@kanoneyez @darinbro Yes, she said something funny one time and my friend laughed at it. She heard the laughing and said something like
"yeah I thought that was pretty funny too".
Who knows where we would have been as far as assistants if that happened. Right now we have stuff that's better than siri. I wonder how that would have changed if the competition was right on our own device.
How does that look - exactly- like it? Did the author even look at the image or did someone just tell him it has a grid of 4 squares?

Hmm My RAZR Maxx with ICS has Safe Mode. I wonder if this is different. it sounds the same.
New version is terrible. Slow and buggy. Wish I could go back to the old one.
@Brooks Barnard I did say SpeakToIt Assistant. I don't use any of them a lot but when I do SpeakToIt gets the job done best so that's what I go to,
@CMH_2090 Normal humans would like to have information while they're driving and NOT get into car accidents. That is what this app is for after all.
OK I was skeptical but the video won me over and I downloaded. My first test, "where is the nearest coffee shop". The voice sounded pretty good and intelligent but it gave me a coffee shop 19 miles away and several further away when I know there is a Starbucks and a Saxby's within 3 miles of here. Also the hand waving thing didn't work on my RAZR Maxx.
Seems like the real challenge is beating SpeakToIt Assistant. Wake me when it does that.
