Excluding trades, here is my dream roster for next season:
Starters: Russ. Thabo. K-Mart. KD. Serge.
Bench: Reggie. Lamb. PJIII. Nick. Steven Adams.
Situational players: Perk. Thabeet.
Bench mob: Fisher. Liggins. Orton.
@Thunder S @TempBoy Brandon No, I meant what he said about Russ, not the joke about amnestying Perk. :)
@nomad @TempBoy Brandon I just don't know how that makes much sense to our roster. MCW is a PG, and that would give us three. I know that all three of them could be combo guards, but even then, we would seem overloaded at the guard position when it's obvious our "weakness" is in the post and there are so many good options in this year's draft.
@Thunder S Glad LeBron is saying it, since every word out of his mouth is considered gold by the media. Might force them to actually.. gulp.. say it too.
I think that if Presti has his sights zeroed in on a particular center in this draft, he's going to get him. Aren't first round selections guaranteed contracts? Well, we have two first round selections, so I really doubt that we will want two guaranteed contracts added to this roster. Here's betting he falls in love with a certain center (all of a sudden, there are quite a few to choose from), and he packages picks together to make a move to get him.
@Old Man Game Adams.
@Royce Young If we get either Adams, Dieng or Gobert, we'll be getting another big with a sexxxy accent. We should lead the league in sexxxy accents.
@OBoy@JooseppiNew Zealanders and Australians hate each other! Here's proof (this is a must watch for hilarity's sake).

@Jooseppi Man, he's a really fun interview. And any Flight of the Conchords fans have gotta dig the New Zealand vibe. I'm really starting to like him with the #12 pick. Did the Thunder interview him?
@Sigmund @TrueChamp I went to a 66ers game this year, and Rautins' shooting stroke was unbelievable.
Here's the great thing about next season: we will only be better. We will lose nobody of substance whatsoever (maybe K Mart, but if so, we'll replace him with someone of equal value). And all our guys will be better, Lamb will become a part of the rotation, and we are adding another lottery pick to the mix.
The most exciting part of it all is that Presti has a ton of assets now. Presti is at his best when he has assets. Let the games begin!
@TheresABabyFaceUnderMyBeard @TempBoy Brandon This is actually really close to mine.
Let's just pretend for a second that the roster doesn't change at all from now until next season besides our #12 draft pick. And let's say that pick is whoever you want it to be (while still being possible). Rank our roster from 1-16 going into next season.
1. KD
2. Russ
3. Serge
4. Reggie (Is this crazy? I don't think so.)
5. K Mart
6. Nick
7. Thabo
8. Lamb
9. PJIII
10. Perk
11. draft pick (Dieng)
12. Brewer
13. Thabeet
14. Fisher
15. Liggins
16. Orton
@[censored] I really, really like the idea of a Russ/Reggie/Lamb/KD/Serge lineup. So many points, defense be damned!
@TheresABabyFaceUnderMyBeard I'd take him in a split second with the #12 pick. Too much top end talent and potential to pass him up. Especially considering the Thunder's history with developing players. If we resigned K-Mart on the cheap and drafted Shabazz, the Harden deal looks much better.
@Hasheem Thabinks @TempBoy Brandon @mattchant Okay, Pekovic then?
I'm sure some salary cap nerd will come along with actual facts and figures to destroy my dreams, but it's pretty to look at while it's still possible.
Personally, I'd love to see us resign K Mart to a bargain deal this offseason, somewhere in the $4-5 million range. But that is probably unlikely. So if we dump K Mart and amnesty Perk, would we have enough money to go out and get an Al Jefferson or Nikola Pekovic in free agency?
Russ/Reggie
Thabo/Lamb
KD/PJIII
Serge/Nick
Jefferson/Thabeet
Tell me that lineup doesn't make you feel all warm inside. Oh yeah, and we'll have the #12 overall pick in the draft.
@Daniel Hawaii Crazy, I feel the same way. I've been trying to explain this to my friends and family.
