@ThunderTheFUp There's definitely a chance of these guys leaving, but I don't see Russ going to LA. The dude never talks about being from LA the way KD talks about DC. Plus I think he shows well against the Lakers because he likes conquering the big dogs more than showing off at home. Plus all the media coverage would drive him insane. He bought a new house away from the city when the rest of the team lives around Gallardia. This is the first off-season that we've even heard a peep from Russ since he got to the league. If he was a Laker, he'd never escape the public eye.
@duhsweetness @TempBoy Brandon *Western conference isn't as strong with out Russell Westbrook, David Lee, or Kobe Bryant
Draft* talk
It's really hard for me to get into trade talk especially being another month away, so I'll just throw out a different thought.
Is Hasheem a Nazr Mohammed-type at best? Reading about how crappy his first few years in the league were, I would consider last season to be his rookie year, which I would say was actually pretty okay, probably slightly less impressive than RJ's rookie season. He shows real desire to play defense and grab boards, and this was probably the first time he's gotten to focus on those things. If he learns to consistently finish at the basket, he's already on par with Perk.
On another random note, if the draft busts and we don't get a 5, do we go after Oden?
@MrRaysian To be fair, our houses do withstand most tornados very well. We have tornados all the time and rarely suffer this kind of damage. But there aren't many structures that can withstand an EF5 that's been estimated to release 600 times the energy of an atom bomb.
I do agree that underground storm shelters should be much more of a norm than they are now.
.................
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
@RWolverine A team's best defender always plays against the best scorer on the other team, thus his numbers don't always look great. He is a great defender, his shot was just crap in the playoffs
@Jooseppi @Legendary_Dork It's just a thing to do in Oklahoma. It's probably a notch or two above Popeye's, but it's more about the experience than the meal. I'd have put Bobo's chicken on that list instead.
@bmuelle22 Throwing them a bone I guess
Random question, but I wonder how big men develop their game on the off-season. Playing pickup with random people is a sure-fire injury for a banger. And I wonder how they get any legit reps. Backing down your 5'5 trainer holding a practice dummy probably gets pretty old.
I can't understand the thought behind drafting/signing/thinking about another PG. I mean a backup 3/4 and a scoring 5 should be our top 10 priorities. Backup PG's and 2's are a dime a dozen and should be a mid-season pickup at best.
@Jooseppi @Patrick OKC @Perk has a lot of value to our team Am I the only person that feels like Pleiss has been "stashed" for like 5 years? Is it really a good sign if he's taking this long to develop in the Euro league?
@Legendary_Dork @neo12 @OBoy @As Promised @Tronchaser I'm sorry, but you have to take advantages of even the smallest opportunities, and Lamb never looked all that great in NBA garbage time. I was at many-a-blowout this last season and saw Lamb get decent minutes. He has a nice little floater, but his D and hustle are mediocre at best.
It would've been nice to see him get some minutes earlier in the year, but there's no way IMO that he would've contributed in any meaningful games. I think Brooks was okay not to play him, and he kinda proved himself right when Fisher went nuts during the playoffs. His main irrefutable sin was playing Perkins so much.
@T-Fred @PNT 105.3 CBS sports radio is good, and 1400AM is good. Both are much much better than the Sports Animal. Mark Rogers is really good but his callers are iidddiotssss
@CDSpark @thunder_mike DT for the win!! Thank you!
Living a nightmare... travelling for work in Canada and not only can I not see the game, but there are 3 channels showing the NHL playoffs and another showing baseball. Sigh whyyy
Thabo Sefalosha, DeAndre Liggins, Kevin Durant, Derek Fisher. Who would've thought that FISHER would be the one to lock down James Harden...
