Very scary! I almost got run down by a cyclist yesterday, but I've been almost run over by a car many more times, including a near miss when I was 9 months pregnant. Sadly, I think everyone, whether cyclist, motorist or pedestrian just has to expect that everyone else is not paying attention or following the rules.

Laughing about the RFP commentary having just been the awful client conducting the RFP process myself...even we think it is ridiculous. :-)

God yes, regularly communication is key. I've experienced both sides of that with agency partners that communicate regularly and ones that don't. It makes all the difference in fostering a healthy relationship. Ultimately, you need to feel like any kind of agency partner has your best interests at heart and will proactively help you. That is impossible without open communication that is pushed by both.

Yay for being able to see comments!!! Sad clown was my fav!!! OMG. That baby is going to be a musician. I've heard stories about the Hubs reacting like that to certain songs as a baby, so it makes perfect sense.

@martinwaxman @katskrieger I just took on a new project where I will be building all of this from scratch. It really is community management, but I think the term gets somewhat of a bad wrap. Your elements elevate it to what it can truly do when done right. Does that make sense?

OMG, I love this kid in the second one. Funny, our 4 yr old went vegetarian of her own accord around December and still no one seems to believe that she is capable of that kind of 'adult' decision. So infuriating. This kid melts my heart.

I'm with you, I use Wordpress for most of my posts, but sometimes I will paste in notes I have written in Word about podcast episode I am blogging about. I do understand the distraction angle, but can't say I've really experienced it.

Completely agree @ginidietrich . I think this applies to all firms beyond PR. If you are able to approach your client with an idea, relevant article, connection etc, it puts you in a position to be viewed differently by them. When you move from a vendor or service provider to a strategic partner that has their best interests at heart, you win big time. We're finding that some of these opportunities don't immediately hit our bottom line, but strengthen the relationship in the long term and bring in more dollars that way.

@ginidietrich @katskrieger Worked like a charm on the blog. The verify goal button is cool. I also did it for our main site, and analytics gives you many more options for the goal in the first step. They didn't seem to apply to me though, so I went custom. Maybe those are more for ecommerce.

Ohhh new tool alert, I haven't used Flip Top yet. I was using Xobni for awhile, but it was a bit too clunky for me. For organizations with larger sales teams check out what LinkedIn is offering. I took a demo last week and was super impressed....now I need to find the dollars. :-)
