@israelseen @Justa Ju In my humble opinion, the days of distinction between reporting and commenting are long gone. I think JBN is on the money in accepting that readers know they're not the source of the story, they saw it someplace else. So merely re-reporting it is meaningless, even annoying. They add an attitude, which is the value added that justifies them even being there.

@israelseen Hate speech? Seriously? To point out that the prime minister of Israel, after making so many statements about being Jewish and protecting Jews, can't find a kosher restaurant in Manhattan? I have to say, your threshold for hate speech is extremely low.
@Annie22 We shouldn't have gone into Iraq in the first place, and I'm talking 1990. It was an unnecessary act against our loyal ally in the region, Saddam Hussein. We mucked it all up real good.

@Annie22 Bush gave Iraq democracy? Wait, I fell off my seat laughing again... Just a moment... Bush gave... Oh, my God, fell again... Wait, I'll try one more time... Bush gave Iraq... No, i can't, I'm on the floor again.
@BoruchN They fixed it.

@SudhamaRanganathan I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Ar you equating the moral status of underground leaders such as Begin and Shamir with that of Bin Laden and Khaled Mashal? If you do, then you're not a student of history but merely cherry picking through the facts to make a point you had intended to make in the first place anyway.
The enormous difference between Shamir et al, who executed British officers (not that many, but it made an impression), and politicians -- and Islamist groups that target civilians directly, celebrating their demise, should be glaring to any person of the barest moral sensibility.
@Jeffrey Blankfort Get a sense of humor.

@catchmysoul2 - But that's the point. Someone of Streisand's stature just shouldn't do this shit.

@Geoff Short - That's not really up to us, is it? We all have highs and lows in our spiritual paths. But when a Jew marries out -- he or she deprive themselves in a clear and serious manner of the opportunity to come back.

Maybe that's why Ezra the Scribe made the Jews divorce their gentile wives when they came back to Jerusalem. To make sure they won't disappear.
@Ruth Yeomans That's what the banner at the gate to Auschwitz said: "One Love."

@ChaiGuy53 - With all due respect, you know nothing about Islam, which is all about subjugation of the self to God. You are mixing historic phenomena detailed here with the religion itself which is the epitome of humility. Why do you think they bow down before God five times a day?

Couldn't have said it better myself. I often wonder how one can rise spiritually while considering himself or herself victims of anything, much less of some invented, demonic entity they hardly know or understand.
This article really frames the debate in a new way. I agree with everything, but it still makes me sad to think of the innocent women and children.

@mydogpeter -- As soon as we get to pray on Temple Mount, they can have the entire plaza plus the peanuts concession.

If the Americans now gave up the delusion of peace between Israel and the Palestinians, and concentrated on real American interests in the region, such as supporting the anti-terrorism forces, we could extract some stability out of this mess. But I doubt very much that this is an even remote possibility.

Why the cynicism? Why not write: Wow, there's an honest Jewish guy, let's help him! And if you just want to sit on your fat behind, then at least applaud him.
