There were more than a few times that Perkins helped off of Gasol, who would then promptly knock down the open shot.
Hmm... Sounds like there's a poll question in there somewhere.
It's not terribly unlike a pitcher going high and inside on an opponent's star player after one of your own has gotten drilled. Beverly's play wasn't "dirty," but he executed it recklessly. There should have been a foul called òn the amount of contact.
I mean, our deep bench seriously out-played them until the kids ran out of gas.
Did he really just say the Bucks are a fun team to watch? In what version of Hell????
Wow, trolling an obscure word from one post to another is pretty sad - the ultimate online self-fellatio.
Oh crap. Alternate unis tonight. Should I even stay up to watch?
I guess having Ron Adams in the house helps the Thunder defense even when he's on the other bench.
Not a whole lot to say except that we're seeing Dirk age before our very eyes. Which means that the Thunder will play Dallas (or whatever team) on his 40th birthday and he'll drop 40 on them.
@wearetougherthanthis Well, apparently not everyone is aware (see above). :)
@Legendary_Dork @d21 @HPbasketball Note that the tweet was that they didn't complain ABOUT the officials, as in when they were answering questions after the game.
You know, there's a rule in sports, "Don't do anything great if you can't handle the congratulations."
I don't think many of us really have an issue with Perk, but rather how Scott Brooks uses him. We recognize the impact he can have against other bigs, but he's simply not suited to go against a team utilizing a smaller lineup. My biggest frustration is with Westbrook's shot selection. I had his shot chart for the last 30 days as a reference last night, and it is amazing how often he chooses to shot from his worst zones. I couldn't be happier that his assists have gone up and that his rebounding is outstanding, but if he could simply determine "these are the spots I should shoot from," and have the discipline to stick to them, he could be even better than he already is.
KD doing his best Phil Jackson imitation to influence the refs.
I went back and looked, and the Thunder has lost every first game of a new year, and generally looked bad doing it. The last three games to open a new year have all been double-digit losses. Maybe the five New Year's Eve wins (or the after-parties) just takes something out of them.
@Kevin Durant's Pocket Guide To Defying Physics How awkward. I guess some of you didn't get a ticket for the ark?
I'm also really glad the Mayans were wrong. How bad would it be if, after a loss, we could no longer say, "Well, it's not like its the end of the world."
"Westbrook is considering the dunk contest. I fear for him in the dunk contest, because I think he’d try to dunk it so hard he’d break his whole arm." That's where the adamantine comes in handy.
@justin_mia "Fantastic?" I don't know that I've ever heard you use the word before.
Tommy Tutone was easily the worst halftime since Jazzercise.
