I've been impressed with Perk this year. Last year he was terrible. I think this year he has upgraded to playing below average, which sounds like a dig, but I'm being serious. He's actually giving us something, which led to Brian Davis having an orgasm on the air last night when Perk stood up Horford on one possession. he screamed something like 'Don't talk to me about stats with Perkins!" It's the only time I yelled at the TV last night.
However, Fish has been a disappointment. His defense is surprisingly good but he can' t hit a shot to save his life. I think it's time for Fish to develop 'tendenitiis' and have PJ III get 10 games in with 15 mpg to see what he can do with the 2nd unit.

Perk cleans up the boards? When is this? Did I miss the good rebound game for Perk?

19 fga? Wow...
I disagree with just about everything you just said. Russ did not play well. We are a better team with Russ but this is not the Russ from last year. He needs to play better. LMA as an MVP? No way. LMA played excellent last night. KD played OK. LMA barely had more points than KD. KD and LBJ are on different levels than LMA.

I was super excited in the first half with our small ball lineup. LMA guarding Lamb and on 2 consecutive possessions, Lamb got a wide open 3 off a screen (missed) then took LMA off the dribble for an EASY layup. Alas, they didn't do this in the 4th with the same matchup. I think if they had let Lamb try and take advantage of the matchup, Stotts would have subbed out Lopez and left LMA at the 5. It would have helped us out. Not sure why Brooks doesn't maximize matchups with smallball...

1 onf them wasn't a real offensive rebound...Portland failed to secure the DREB and it just fell into Jones' hands. Fluky and not something to brag about.
LMA only scored 10 pts in the paint. Everything else was a jumpshot. Not sure how national commentators like Barkley get all over Serge for being a jumpshooter but LMA get love for doing the same thing...
What's the source to get those numbers?
There was a timeout around the 5 minute mark after a Portland run. He came back with the starters for another 2 minutes...

Our biggest problem is still the broken starting lineup, and has been since we acquired Perk. We have 2 non-factors on offense in a lineup with KD and Russ causing the defense to collapse on them. You can see both of them getting frustrated, especially Russ. He has no lanes to drive into and when he tries, he can't dump it to Perk and Thabo is scared to shoot. Russ hit Sef in the corner for a 3 last night, Matthews ran at Thabo, and he didn't even look to shoot. Russ just shook his head in disgust. It's a shot any decent shooter knocks down. Since his 14 pts opening night vs Utah, Thabo has not had 1 double digit scoring game.
Everyone else is playing for second? That's overstating it. It was a very close game last night, LMA went off, KD and Russ did not play well...all of their big wins (SA, Ind, OKC) have been on the 2nd night of B2B games...let's chill a little.
I disagree somewhat...That start was fluky. If Sacramento's gameplan was to let us take multiple shots in the restricted area, they succeeded. We missed multiple layups and easy shots...If Portland lets us take those shots, I'm good.
The defense wasn't horrible either...Vasquez shooting contested runners, Derrick Williams shooting contested 22 footers...I just thought it was one of those starts that went against us.

I love the RW-RJ-JL-KD-SI lineup better.

I need help from a techie out there...I have an 8 yr old girl and a 10 yr old boy...We are looking at the tablet deals on Black Friday. They'll use them mostly for gaming...things like Plants vs Zombies or Minecraft and similar games. The first tablet is at Stage for $49:
Stage | Brilliant 7″ Tablet w/ Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS | $49.99
The second is at Wal-Mart. All it says is RCA dual core tablet, 7", also $49. Is either a servicable tablet?
I know I'm not buying a brand name tablet or an iPad or anything...just need a starter tablet for my young'ns. Are these worth the money? These would be their 'Santa' gift
It's the new thing with the CBA. There is literally no reason to extend early. No benenfit. When KD re-signs with the Thunder, he gets no more money or years than if he signed else where.
Looking at boxscores this morning, I really like our bench unit. Minnesota, Portland and Chicago ran their starters in the ground last night...big minutes in November is not a good strategy. Your stars can play 35+ mpg, but not all 5 starters...Minnesota's bench played a total of 48 minutes spread over only 3 players, and those 3 contributed 12 pts, 8 rbs, 2 ast, 2 stl, 0 blks...I'll take our young'ns every night...

This was better than any of the Side Part articles.
Good article about the OKC bench at the end.
