Fun question: if McGary entered the draft last season and both he and Adams are available at #12, who does Presti pick?

Am I crazy to think that Reggie, Morrow, Nick and Adams are all very good/elite-level bench players?

So the Cavs need a rim protector, eh? Three team trade!

Cleveland: Perk

Minnesota: Wiggins

OKC: Love

I'm not saying I agree with the narrative at all. I think it's crap. We've been smart and I feel like the media has done a terrible job at acknowledging that overall.

But I do hope that this long-held thought of OKC eventually going into the tax does in fact come to fruition.

One thing I will say.... hopefully this whole notion of "OKC will eventually be willing to go into the tax" will kick in soon. Maybe the offseason next year? That would go a long way, I'm sure, to shutting everyone up who says "KD is gonna leave cause OKC is cheap." That seems to be the #1 go-to reason why people would think he would leave. It would be great to completely close down that narrative.

I just think there will be an outpouring of love. Some of it will probably come off like the needy/insecure girlfriend, but a lot of it will be a genuine "we love you KD" type of thing. I mean, this is the same city that dressed buildings in beards and giant red glasses and that made a return trip from a Finals loss into a celebration parade. It's gonna happen.

I fully expect the people of Oklahoma City to do things like purchase billboards, start social media movements and send flowers, cards and chocolates to KD in the summer of 2016 to keep him here. I'm serious. The passion that OKC has for this team and the love we have for KD will come out in a million ways.

And knowing the kind of person is, it will touch him and make it that much harder to leave. Not even factoring in how good our team will be, the loyalty he already has and how hard it will be to leave Russ/Serge and his teammates.

Next offseason, Tim Duncan is going to retire, Manu will turn 38 and the Spurs are gonna have to give a lot of money to Kawhi Leonard. That's gonna be nice.

I think of Bill Simmons as the basketball version of Kevin Smith. Smith was/is a super nerdy movie buff who knows his stuff and it translated into a prominent role in the film industry. But his fanboy opinions come to the surface a lot and hurts some of his credibility when it comes to overall professionalism within the industry. And after peaking with his first few films (Clerks, Mallrats), his career has taken a hit over the years critically.

Manu gets ticked at the Spurs, tears up the letter, tears up his contract, plays at FIBA anyways, loses to Spain cause of Serge Ibaka, whispers in his ear afterwards that he was so impressed with Serge's recovery and heart and spirit last year that he wants to join him and help beat the Spurs, Pau overhears this conversation and wants to join in and demands a trade to OKC, we trot out a starting lineup of Russ/PJIII/KD/Ibaka/Gasol and a bench of Reggie/Manu/Morrow/Nick/Adams and we win the next two titles, causing KD and Russ to resign for less than max contracts, paving the way for an OKC dynasty.

Who's laughing now, San Antonio?! Who's laughing now?

First off, big time props for remembering my specific question in regards to Tibor vs Mirotic.

But it wasn't just my question from the other day. It seems like when things were being discussed as far as the Pau pursuit and people piecing Pleiss in proposing (say that five times fast) trades, that the general thought was that he added little to no trade value. Or maybe my feeling of it is wrong. You could very well be right.

3 days, 17 hours ago on Monday Bolts – 7.28.14

It's funny, on one hand, people are saying that Tibor Pleiss has zero value in trade conversations. Then on the other hand, people act like he's too good to come over to be a third strong center or to only sign for $2.1 million. I mean, if he's good enough to at least be a backup 5 and he's worth upwards of at least $3 million a year, he has to have at least some trade value. Or if he truly has no value, then he should be happy to come over for $2 million a year and be a third string center.

Combination of both characters and performances, because it's impossible to separate one from the other. Performances enhance characters and vice versa.

And obviously, Joffrey is horrible, BUT... he's the ultimate love to hate him villain. It was always exciting to see what new terrible thing he was going to do or say.

This was talked about below, and most everyone thinks it's just the president of that team saying stuff, but I'm starting to wonder if there's a where there's smoke, there's fire kind of thing going on here. It would be fun to have him join the team this year. It would, at the very least, give us something to talk about.

Haha. I'm just kidding around, really. I mean, I stand by the fact that those book series are mostly awful. But I was just joking as far as my veiled criticism of women authors vs men authors. I believe the problem lies in that the general public is eating up the lesser work and that it just so happens to be all young adult themed stuff, and those are mostly written by women. Not their fault.

Just as in music, a lot of the truly talented artists/authors will go under the radar while the masses consume the easy to digest, poppy stuff that lacks in artistic merit. There are exceptions to the rule in both music and literature, but for the most part, they don't make 'em like they used to.

Let's just say that there's a subtext to my post that most of the people who write the books in which I'm putting down wouldn't even get because their work is void of such things.

I just watched the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer and my gosh it looks terrible.

Between Twilight, Fifty Shades of Grey, The Hunger Games blatantly ripping off Battle Royale, Divergent, The Mortal Instruments, and Vampire Academy, the quality of book/movie series is really awful right now. I don't want to mention the one common denominator with all those authors.

But let's just be thankful for JK Rowling, that's all I'll say. :)

When Pop trotted out a big lineup in OT of Game 6 and Fisher kept getting switched onto Diaw or Duncan, I kept screaming for Brooks to put in either Perk, Adams, Nick or PJIII. Any of those four play in OT, and I think we might have played a Game 7.

Well, I'm operating on the assumption that Love goes to Cleveland. I just think that in the East, a big 3 of LeBron/Love/Irving with surrounding players like Miller, Thompson and Allen is more than enough to easily overtake the Bulls, Wiz and Heat. Although all three teams could give them trouble, especially if Love doesn't end up there.

At this point, can we all agree that the only real contenders for the title next season are OKC, San Antonio, LAC and Cleveland?

The Warriors and Bulls are probably next in line, but I just can't see any team besides those four winning it all next year unless something dramatic happens between now and the trade deadline.

If Adams can continue his upwards trend and reputation, and if Harden's reputation keeps plummeting, the national narrative on the Harden trade will change a bit. We will never "win" the trade, but the lack of defense/bad teammate stuff keeps mounting. And Adams' star is on the rise.
