First, I want to say, as others have, what a wonderful idea this is. I often learn about new businesses in Lancaster City through Ken’s blog, or the Downtown Lancaster Facebook page, but thanks to this contest, I have a list of new places to explore!

I live in Lititz, and love the fact that I can walk to the shops on Main Street. Some favorites are Café Chocolate, The Spotted Owl, Heavenly Soaps and Scents, Zest, Cherry Acres, The Bulls Head Public Hosue at The General Sutter Inn, and as of today, Eco Loco! But weekends will usually find me in Lancaster at Lemon Street Market and Central Market shopping for my fresh produce, spices, and foods for the week. One of my favorite places in the city is Tellus360, because it is becoming a true neighborhood gathering place with lots of fun community events. The good cheer and creativity is always flowing at Tellus360. I mean, where else can you take a yoga class on a green roof overlooking the city of Lancaster?! My eyewear comes from European Eyewear. First Fridays always includes stops at City Folk, Fresco Green Scene, Zanzibar, Details, Prince Street Café, Carmen & David’s Creamery, and, gee…I could go on and on. There is such energy in the city on First Fridays, and it seems there is always a new business to discover. We are truly fortunate to have such a diverse and creative community in Lancaster.
