@Murph2417 It's for Saturday's game but you don't have to contribute the cash until later. You could wait until you get paid. But the sentiment is much appreciated. Spreading the word helps too.

@darthNihilus It's Christmas! :)
@Alec Brownscombe Yeah, just click on the Leafs-Wings game. It's just for Saturday night
Some examples of what I've committed to:
$50 for a Gustavsson shutout (normally when only 1 goal allowed and it’s a shitty goal but in this case if it’s just 1 goal)$50 for a Leafs win$0.50 for each Leafs corsi$1 for the Fenwick gap between the two teams (ie 54-46 = $8)$8.10 for each Kessel goal$4.30 for each penalty Kadri draws$0.25 for each Wings corsi
And here are some examples of hate pledges that I’ve committed to:
$2.70 – for every Quincey hit from behind penalty$1.30 – for a Datsyuk shootout goal (double if it is amazing – we’ll know if it’s amazing)$4.40 – if Bertuzzi gets away with attempted murder$9.30 – if Franzen scores a goal that should be disallowed but isn’t$1.10 – every time they show Alfie highlights v. the Leafs
Hope that helps get the creativity going.
@Alec Brownscombe Those are good ones!
Thanks for helping out Alec. Much appreciated.
This is a really good cause and any support makes a huge difference for the kids.
I don't know that criticism has dried up because they've made these higher profile hirings so much as because there isn't really much of a point in being that vocal anymore.
B/R is the same place it's always been and the vast majority of the content is what it's always been. And anyone related with B/R will always howl that things have changed and you can't judge them just by reading their content.
Anyone that has been around long enough knows that so it takes on an "old man yells at cloud" kind of vibe at this point.

@daveybolland Why would you hate the move?
Like this year, I'd look forward to watching playoff hockey.

@darthNihilus @Jmessih I agree completely. It's not even like the roster is complete. It's July 12 not October 1.
@mORRganRielly I'm just shocked so many people disagree with Leafs' management and one of their players. I didn't realize that was allowed or even made sense. If it was opinion that's one thing but Bozak is right: he's the team's 1C, Carlyle and management see it that way, his team believes in him.
Who are you to disagree?
@daveybolland Nope, just have renewed faith in the team's management.
@lovemyleafers Bozak's just coming right into his prime too
@daveybolland Huh? I'm just saying that you seem to be ignoring a lot that Bozak brings to the table to say he's not a 1C when a Cup winning coach and a strong GM think he is.
@ConnorCrisp The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree!
@dlb eh @Greg Fenton Of course the fans don't know better.
How could they possibly do better than the Leafs' management team that has done nothing but go from strength to strength over the past decade?
It's like trying to predict trades, only an idiot would think that they can predict them.
@daveybolland How can you question his role or the coach's decision when the Leafs made the playoffs with him in that role? He's going to do just fine.
@darthNihilus Yup and in every case it would be baseless.
@J Walter Weatherman Why's he the 1C then? Seems like you're ignoring the chemistry he has with Kessel and Lupul
@dlb eh Bingo. He'll let his play on the ice show that he's the catalyst for Kessel and JVR/Lupul
@Greg Fenton Why not if he knows better? He's played the game after all and his teammates tell him he's good and they've also played the game. As long as he keeps being that 1C he's right that he's a 1C.
