@DXL I hear what you're saying and it very well may be true. I live in DC though and after to going to a couple of their games...the whole team stinks to a point where I'm not sure any rookie evaluation will be completely accurate. Their spacing is just terrible. Put him on a team with already existing pieces and I still think he could be a solid player.

@wannabeGM I just think you're discrediting things as obvious when they really weren't. Spinning Uncle Jeff gave us a big upgrade at center (Nenad isn't even in the league) and gave Harden room to grow. Harden turned into KMart and more draft picks. Praising Presti for not handcuffing this team before the core's prime years and being a real contender is giving credit where its due. What other team has a long term outlook like the Thunders?

@wannabeGM I assumed you were just trolling to start- but I'm not sure you actually are. You make no mention of drafting Ibaka, which has turned out to be an incredible steal. Signing Harden would have been great- I would have loved to cheer for that guy...but by not signing him to the max they retained cap flexibility and remain well-positioned to continue restocking through the draft. You can't play everyone you draft...a good team doesn't WANT that kind of turnover from year to year. Bledsoe looks great, but you simply cannot keep every asset. The fact that Presti has built a top 5 team in the league, kept it under the cap, and the team's success looks to remain completely sustainable is just....pretty insane. KD/Russ/Ibaka are one hell of a core to build around, and he has the assets and flexibility to still make things happen if they need to...what else can you want from a GM?

I can hear Skip now saying how the contract situation will tear apart Harden from the team.
