Can't make that many mistakes against a good team like that and expect to win. Too many missed opportunities. I was encouraged by Pep's play-calling though, and I actually thought Richardson looked more explosive and decisive. This was a pretty brutal Week 1 matchup, but at least they kept it close. Gotta turn the page and get ready for the Iggles.

Well done, Kyle. Howell was one of the lingering questions I had been wondering about too. As far as future reviews, I'd love to see one on Sergio, both on ST and his rare appearances in the secondary.

Love this move at this price and length. Well done, Grigson.

YES! Costa was my #1 free agent priority. Had to have him. He's so versatile too: he can split out wide, contribute in the nickel package, and handle squib kick duties. Champ-yun-ship!

Criticism of Landry is certainly fair (the angle he took on Blount's long TD was inexcusable, especially when playing as the single-high safety), but I think saying he's slow is about the one thing that is indisputably not true.

@gaiter27 If the refs had ruled an incomplete pass, the Colts would've taken over on downs back at the original line of scrimmage (around midfield... can't remember exactly where, but wherever the ball was snapped).

@MarcusDugan@M1shot3timesGotta wonder if he'll look into Edelman, unless his value gets inflated too much from this season. But he'd definitely be a nice fit in that WR corps.
So I know it can technically be spelled either way, but I just find it unsatisfying to leave the "ugh" out of Foxborough. It's too fitting.

Awesome work, Ben. Thanks for doing these each week, they're really informative. And even if the analyses are a bit subjective, the fact that you're the one doing them each week means that they should at least be consistently subjective. So even if you tend to be a tough grader (or an easy one), it still lets us get a bit of an idea of how the line performed in any given week compared to previous ones. Keep it up.

Gimme the 3 seed and a potential second round trip to Foxborough or Cincy instead of Denver, even if the first round matchup is arguably a bit tougher. Or better yet, Baltimore could just win both of its last two games.

A couple small plays I appreciated: 1. Rainey showing impressive body control by snagging a punt right by the sideline, stopping on a dime, and picking up 12 yards to let the O start at the 17 instead of the 5, and 2. Sergio Brown once again being in the right place at the right time on Rainey's fumble. The guy quietly goes about his business and consistently contributes on special teams.

Ugly all around, but Palmer also played out of his mind. Consistently made pinpoint throws with the pocket collapsing around him, sometimes off his back foot.

Good stuff, Kyle. Different feel this week, with things more streamlined. And I have to say, that throw by Luck on the play with the Linkenbach hold was just absurd. Kid is special.

Nice work, Kyle. The girlfriend analogy is spot on. For me, the turning point was when I decided I just wasn't going to compare 12 and 18. It's just not fair to compare Luck to the greatest of all time. Maybe one day, but not now. For now, the future is bright in Indy, and I can still enjoy a side dish of watching Peyton be Peyton. And if the Colts can't take home the Lombardi, then I sure as hell hope 18 does so he can cement that legacy.

I'm not going to click the link because I refuse to give them page hits, but I'm pretty sure it's Matt Grecco. Unless they also hired his brother. He does good work -- it's a shame he's trapped over there with that imbecile.

@Kyle Rodriguez@zgs1288From an apparently blatantly wrong article on the Yahoo Contributor Network (http://sports.yahoo.com/news/indianapolis-colts-shrewdly-trade-center-baltimore-ravens-153000238.html). Guess that's what I get for believing anything written there. So it's a conditional 7th rounder... so if he doesn't make the team, then what? Nothing?
