Trayvon became a thug when he hid in the bushes or returned to the T intersection of the path rather than going home (or anywhere else). He had plenty of time to escape yet he chose to stay and fight. He lost and I'd have done EXACTLY what Zimmerman did under the circumstances.

Actually, I'm a pretty nice guy. I give to charity, help people every chance I get. . .you'd have a hard time picking me from the Christians - unless they were kneeling in prayer of course <g>. Just get real tired of hearing about your sky gods, that's all.

Stupid, racist comment. Nobody deserved to die.

The actual facts of the case are very simple. Martin sucker punched Zimmerman breaking his nose and sending him to the ground. He then mounted Zimmerman and beat him about the head, MMA style, causing injury to the back of the head. Zimmerman is swallowing blood, is seeing stars, is disoriented, confused and in pain and screaming for help. Then he hears Martin tell him that he's going to die tonight and feels him go for his gun. Zimmerman is in fear for his life, he draws his legally carried weapon and fires blindly.
Not guilty by way of self-defense.
@Evermyrtle @SharonTaylor @PaulSmith @pissedoff
That's because you're not happy leaving us alone and I cite this post, your very comment, as a prime example. Keep it the hell to yourselves!
Oh, I'm fearful, Sharon, very fearful. People who follow the Bible kill, take slaves and plan for the second coming. I'm VERY fearful!

And a book of fables to go with Santa. How fun.
@RandyPhillips1 @The real Smart Guy @Maranatha_Mark
Yawn. Zimmerman is innocent. Unfortunately, the system isn't perfect.
Nothing of any value there to which I need to respond. 100% of Zimmerman's actions were legal including the shooting. If that bunch of women doesn't see that, however, I won't be surprised.
Like Santa Clause, it doesn't exist - you just have this feeling that it exists. It have no power over you that you don't give it. Someday, you might figure out how you allow it to control your life as I did. Wish it hadn't taken so damn long. I gave up Santa Clause at five - it took another 60 years before I finally figured out that god is in the same category - a figment of my imagination.
It is your imaginary god that is evil - not my soul, dear.
@Evermyrtle @PaulSmith @KevinHoman @The real Smart Guy @Maranatha_Mark
I do my best to limit my comments to the evidence presented. The judge would have thrown this out of court long ago if she didn't fear for her life - there is no evidence that Zimmerman's actions were illegal.
Do you not understand that what you believe is irrelevant? We do not believe and we don't want to hear about your beliefs. . .got it?
Stick it where the sun don't shine, lady.
lol Touchy. I have two brother, bro, and you aren't either of them either. Deal with it.
As to your sky god, you're welcome to any imaginary friend you like - Santa Clause, Superman, Bugs Bunny - it's quite irrelevant to me but we really don't care to hear about your nonsensical, imaginary friends' opinions - they're irrelevant to the matter at hand.
I believe strongly in loser pay laws. Nobody should be allowed to ruin others via frivolous lawsuits.
@KevinHoman @PaulSmith @The real Smart Guy @Maranatha_Mark
It doesn't matter what you believe nor your interpretation of the law. Sorry.
You just don't get it, do you, Kevin? Who the aggressor was is not relevant. Was Zimmerman in fear for his life or great bodily harm when he used deadly force? ALL evidence points to YES, he was ergo innocent by reason of self defense.
Had Martin gone home, which he had plenty of time to do, he would be alive today. He failed to protect himself and he paid the price.
Under the conditions at the time, Zimmerman clearly thought that his life was in danger. Yes, he had the right to use deadly force to protect himself.
Z. could not possibly have started the fight. Z. was on the phone with the police, with no indication of exertion in his voice, for over two minutes after M. started running away and disappeared. M. had plenty of time to get home and settle in in front of the TV before that call ended had he chosen to do so. Instead, he decided to play the knockout game. . .and he lost.
We're all related back there someplace. The one thing I agree with is that we originated from dust - I just disagree with the method by which that dust became flesh.
I do not fear your Santa Clause or Easter Bunny or Ra or Brahma or whatever other name you choose to give it. All of them have the exact same source - the fertile mind of man. You are an atheist just as I am - I just believe in one less imaginary god than you do.
