Doesn't it seem like Westbrook gets smacked in the face serveral times every game? A foul is rarely called, but it seems to faze him for a sec and it leave 5-4 fastbreaks for the other team.]

Why would the Thunder feel like they need to offer James the full max now? You can't "poison pill" a max contract for a restricted free agent. Either he signs with a discount before the season or the Thunder get a max-motivated Harden next season, he gets his offer from phx, dal, or hou and the Thunder match and amnesty Perk.
