I freak out a bit when I see people drinking from garden hoses. So many toxic chemicals! We got one that is lead-free, they aren't cheap though and I still wouldn't drink from it.

I'm so excited to finally meet you in person after all these years of being online friends. And I'm so flattered that you want me to share the stage with you.

@MelissaJonesEllis Yeah with the essential oils it really does need to be shaken up.

@CherieG Thanks, Cherie! And I keep trying to remember without, what seems like just a few of us, fighting for curbside recycling last year, we wouldn't have it now. And even if a lot of people choose not to use it, our recycling numbers are up. :)
@paigewolf Thanks, Paige! And yeah I'm sure even if I lived in the bay area I would feel like this sometimes. :)
@YourOrganicLife That's a good idea! There are a lot of great essential oils you can add to this. It's a good starting point. Mold is my main issue so the tea tree oil is great for that.

@Jenn Satter Like Beth says above, just a few drops and shake and it won't be a clump. I keep mine in a little spice jar.

I use baking soda with a little corn starch and several drops of tea tree oil. Works well!
@sj1035 Have you ever had someone love you but not except you? It's a terrible feeling. And if this is because of your religious beliefs you should not except anyone because the bible says all people are sinners and all sin is equal in god's eyes. If someone knows where you stand but disagrees with you, move on. There is also a big difference between something that all people know is harmful (i.e. drug use) and something that people have religious beliefs saying it's wrong (i.e. being gay, eating pork, etc...). My muslim friends don't love me but not expect my lifestyle of eating bacon, they love me and know I don't believe eating bacon is wrong, I don't force them to eat bacon and they don't judge me for eating it.

@sj1035 You missed the part where I said I'm guessing your daughter would know what you believe. Beliefs aren't black and white. Just because something is wrong to you doesn't mean it is to someone else.
It's not your place to judge. I'm sure your daughter now what you believe but she has to decide what she feels is right and wrong. You can live her life for her. And love that comes with strings isn't worth much. My family would say they love me but there judgement and their "I love you but..." hurts and is almost worst than no love at all.
@RachelCopeland@sj1035 And the most important commandment is to love one another. There was no footnote for that commandment, it's pretty simple.
@HannahJehl I have no answers for you, though I wish I did. I hope and pray your loved ones will soon see you are still the person they have always known and loved.
I'm a liberal environmentalist living in a small town in Oklahoma. Family members and friends talk about me behind my back, delete (and often block) me on Facebook, write blogs about how "evil" I am, etc... All because I'm different. It hurts, it hurts to find out so many people only cared about you because you were like them. When I was still a Republican they loved me, they talked to me, they cared about me but as soon as I became different the love was gone.
