, and he really works hard to move the ball and get guys involved.

Again, I want RJ as option 1 2 and 3, but I wouldn't hate Lin on the cheap.

1 month, 2 weeks ago on Monday Bolts – 12.15.14

Ideally we definitely want to keep Reggie by almost any means necessary. BUT if he wasn't interested in staying, I would take Jeremy Lin for a discount. Houston was a crap situation. They signed him to the max (which was mostly a publicity stunt), then scrapped that whole thing when Harden and Howard came along (I'm not saying that was a bad idea, just a crappy turn of events for him). Plus he doesn't flagrant foul people and celebrate like Patrick Beverly, apparently that makes you an elite defender.

I think he'd love to come and just setup KD and Serge all day, and just shoot open 3-pointers when Russ is in the game. Again, keeping Reggie is ideal, but this isn't a bad contingency for the right price.

Also hell yes to Wesley Matthews if we could get him.

@Es Wild @Legendary_Dork I kinda feel like we'll miss Thabo's finishing ability. Roberson is athletic and can dunk, but Thabo was surprisingly reliable at finishing a fast break, which is a pretty important thing for this team.

@okcjim @Durantacula @McLasch Lamb's injury is a little concerning. Back injuries are never good, but when you see what kind of weight gain he's made in the off-season and how much pressure he's been under to get that 2 spot, it makes me wonder if he's over-trained and aggravated a nerve or something. That stuff can take some time to get right.
