If one of Parker, Manu, or Duncan go down the Spurs lose too.
Brooks won't be gone. But who would you get to replace him? Not many elite coaches out there that aren't too old, in broadcasting, or already with another team. You list any coach and I guarantee you someone on the board will blast him. Not many elite coaches to get.
Of course you don't want him taking a ton, but I don't think you want Cole taking any (which he wouldn't) so that doesn't help to extend the defense. I like Cole's defense too and think he'll be fine but he seems to just jump around trying to block shots and as you said against better post players he'd probably be sending them to the line. Good article though, a lot of reasons to play Cole, if we didn't have Nazr I don't have a problem playing him, just like I wouldn't mind playing Jackson if we didn't have Fisher
Cole cannot hit the free throwline or baseline jumper that Nazr can. It's easier to score and have a higher % when Cole is right around the basket in garbage time. Cole would also get burned by post players as he leaves his feet way too often to block shots or close out on defenders that would be an easy pump fake. I'm not saying he shouldn't play but if he is giving us the same as Nazr then why not play the Vet where you know exactly what you are going to get and avoid the rookie mistakes down the stretch that cole could give you. Cole is going to get plenty of minutes in the next seasons no need to rush it in my opinion.
alvarex the good of RW far outweighs the bad
Lost OnesSergio Santos Nash shoots a ton. Rondo can't shoot at all. Curry would shoot every time if he could.
Doesn't brooks see him every day in practice, shoot-arounds, one on one drills, film study? Don't you think he compares him all the time to our other bigs when he decides playing time?
Why do we all think we wouldn't pay the tax. If it's for the right pieces where has anyone said we won't go into the tax?
To think Presti and Brooks aren't on the same page is crazy I'm sure they talk rotation every day.
ya strange that didn't work...
I'm just not sure about the lineups from the 2nd quarter until 4:30 left.
As described above the lineups would be:12:00 Maynor, Durant, Thabo,
9:00 Maynor, Harden, Thabo/Cook
6:00 Westbrook, Harden, Thabo/Cook
Seems there may be a drought here in 2nd quarter until 6:00 or 4:30 mark.

Why do other teams have 6th men like Harden but we can't. Odom, Ginobli, Terry all should be starting right?

If Thabo comes off the bench our 2nd and 4th quarters will have the offensive lull that our 1st and 3rd quarters have. You have to pick when you want to have a defensive presence like Thabo in the game.
