This sucks. Really sucks. Three years in a row that we had maybe the best team in the NBA but lose one of our big three for the playoffs. Just doesn't seem fair.

That said... I fully believe KD will be back and 100% next season and if by some miracle we are able to stay healthy, we will have a better team than we've ever had. If we're healthy, nobody is beating us next season. The Warriors will probably be without Green, the Spurs will be a year older, Gasol might not be in Memphis, the Cavs may be without Love and Lebron will be another year past his prime. And the Thunder will still have KD, Russ, Serge, Kanter, Adams, Morrow, McGary and Augustin.

MJ didn't win his first title until he was 27. Lebron didn't win his first title until he was 27. KD and Russ will both be 27 next season.

Just something to think about before you jump off the ledge.

It's sad when your only rooting interesting on an NBA game night is for David West and ZaZa Pechulia to put up good fantasy numbers.

I've gotten my hopes up to a 50/50 proposition. So I'm setting myself up for some serious disappointment.

I wish we could do this with Andre Roberson/Kawhi Leonard.

I am so glad I logged back into DT one last time tonight for no other reason than having watched that. As someone who spent a few hours playing Snake back in the day, that was freaking fascinating.

I'd be shocked if more than two of Lamb, Perry, Novak and Singler were on the team next year.

@BiLL'FKN'Murray!

And that never happens. Being down KD, Serge, and Nick against the Spurs at their place on the second night of a back to back coming off a loss for them was a really bad recipe. We saw last year just how important Serge is against the Spurs.

That Brooks knows anything about his evaluation or that KD has a chance to come back?

Have we talked about how Brooks said we'd know in a a couple days whether or not KD would be back this season? Did DT analyze its meaning yet?

Haha I never said we could beat Golden State without KD and Serge. With them? Yes I think we can beat them.

Pre-trades, our offense was struggling because of a lack of shooters and a lack of scorers besides injured KD/Russ/Serge/pouty Reggie. Post-trades, we got a ton of shooters, a low post scorer and a backup PG who spreads the ball around.

It's like Presti knows what he's doing or something.

I hope Augustin can develop some chemistry with Adams/McGary on the bench. If they could, that would provide enough scoring punch along with Morrow's awesomeness to allow Roberson to play with the bench unit and dominate the opposing bench's best backcourt scorer.

Kate Upton is a great choice. Scarlett Johansson is up there as well. Also love Alexandra Daddario, she's a new favorite. I also dig Meagan Good and Anna Kendrick.

But in their prime, it's hard to beat Catherine Zeta-Jones or Cindy Crawford.

@DanielLawler Jazz fans were warning Thunder fans that Kanter would never ever pass out of the post and was a black hole. That's been a really pleasant surprise.

Alright, let's call it. Percentages that KD/Serge are back for the playoffs.

KD - I'll say 40%, which is much higher than I would've said after the initial announcement.

Serge - 65%.

Actually, here's the biggest reason why I like us in a series over GSW if we are at full health.

KD > Curry

Russ > Thompson

Serge/Kanter/Adams => Green/Bogut/Lee

@DanielLawler @_stache @TempBoy Brandon Serge's rebounds were on the rise once he started playing closer to the basket again.

@John Calipari & 'Dem Boys *Formerly Tvaddic* @TempBoy Brandon Yeah, I almost gave Serge the edge over Green and I think he's definitely better. But again, since it was close I put it at =. Did the same with Kanter/Bogut, which was tough since one is all offense and one is all defense.

Yeah, I actually had a really hard time with Morrow/Iguodala. That's how good I think Morrow is. Iggy has fallen off a tad, and Morrow's shooting is a gamechanger for us. And yeah-- Adams' defense is why I went with him over Lee. That and Lee just hasn't looked the same since he's been back from injury.

Russ = Curry (Russ is better, but if these are close, I'll just say they're equal.)

Waiters < Thompson

KD > Barnes

Serge = Green

Kanter = Bogut

Augustin > Livingston

Morrow < Iguodala

Nick = Speights

Adams > Lee

Brooks < Kerr

I think roster-wise, we have them beat. Both teams are deep and both teams have great top-end talent. But KD is the one who really gives OKC the edge in terms of players.

To be clear, I like Morrow much, much more than Waiters and if I had my way, Morrow would absolutely be starting.

But I know that Brooks won't do it. But he might start Waiters because he likes his defense. So I should have put a disclaimer that I was saying what I think Brooks should/might do.

If Waiters keeps this up, I think at full strength, our lineups should look like this...

Russ/Waiters/KD/Serge/Kanter

Augustin/Roberson/Morrow/Nick or McGary/Adams

The reason that the Thunder's injuries are so bad is because at full strength, we are a legit contender. It's not like New Orleans or Indiana are missing out on a title run. And it's amplified when you consider that this is three years running that injuries have ruined a title run.

Yeah, the first episode being in the Bolts had a lot to do with it getting to 1,200 for sure. That's why I think getting to 500 with the second episode without it being in the Bolts and without it getting the new hype of the first episode is pretty awesome.
