Lots of love to all my Oklahoma friends. I live in Seminole...so this one missed my family. I just flew into Portland OR for the week for work so it's been a crazy day trying to find friends and family.

Nomad (or anyone form Portland OR) - I saw you are from Portland. I am right next to Washington Square Mall in Beaverton...where should I go to watch the ball game tomorrow? Where should I go eat? any recommendations?

Utah could do this because at least they get something for Millsap. Martin could help them or they could flip him at the trade deadline for a PG.

What you are not considering in Amnesyting Perk is a sign and trade. Teams over the luxury tax, starting this year, cannot participate in sign and trades. The Lakers could not pull off the Steve Nash trade in 2013 but could last year. If we amnesty Perk, we could make a trade for someone who makes more than the MLE. For example, we could agree to Millsap, 3 years, 23M, and send Martin back with a 1 year, 5M deal, use the trade exception from Maynor, maybe throw in a future 2nd rounder and be good. That's why amnestying Perk makes sense.

With nothing to do at work now but read draft sites, I kinda like Mason Plumlee. I haven't been a big fan of his, but I think he's much better than what we have at C and is a decent replacement for Collison as Nick gets older. Not a ton of upside, but someone who could contribute right away (in Tulsa, probably, since Brooks wouldn't play him). Am I crazy?

Dirk says he's taking less money for his next contract to allow Cuban to sign 2 max players...

Put Marc Gasol on the Thunder, not next to Zach Randolph, and he's a better rebounder. Look at last year when Randolph was hurt/ineffective. He averaged over a rebound more per game.

Why anyone would get information about the Thunder from the Sports Animal is beyond me. I've always liked Craig Humphreys b.c he looks at stats and does his homework, but the rest are pretty bad.

No...Ibaka is a much better rim protector and is better offensively. No one else would do that.

Missed on Mullens, Aldrich, DJ White...traded away Carl Landry. Jury is still out on PJIII, but I loved that pick. About 60/40, so pretty average drafter.

I'd take Sloan over Brooks...At least we'd have a system, but Sloan's defensive system is ancient not geared for today's NBA

It's not that we lost without Westbrook, it's the way that we lost. Brooks making no adjustments, Perkins looking laughable, Ibaka not playing well the first 3 games, total reliance on Fisher hitting open 3's.

I think you are correct...as much as I hate to admit it.

Jenni Carlson is an idiot. Maybe the Grizzlies didn't get offensive boards when Perk was in, but that could be because Zack Randolph was beasting Perkins and shooting layups.

Any idea on Tibor Pleiss and if he may come over next season?

Agree that Brooks did not make the adjustments, but the players did not do their jobs as a whole. Perk was laughable. Collison was below what we expect out of him, and no one else stepped up other than Reggie Jackson. Give Memphis credit for what they did to Thabo: They closed out like crazy and made him dribble the ball before he shot.

So we hold on to Perk for 2 years to trade him as an expiring? No No NOOOOOOO. Get him out. He's worthless. No one will take him in trade. Except maybe Berry Tramel....

I disagree. Ibaka improved a lot this year. 9.1 ppg up to 13.2, FG% .535 to .573, hit 20 3s at 35%, FT% .661 to .749...he was much better this year. As far as being better than Bosh (or better), especially at center, and you are talking about a max contract guy. Just too unrealistic

If we wanted to trade Ibaka, why didn't we keep Harden? Why do you want to trade an athletic freak who is in the running for defensive player of the year, knocks down open jump shots, still has a ton of potential that has been unreached on both ends of the floor? Ibaka had a bad series, but he is a tremendous talent.

Sorry, but Perk was not good defensively last night. Brooks switched him to Randolph and he got beasted. Had to switch Ibaka to Randolph.
