So you deliberately confuse bar room conversation about a person who – rightly or wrongly – is regarded by many in the military as a traitor with the policy of the civilian administration?
Nice work, David. That's up there with the kind of stuff that Glenn Beck specialises in.

@TravisKalanick @nathanielmott @RedRookDigital @fred_ox Travis, with accusations like that, you should have some proof.
So where's the email you can show which says you were "told as much prior to your launch"? Frankly, if you didn't get a legal statement like that on paper or in bits, you have much to learn about how to do business anywhere, let alone NYC.

@docweasel @paulcarr so Paul shows conclusively that your original argument is wrong and that the film you cite as an example wouldn't have been made without the Hollywood system, and your comeback is "yeah well I don't care about your cold hard facts my fantasy world would happen anyway"
Ok. Can you see why I think Paul's right and you're totally wrong?

@divad4686 And your evidence for this is what? Some comments you've read on a blog from someone who's never worked in film in their lives?
Have you worked in film finance? Are you a producer, or have you worked in film production? Do you, in fact, have the faintest idea of the economics of making movies?
If not, and you still think you have an argument to make, make it - show your workings, post the spreadsheet you've worked up with an economic model on which shows that you could sell all content online and replace every single cent of income from movie theatres, DVD/Blu-Ray release and international sales.
@JonasEriksson To put it simply: Because releasing information without processing it can put individuals lives at risk.
One example: The no-fly list, which Daniel apparently deleted, will contain full personal details of many completely innocent people who (for whatever reason) have ended up on that list. Putting their names and details out there will instantly make them a target for anyone with the belief that they're terrorists, both amateur "hacktivists", right-wing crazies, and other governments.
I agree with you that Wikileaks is acting like an unaccountable censor, but the alternative is worse.
