Take the extra time to go to San Antonio... safer, cleaner, fans aren't tremendous D-bags unlike Memphis and Houston

Tennessee
> Violent crimes per 100,000: 643.6
> Poverty rate: 17.9%
> Pct. of population with bachelor’s degree or higher: 24.3%
> Property crimes per 100,000: 3,371.4 (10th highest)

Tennessee has the dubious distinction of having the worst violent crime rate in the country. The state was among the top 10 in the country for murders and robberies and was first for aggravated assaults, with an estimated 479.6 for every 100,000 residents. Tennessee’s 41,550 violent crimes in 2012 were up 6.8% from 2011 but down 10% from 2007, when there were 46,380 violent crimes. There were 388 murders in the state in 2012, up for a second straight year. To be fair, Tennessee’s violent streak is concentrated in some of the major metropolitan areas. Memphis’s violent crime rate was the nation’s fifth worst, while Nashville’s was the 18th worst. Like many states with high violent crime, poverty in Tennessee is acute, and high school and college graduation rates are lower than most of the country.

Unlike Harden he's been upfront about that fact...

ESPN polls.... 82% say they have a problem with flopping... seperate part of the same poll 80% say they have no problem with "the way Blake Griffin plays"... that's counterintuitive...

In the Thunder/Grizz series ESPN's experts appear to have unanimously chosen... The Denver Nuggets?  Bold!!!

Player of his caliber? His caliber was considerably lower at the time.

Is it time for an intervention? Because you're obviously on something.

Houston isn't getting to the Finals this year and they aren't getting any better in the coming years. Howard's not getting any younger and his back isn't going to get any better. He'll only decline. Lin and Asik have Peaked. Harden's game could improve but he's not shown that he has the work ethic to go to another level. Unless they have significant roster change they are absolutely not surpassing us.

Harden sold out a potential dynasty for perpetual mediocrity... period.

If it helps Indiana edge out Miami for homecourt I'd be oddly okay with that. Can we just start our second unit that game?

If you're going truly no conference I'd like to think Minny would have been more motivated in the second half of the season and edged out Charlotte for the last playoff spot... the Bobcats in the postseason just seems so weird and offputting.

But by the time he was defending Durant he was well past his prime and had to rely on means other than technique and athleticism to try and defend KD.

Barnes is another Beverly/Artest type defender... he's not going to defend him well but he's going to be exceedingly physical and has a deep bag of "veteran" (read: dirty) tricks to try and get under his skin.

Durant hacked twice hard on the final shot of Game 2 in the Finals against the Heat and after the game asked if it was a foul "they didn't blow the whistle so it wasn't a foul". Lady James gets blocked by a rookie on the final shot of a meaningless regular season game "it was a foul". Can't stand James and the Heat.

I certainly don't want to be a part of an entitled, whiny, and unappreciative fanbase.

I was told after the first season ticket member event after the lockout that they probably wouldn't have another one. So while they skimped a little this year compared to years past it's still better than nothing.

And with 98% renewal on season tickets and one of the few franchises with a waiting list they really didn't have to do anything.

Honestly though... they don't lose much with Asik still on the court. Howard when he's on definitely has the higher ceiling but Asik is much more steady an influence on the court. When Howard checks out mentally (as he's been more and more prone to do since he's developed back problems) he's pretty worthless.

I don't use iTunes (or really any apple products). I used to listen to the Jones podcasts on stitcher. No sooner did I ask that though than I found a feed on podbay.fm.

I miss having the pure audio feed from the Basketball Jones to listen to at work. Does that exist for "The Starters"?
