@Durants Shimmy @cemitten This actually doesn't sound bad.. Sometimes i don't have people to watch games with. All of my close friends have moved away, and the people who i'v hanged with here don't live in the City.
He controlled the tempo against Memphis

Rondo can finish alright. But not having a jumpshot as a 6'1 PG in the NBA is a nono
My question is this. Do we really make a push for the 7th seed if it seems like Memphis will more than likely stay at that spot I think the top 2 seeds are locked. Do we make a push for the 7th and see Memphis or are we more comfortable pushing for the sixth.
Our next 10 games will be seeing 5 playoff teams. Of those 5 playoff teams we'll see all but one game will be at home. Realistically I see us going 6-4 or 7-3 these next 10 games before we see Dallas. Then we reach the final stretch of games that will be a little more difficult with more back to backs.
I see San Antonio going 8-2 their next 10, but I cant see both Dallas and L.A going 4-6 seeing as to the majority of their opponents not only are playoff teams but they will be on the road alot too playing against power houses with multiple back to backs.
@Lost Ones @ElMexiThunder It hs been 2 years since the last time i'v had this much activity on DT.

@El Prez @cemitten @ElMexiThunder Awh come on, i missed out on the debate yesterday, I'm just trying to make up!
@cemitten @ElMexiThunder It is a pretty big post.
Last night i read several post comparing the 11-12 team, 12-13 team, to this current squad. I just want to put my two cents in on this debate.
Statistically speaking Justins right, The 12-13 team was a top 20 in NBA history (Offensively), and on paper seemed like the most complete team in the NBA that season. However, I'd argue that not only is the 11-12 team still the best team we've had thus far, I believe this current squad with a full NBA season under their belt could take on the '13 squad in a playoff series pretty comfortably. Statistically speaking, that 13 team was an offensive juggernaut. However, (And i know numbers will point the other way) we weren't nearly as good defensively as the '12 team, and this current squad already has more potential to be defensively better than '13's.
Now ignoring the '12 squad for a bit. If you want to directly compare the '13 squad to this year. Yes Kevin Martin is better than anyone on our second unit. With that being said, Our 3 guard lineup in the second unit was atrocious on defense. Please don't tell me a'lot of you have forgotten when Rlax, Fish, and Martin would play run and gun, and usually one of the opposing teams back up guards would be killing us more than not. If you want really compare on levels of impact, DJ/Morrow right now is better than the Reggie/Fish combo. Our back up forwards that year were Deandre Liggins, and Perry effing Jones.. Kyle vs those two isn't even a competition. Now look at our 4's/5's at that time.. Our backups were Collison/Thabeet/ and Daniel Orton.... I understand our closing units, and best units were with KD at the 4, but still... Thats pretty pathetic.. Our current back up list consist of possibly Kanter/Collison/McGary/ Obviously an already better trio.. Our starting unit seems better on paper, but with what may now be a low post scorer as our start, or Acams who's already better at finishing than Kendrick is, We have more offensive boom already. In the season Thabo did shoot 40% from 3 ( Corner) but this starting unit already is more versatile, and has less holes than that starting unit did. Remember how our starting unit use to be a black hole on offense, and how we'd give up a 3 possession lead the second KD, and Russ starting missing shots? Besides Our Big 3 is clearly better by miles than they were at that moment in time.
I get it, At that time statistically speaking, it was going to be "OUR YEAR", but that squad was never going to beat Miami, San Antonio, or Indiana. This team was soft, and i doubt we would have steamrolled through Memphis even with Russ healthy. We would have won that series in 6. This squad not only already shows potential to be defensively better, but our core's experience, and new added depth who all but one have deep playoff experience. I'd say mentally, we already have more Grit than the '13 squad.
This current squad is deeper, and has more potential. I believe a full year, with a healthy team this squad would be better. Seeding, and Regular Season numbers do tell a story, but none of it matters if in the playoffs there were a number of teams who clearly had our number, and we all were hoping we wouldn't see.
This squad is deeper than the '12 team, but obviously our star power far outweighs any of that. Then again... Miami and San Antonio showed... Depth is real reason to success....
@Tankmode @ElMexiThunder @GlendaGonzales
He aight. This is Oklahoma though, So i understand he's the best we got.
@GlendaGonzales @Old Man Game
So nothing we didn't already know?
@GlendaGonzales The guys on Sports Animal aren't the best at basketball talk
@TearsOfJoy Dion, and his chubby cheeks

@Old Man Game Not trying to compare them at all, but if Ibaka can go from raw to its truest definition and being a foul machine to a near DPOY, I believe McGary will get a bit better on D.
Another thing we've all overlooked tonight, Mitch continues to improve, and actually did some things defensively against a Maxiell, and Al Jeff. Don't forget, Jason use to kill it for a bit at Detroit
You know its bad when Robes has a broken shot, and still has better percantages than Waiters...
@neo12 @ElMexiThunder Thats the one i saw us losin lol
Before the all star break i saw us going 5-1 the next 6 games, We already won 2 of this. What are the chances we can win out the rest of the month? If we win out, and San/Dal go 500 in that span, we would only be 3 ganes behind the 6th seed.
@neo12 @ElMexiThunder @DanielLawler Better than Maynor, and he can actually score.
@DanielLawler @ElMexiThunder They hatin, Reggie will average in the high teens in Detroit, but his assit total probably wont top 6 a game.
@DanielLawler DJ scoring was subpar, but his overall impact on the game was pretty good if you really want to look at it. Controlled tempo, mostly all of his looks were good, and hit some pretty big shots. I think he makes up in his mediocre scoring with his playmaking.
Reggie on the other hand wasn't really the best at getting his teammates involved, and made up for that in scoring. Apples and Oranges, but if Reggie had a subpar night scoring, he more than likely had an awful game!
@DanielLawler The only thing he can do decent, is slash a little, but zero finishing ability..
@Turf is always Greener Yeah, I'm sure.
Funny enough, I liked Singlers game tonight... He played decent on defense, and all but one of his shots were good looking ones. I feel he's another game that once he's comfortable can step in and provide quality minutes whether at the 3 or 4. i'd say he's the most underrated piece of this whole trade.
@DanielLawler He was actually aight. On his first game, guarding a pretty crafty Center.
I understand their dynamic is a bit different, But i really feel DJ can have a Barea type impact on this team in the Playoffs. A killer against opposing teams second units. Once he learns to play with Mitch on that PNR, Jesus watch out.
@Tronchaser @ElMexiThunder This would have been a blown out, even without KD/Adams, If the new guys had a couple more games under their belt, this would have been a blown out regardless.
Saw some things i liked, Saw some things that worried me. It was a sloppy win over a not so impressive Hornets team. However, I can't help but feel that this would have been a blow out, if the new guys had a couple games under their belts.
@dollarbillrussell @ElMexiThunder Reggie isn't even trying anymore, and the Teams has should they're over this break up.

Its kinda heartbreaking how Reggie went from being our sixth man, who saved our season last year against Memphis, To a struggling role player because of the direction of the team. Just part ways already..
Holy Shit That Was An Ugly Possession
Mitch was fouled on the second attempt
The Awakenin of Dion
I kinda wish we had Tony
Poor Mitch, He tried doing the right thing, Now Scotts gonna bench him after a minute....
