Bad numbers for the UFC when you compare it to other fight cards but really considering the lack of star power they were decent. Very good numbers for FS1. On a more important note, the 2 most watched Fox Sports Live shows have come on the heels of UFC fights. I also liked the integration between FSL and Fight night this week it really blended well together. All the FS1 bashing will dissipate as we get into football season and when the Ultimate fighter starts.
6 months, 1 week ago on UFC Fight Night ratings down, but still solid
This is just ESPN and Turner posturing for a new deal with the NBA. They need to save money to make a serious offer to the NBA this year. Right now it looks like Fox sports really wants NBA programming. For ESPN and Turner it is useless to keep a product that they will not carry past 2014. They want out because they want to use that money for the NBA. If they can't get out of this deal it will make Fox a serious competitor for NBA programming in 2016.

@mg9895 and sometimes you pull the plug on a channel cause you're bleeding money. Fox can afford to piss people off if it means they are going to make money off of it.
6 months, 2 weeks ago on Speed fans are angry about Fox Sports 1
@mg9895 Disney would pull the plug on ESPN if the ratings were as bad as Speeds. They'd probably do it a lot faster than Fox did.
@KrisHenion It is absolutely about trying to make money. IT'S A BUSINESS. Why would they just sit back and lose money as advertisers pull their money from the channel because no one was watching? They needed to do something because nobody watched the channel. People complaining on the internet won't make them second guess their decision. They are doing better ratings in one week than they would have done if Speed was still on.
@ScottMcCulloch yeah but the pros outweigh the cons its all about money and FS1 can net them alot of it 10 years down the road
WOW!!! 500 angry commenters...keep it growing maybe Fox will actually decide to get rid of FS1 and put Speed back on haha. Fox is very happy with FS1 because more people have watched it in 5 days than ever in the channels history. Your blog will go unnoticed and unheard by everyone who loves FS1.
@Nascar_Gamecock @PPistone I agree FS2 in HD!!!! As the channel grows it will eventually get an HD stream across all cable companies. Dish and Directv have FS2 in HD
@JSprague24Well if you're not going to pay for FS2 then clearly you're not that big of a fan. When the UFC moved to FuelTV (FS2) i immediately went and payed for the channel and people did. Now I am rewarded with UFC on FS1 (Speed) in HD too.
